JEN LILLEY VS AUTUMN REESER

Hallmark Showdown III

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Jen: 36 YO, 5’3 (1.60 m), FCBA Debut, Free Agent

Autumn: 40 YO, 5’4 (1.63 m), 2-3-0 since 2016, Pretty Little Punchers

Before: Hallmark officials pleased about the reaction to their first two “Showdowns” return to Celebrity Boxing After Dark with two more bouts. First up we have Autumn Reeser, most days the Communications Director for the Pretty Little Punchers organization, but she now is in her second “Showdown” after beating Lacey Chabert in her first. Tonight she’ll be facing off against popular Hallmark Channel star Jen Lilley.

“Hey, I am ready to go!” declares the bubbly Jen. “I have experienced in daytime soap boxing and several independent promotions. I never expected to find myself in an FCBA event and I want to do all I can make a successful one. I know my work is cut out for me against Autumn, but I feel I can pull off the upset!”

Autumn smiling with veteran calm: “I am glad to be back fighting under the Hallmark banner. I beat Lacey Chabert, now I get to take on Jen Lilley. I am not underestimating her, but experience does count and I feel I’ve got it in this fight. My goal is to win as many Hallmark fights as possible—who knows, they may put out a special Christmas tree ornament in my honor if I do well enough!”

The fighters are using the specially decorated ring: blue canvas with a gold Hallmark crown on it. Autumn comes to the ring in a white one piece with blue gloves and boots (white laces). Bobbed hair is loose, but wetted down. Jen is in silver one piece with an attention getting plunging neckline. Black boots and gloves with silver laces. Hair pulled back into a French braid.

Autumn looking annoyed at that deep V neckline on Jen’s suit. Jen smiles sweetly and says: “I wanted to be sure everyone noticed me.” Autumn looks disdainful and turns to the ref: “Let’s get this going.”

Deidre Hall returns as tonight’s referee and, as usual.she takes a non-nonsense approach. Ring instructions follow promptly and after a polite gloves tap, fighters are back in their corners. Autumn impatiently pounding her mitts together. Jen’s got that cat-that-ate-the-canary smile which seems to rankle Autumn all the more. The bell rings….

R1: Jen Lilley comes barreling out of her corner and starts flinging excited, though not well-aimed punches at Autumn Reeser. Autumn ducking away from the barrage counters with jabs that smite Jen to the face and side of the head. Jen slows down and now Autumn moves forward and pumps hooks into Jen’s midsection. Jen falling back, but uses her jab to slow Autumn’s advance. Autumn moving from side to side, trying to draw Jen off balance, but Jen not biting. Jen then tries to return to the offensive, but takes a hard right to the chin that sends her back on shaking legs. Autumn moves after her, trying to get at Jen’s head, but Jen blocking with her mitts. Autumn going at Jen to the body, but runs out of time. Judges give it to Autumn Reeser by a narrow margin.

R2: Jen is again out quickly from her corner, but so is Autumn. However, Jen showing better targeting as she finds Autumn’s chin and jaw early. Autumn whacked hard, shuffles back with her mitts up around her head. Jen pounds away at Autumn to the abs, ribs and adds a few smacks to the breasts. Autumn not appreciating the jug banging, goes after Jen’s easily available melons with vengeful straight rights and lefts. Jen hangs in against these boob busters and gives it right back to Autumn’s rack. Autumn tries to side step, but lowers her gloves just and bit. Jen strikes with a booming right that sends Autumn lurching towards the ropes. Autumn manages to catch herself and cover up as Jen is upon her trying to drive Autumn into the ropes. Autumn manages to stay off the ropes in a fierce battle of body jabbing to the bell. Another close round, but this time it is Jen Lilley who wins the stanza.

R3: Bell rings and the two fighters both come out quickly. Jen going to the body with her initial flurry of punches, while Autumn is banging blows off Jen’s head. Jen falls back and tries to circle, but Autumn goes right at her. Exchange of smacking blows to the face, then they trade jaw shots and they are both sent staggering away. However Jen and Autumn quickly recover and plunge towards each other. Now they are going to the stomach and ribs with hooks. They then seem to freeze in place, pounding away to the body, but neither is willing to give ground. Then Autumn goes after Jen to the juggs and Jen is quick to respond in kind. Vengeful breast busting is sustained long enough for both fighters to start gasping for air and lean into each other. Referee Deidre Hall separates them, but they quickly go back at it, though now the blows are down in the stomach area. They battle down to the bell and don’t seem to hear the bell. Referee has to push them apart. Round is ruled a DRAW.

R4: Out they come again as Jen and Autumn head for the center of the ring. Autumn trying to dart in and clip Jen a right to the jaw, but Jen ready. Autumn walks into a smashing right uppercut that sends her reeling backwards. Jen follows and hammers away at Autumn to both sides of the jaw. Autumn desperately jabbing to hold Jen off until she can get her high guard in place. Jen blocked to the head, quickly turns to hammering away at Autumn to the stomach and her deep, driving hooks bend Autumn forward. Now Jen can attack Autumn’s breasts and face as they hang down from her upper body. Autumn scrambling to back out of there. Jen looking to drive Autumn into the ropes, but can’t quite manage it before time runs out. Jen smiling happily as she has her best round of the night and wins it wide. Autumn trying not to look shaken, but she’s slow returning to her corner.

R5: Jen out eagerly as the bell sounds. She heads for Autumn who is looking cautious coming out for this round. Jen dancing around Autumn, pummeling her to the flanks, body and head, but Autumn is firing out a steady stream of jabs are pounding Jen in the breasts. Jen forced to retreat so she can suck air into her aching lungs. Then Autumn shoots forward with a vicious right hook to the bell that puts Jen up on her toes even as it jackknifes her forward at the waist. Then BOOM! Autumn Reeser right uppercut CRASHES into Jen’s chin. Jen topples forward and lands in a heap as Autumn steps aside. It’s off to the neutral corner for Autumn Reeser as Referee Deidre Hall moves in to start counting. Jen all huddled up, arms wrapped around her blasted torso and trying to rise. Jen reaches a sitting position on the blue canvas, but that’s the best she can do.

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!...YOU’RE OUT!” Deidre Hall declares.

THE WINNER OF THE FIRST MATCH OF HALLMARK CHANNEL SHOWDOWN 3: AUTUMN REESER DEFEATS JEN LILLEY KO5!

After: “Wow, my third win! My second for Hallmark! Thank all those people in the Front Office who helped set this up! Jen was a good opponent, but I was better!” Exults Autumn Reeser. “I cannot wait to see who I get to fight next!”

“I was winning, I know I was winning,” laments Jen Lilley in the post fight, “I guess I got too anxious for the KO and walked into one myself. I guess that’s a lesson for me, but it doesn’t change the fact that I lost. I don’t want to feel like this again! Net time I will win!”

This was a close fight most of the way, but Jen Lilley seemed to pull ahead in the 4th. Unfortunately for Jen, Autumn Reeser was experienced enough to see an opening in the 5th and took Jen out. Come from behind win for Reeser has to make her feel good as her modest FCBA record goes to 3-3. Painful disappointment for Jen Lilley. She did show talent and enthusiasm. Fans can only hope we’ll see more of her in the future.
