Before: Peta's morale a question in this fight against the flashy WWF valet. Aussie not happy to be part of a farcical McMahon promotion, not wanting to participate in staged pre-fight antics, and not happy about the weight she has to lose to face the svelte fitness chick. A gaunt, dispirited Peta Wilson doesn't look like the overwhelming favourite she should be in this fight. Torrie in red sports bra, red sprinter's trunks, white gloves and shoes, Peta in identical uniform, black.

During R1: Midring, Peta's legs look shaky early as the girls trade routine hooks on the chin and PW's knees buckle. Encouraged, Torrie drills in right crosses and continues to crash hooks into the side of Peta's head - putting Nikita up against the ropes in disarray. Bell to bell beat down shows Tori at her best - with nothing coming back from Peta, Torrie looks crisp, offensively dangerous as she bites into Aussie waist with brick-fisted combinations, and pounds away between Peta's raised gloves with short right hands in close.

R2: PW shakes it off, meets Torrie midring for another exchange of hooks, TW the first to blink, steps out and starts to circle. Peta lancing in and down with straight right hands to the breadbasket - she gets Tori going backwards and by the midway point it's Peta stepping with Torrie at the ropes, keeping something on the American at all times, bullying and pushing in between punches. Fight grinds along at the perimeter - seconds left: Peta throws a decoy left and slings a beautiful cross in on jaw from her hip, shattering Torrie's head around and putting the valet helpless into the ropes. TW pitches forward to hit canvas on her side, then rolls to her back - arms rigid, up in the air as her outstretched legs spasm with random synaptic action. KO2 Peta Wilson - NO doubt about it.

After: Torrie blasted all the way out - is many minutes recovering from a truly devastating punch on the chin. Peta doesn't seem all that happy with the win, exiting the ring without fanfare, just going to the pay window after barely breaking a sweat. Good news in the following days for PW - hard punching performance has aroused the interest of several high profile welters - Peta might just have done herself some good tonight after all.
