Intro:
Now it's main event time and what a way to end the third round of the Diamond Boxing tournament, British Babes slugging it out on home soil, the former FCBA welterweight champion Gemma Atkinson (0-2) will be hoping to ruin the undefeated run in the tournament of her opponent, with Emma Corrin (2-0) gaining fans support as she has risen through the welterweight rankings quickly, the Royal Albert Hall hosts this important fight.

Prefight videos were made from both fighters, first on the set was Gemma, who stepped in wearing a navy blue dress, sitting on the stool with a serious look, Gemma tells the camera "so far this tournament has been a bust for me, stepping into somewhere as legendary as the Royal Albert Hall, fighting in front of my family and friends, that is keeping me motivated, to knocking you out Emma and spoiling your tournament, that is keeping my head up, this is where I lay down my marker for the rest of the tournament" pointing at herself, she finishes with "because I am one of the best in that ring, never forget that!" Then stands up to leave after making her point.

Emma meanwhile walks in wearing a black dress with a black handbag, she sits down with a confident grin, she says "fighting in the Royal Albert Hall is a dream come true, not many get to do so, while I am honoured by this, I honestly don't think Gemma should be in should hallowed halls, for the past few years you have regressed badly, while you like to parade in lads mags I have been making a star of myself in serious shows, I don't like you or respect you Gemma, I must do what I have to get you out my way so I can focus on the biggest fish in this tournament, I've proven twice already that I am going to win this tournament, you'll be the number name on my list, just four more to go" standing up, she marches out the room not exactly showing any respect to a former champion.

Now it's fighting time, first out onto the aisle is Gemma with her coach Denise Lewis, both get a rousing cheer as Gemma cups her ears with a massive smile, she walks down the aisle promising the crowd a show as she looks relaxed, stepping into the ring wearing a red sports bra with black trim, matching trunks and shoes, black gloves, her hair is tied back into a ponytail, she bounces on her toes thudding her gloves together as she gets psyched up.

Through the curtain now comes Emma to her own loud cheer, maybe a little louder then Gemma's as this is home field advantage for her, she heads to the ring with coach Jeri Ryan beside her, nodding to the fans but more focused on the ring, she steps through the ropes wearing a navy blue dress with silver stripes down the sides, matching trunks and shoes, silver gloves, with her hair tied into a ponytail, she takes a deep breath before starting to shadow box in her corner.

Referee bringing the fighters to the center of the ring, duelling chants ringing out as both fighters lock eyes in an almost hateful stare down, when told to touch gloves Gemma holds hers out but Emma turns her back, showing she truly meant her disrespect for her foe tonight, Gemma nodding with a scowl as she turns to her corner, once everything is ready the bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
"Ding!" Both women step out their corners with their eyes locked, trading single punches as circle, Emma up on her toes more of the two, looking to find openings to land their rights, Gemma being more aggressive with her right, just missing as Emma moves out of range in time.

Emma looks comfortable till Gemma lands a straight to her chest, that stops Emma long enough for a left hook to turn her head, Gemma now muscling her onto the ropes, where she can start working away at the body of Corrin to try to wear her down, Emma using her left to push back Gemma so she can move away from the ropes.

Keeping on the front foot, Gemma slamming in a one-two combo through the mitts of Emma, who is still landing mostly jabs, keeping the younger fighter on her heels, with Gemma looking relaxed as she picks her targets nicely, reminding Emma why she was a champion.

Late in the round Emma finds her opening after deflecting a straight, drilling her jab into the chin of Gemma, two cross punches follow as Emma drives Gemma back to the middle, with the GBS fighter showing off her quick hands to pile in a three punch combo to the head of Gemma just before the bell rings, a solid start by Atkinson, Corrin though showing a glimpse of her class at the end.

Round 2:
Emma is starting to double up her jab now as she moves more side to side, giving Gemma a bit of a headache by striking her around her gloves to her cheeks as Gemma looks annoyed, landing a nice jab followed by a right cross when she finally times her attack.

The plan of Atkinson is clearly to pin down Corrin, problem is when she starts to work back the brunette towards a corner or the ropes, Emma finds her way out of trouble and starts to rifle in more hard two punch combos to the beautiful face of the blonde.

A missed right hook by Gemma as she shows some of that frustration, leads to a counter left across her cheek, followed by a straight onto her nose, Emma now being more assertive as she forces Gemma back near the ropes, picking her shots as she starts to test out the abs of her opponent.

Final thirty seconds sees Gemma catch Emma flush with a right hook on the jaw, Emma retreating back as Gemma comes after her, ending up clinched together, a few rabbit punches to backs of heads come in as both really want to win this fight, the bell rings as they are broken apart, the GBS camp looks happier with their fighter after the slow start in the opener.

Round 3:
Back out their corners now knowing what they are exactly fighting, both fighters are now throwing more punches in bunches, leading to some heated exchanges as Emma starts to stand her ground, maybe not so wise with Gemma built solidly from her years of muay Thai training on top of her boxing training.

It looks like she baited Atkinson in as Emma steps back quickly as a looping right hook comes her way, only finding thin air, with a counter left hook landing around the eye of Gemma, who cries out and finds herself being smacked with a right hook on her jaw to boot.

Gemma a little more cautious as she is forced near the ropes, keeping her right high as she blinks to clear her eye, which has a little swelling around it, Emma looking comfortable now as she throws in straight combos, targeting the body with solid hits as she looks to open things up top to really hurt the soap star.

Gemma using her jab to keep Emma from overwhelming her, she slings in some nice rights off her back foot, Emma though is simply outworking her, when the round ends it's surely another one on the board for Corrin, who gets a nod and a smile from Jeri, Gemma meanwhile has her right eye worked on as Denise tells her to suck it up.

Round 4:
It looks like Atkinson is sick of Emma teeing off on her so easily, when Emma stays static a little too long Gemma uses her left shoulder to bump her to the ropes, using her right to pound in body shots that are close to the waistband of the brunette, referee breaking them up warning Gemma to watch her punches.

Soon enough Corrin is again forced near the ropes, Gemma turning the heat up on her as both sling in stiff single punches, Gemma lands a hard left cross to the jaw of Emma, then an uppercut sends her back to the ropes, like an alligator latching onto it's prey, Gemma is quick to pin down Emma, smacking her with several punches around her guard to the body and side of the head, Emma forced to clinch up as she certainly didn't enjoy being roughed up.

Back to doubling up her jab to ward off Gemma, Emma is doing her best to get her rhythm going again, striking Gemma through her mitts to her face, getting caught still with some mean looking cross punches, Atkinson not wanting to let Corrin breath as she again swings in hooks to try to drive her to the ropes.

Soon there's blood as a left cross slices open a cut on the bottom lip of Emma, who when the round ends mouths "f**k" before heading to her corner, Jeri working on the cut as this was a round to forget for the "Pennyworth" star, Gemma meanwhile is tapping her toes, looking eager to keep on fighting.

Round 5:
Out the gates quickly comes Gemma, looks like too quickly as Emma crouches under a left cross to bang in two punches to the abs of Gemma, a cuffing right lands around the side of Emma's head, making Emma retreat back to space, Gemma nodding to herself that was a mistake she can't make again.

Each time Gemma looks like she is starting to gain traction, forcing Emma towards the ropes, she ends up being countered and Emma forces her back to the middle of the ring as the crowd are on their feet cheering both their countrywomen on.

Past half way in the round, Emma ducks a right cross, landing an overhand left across the eye of her opponent, Gemma wincing as she backs off, that right eye is giving her some problems as it looks puffy, Emma starting to get off her combinations again as Gemma shells up.

When Atkinson does try to swing out her guard she misses, Emma up on her toes looking almost cruelly smug as she is picking away through Gemma's defences, at the bell Gemma scowls at Emma, who returns to her corner with Jeri tapping her on her left arm as she praises her work there, again in the Beever's corner that right eye is worked on before it gets really serious.

Round 6:
Needing to force the issue now before her eye shuts, Gemma is targeting more the chest of Emma early, that seems to stop the brunette in her tracks long enough for a right hook to turn her head, Gemma forcing back Emma into a neutral corner, Denise yelling "f**k here up!" As Gemma bangs in uppercuts to the body till she gets held onto.

Broken up and out the corner, Emma catches Gemma with a one-two clean into her face, momentum swinging the other way as Corrin now seems confident she can walk down the powerful blonde, a right cross catches her across her lips again to make her wince, a jab lands straight on them to make more blood trickle down to the chest of Emma from her chin.

Back and forth they go till the half way point of the round, an uppercut catches Emma as Gemma slips a jab, knocking Corrin onto her heels, Atkinson driving her back into her own corner, where again Gemma pounds the body of Emma, who is starting to gasp till she can clinch again.

Both women are starting to really show the effects of this back and forth battle, Emma not so much on her toes, allowing Gemma to keep knocking her back as she piles on the pressure, at the end of the round Gemma raises her arms in the air to remind Emma who won this round, Emma scowling at her now before they return to their stools, being cleaned up and patched up.

Round 7:
Stepping back out trading stiff shots, Gemma looking to keep the heat on Emma, landing several stinging shots to the lips of the brunette, a left cross turning Emma's head as sweat with some blood flies off, Emma in gut check time here as Atkinson piles in the punches.

A missed straight from Gemma leaves her open to a left to the body, then an uppercut knocks back the head of Gemma, Emma now forcing her back towards the ropes, her fans rallying behind her, a left cross smacks across that swollen right eye, Gemma yelping as it is close to shutting, she pushes off Corrin as Denise is yelling at her to get back at Emma.

They nearly clash heads when they resume, neither wanting to give their opponent an inch, drilling away on the inside as the crowd is chanting for both, Gemma still looks to have the strength advantage, pushing back Emma with her left, then slamming in her right to the forehead of the younger fighter, knocking her head back as she starts to get her forwards momentum going again.

Late in the round a left cross catches Gemma on the eye again, Emma forcing Gemma to shell up as she knocks her back towards the ropes, several clubbing shots land around the guard of Atkinson, the round ends with both women staring each other down, seeing the damage they've done as the referee gets between them, again both fighters camps working hard to patch them up.

Round 8:
Gemma is starting to look worn out as her right eye is shut, Emma starting to catch her coming in, an uppercut snaps back Gemma's head early on, Emma landing a left hook to wobble Gemma to the side, A MISSED RIGHT HOOK BY GEMMA LEADS TO A COUNTER UPPERCUT FLUSH ON HER CHIN! DOWN GOES ATKINSON ONTO HER FRONT!

Emma jogging to the neutral corner, leaning against the turnbuckles with her eyes locked on Gemma, 1...2...3.. Gemma starts to push up onto all fours, 4....5...6.. Her arms give way though, down onto her front again, 7...8.. Denise shaking her head as she looks to the ceiling, 9...10 Gemma is toast! Counted out again!

Winner Emma Corrin KO Round 8

After:
The crowd on it's feet applauding both women, Emma getting the third win in the tournament but worked hard to get it, she raises her arms in the air as she looks back at the crowd, her supporters yelling their joy as this might be the changing of the guard in English celebrity boxing tonight as Emma rips the torch out of Gemma's hands.

Gemma needing to be helped up to her stool by Denise, who looks pissed off but stays professional to work on her fighter, Gemma wincing each time that right eye is touched, she keeps showing the spirit is there in these tough fights, something has gone from her though that's stopping her winning the big fights she used to.

Emma laughs as she looks over at Gemma, seeing the damage she did to her, Jeri wiping her down and telling Emma "you've got this tournament in your hands, take it and don't look back" with Emma nodding as she smiles.

The referee brings Emma to the center of the ring, with Jeri handing Emma a Union Jack flag, which is draped over the shoulders of Corrin, who is beaming as her fans chant "there's only one Emma Corrin! One Emma Corrin!" While her right arm is raised in victory.

All the while Gemma scowls at her, needing to be helped out the ring, head up as she isn't going to let this latest set back get her down it seems, she'll need to focus on healing up first before she gets back into the ring to refocus on winning.

While Emma does a lap of honour around the inside of the ring, holding the Union Jack flag up, she looks to be grabbing the spotlight in this tournament as a possible winner, the GBS stable know how to build welterweights and Emma looks close to breaking into the elite.
