BEFORE: Bethany Joy acknowledged as the hardest-nosed girl on OTH, and one of the best journeywomen at the house of CW...so why's Seyfried taking the risk? "Well, the fact is, at my size - a lot of the best fights involve TV girls," Amanda shrugs. "And, plus, I'm still learning and I need developmental bouts STAT, you know? AND, if you saw the feedback from my fans once Galeoti was announced, you'd know my peeps are happy - so I'm really looking forward to swappin' leather with this girl!" Galeoti with a real chance to get out of the sparring gym and get herself noticed: she's hungry to batter the Mama Mia starlet. "There's no question that Amanda's a pampered sell-out who needs a good bracing," Bethany shrugs in prefight. "I see girls like her getting big movies and big fights, and it just makes me want to puke. If you took her backstage at One Tree Hill, we would pass her around like a hand-me-down sweater. This girl is getting pub we all would kill for, and now that I have the chance to ruin her, I'm not going to let it pass!" Bethany-Joy in pink bra; evergreen cheerleader spanky-bottoms; black gloves; black shoes with white socks rolled down. Amanda in baby blue bra; royal blue cheerleader spanky bottoms; white shoes/white socks rolled down; white gloves; hair top knotted off her face and long down her back - wispy bangs dangling down past her cheeks. Staredown: feisty Amanda gets nose to nose with Bethany: BJ Galeoti places knuckles against blonde tummy and eases Amanda back a step.

During R1: ACTION! Amanda pawing jabs, stubbing them out on Bethany's face/breasts, then plowing in righty to jug, then she's just in there pitching. Joy Galeotti bangin' back: festive free-for-all sees both girls gasp or stagger as punches bounce off faces/pound off bodies. Too close to call 'til late when BJG bounces a HUGE right hand off Amanda's face, finally unhinging blonde knees. Seyfried wobbling about: Galeotti cleans her up hooks; bludgeons her to ropes; pours on a jiggly beatdown that has crowd on its feet through 1 blazing heat.

R2: Still crazy-hectic - but action a little more methodical as girls get settled. Fighters slug, then fall-in: plenty of squirming and bumping as Amanda reaches behind Bethany's elbows to control and turn her. Seyfried shoving short-shots into Bethany's tummy: Amanda alternating the steady chugging right/left rhythm with cuter swats and cuffs in spots. Galeotti still getting her work done, but she's getting walked around here - pushed to spots and touched up by enterprising Amanda through 2.

R3: Similar stuff - neither girl elusive: they paw jabs, look to ram in straight rights, clean up a few hooks...then they're tummy to tummy and working hard in the clinch. Amanda grabby with Beth - reaching behind her elbows, cuffing at her hips and lats - outworking Galeotti until ref's breaks. Spirited lasses high-coloured, lathering up nicely through 3 hard working heats.

R4: Galeotti in charge early - left arm wrapped round Amanda's shoulders; right fist plugging into Amanda's shoulders as grunting Seyfried sits in ropes. Midway through, free-swinging brawling sees Amanda paste Bethany right/lefts upside the head: Joy Galeotti staggers out if it - munching on a swinging hook that SITS HER DOWN! BJG stunned, sitting up pretty and pasted: Amanda delighted, fairly prancing all dimples to neutral corner. Rickety 8, BJG: she forms earmuff, sits in ropes and soaks up a romping clean-up beatdown from effervescent Amanda. Seyfried all jiggly-buns and swinging fists - pounding at her girl's rounded arms/shiny flanks/trembling tummy as poor Bethany rides out a whomping.

R5: Stop and go fighting as girls bump, slug, fall in, squirm. Amanda always working, even tummy to tummy - wriggling her hands in around Beth's elbows; turning her; swatting at her flanks/hips until ref's breaks. Fight wanders around as girls keep piling in together: Amanda busier, always trying to get into Beth while Galeotti's happy to wait for ref's breaks.

R6: Same again - close round; hard-working stuff as girls grunt and push in sweaty embraces, each trying to be the tummy-boss. Seyfried walking Bethany into ropes: Galeotti wedging elbows inside Amanda's clinches to reverse and twist Seyfried ropeside; both girls holding and hitting. Once again, Seyfried just busier - not caring if she's swatting on hips or biceps - she's always working to put mitts on meat. Close in, Amanda able to smear right hands against BJG's rack to separate herself at bell.

R7: Amanda reaches under BJG's full arms, bodies her to ropes, begins to bump and grind on her. Joy Galeotti grimacing - grumpy from the constant press of blonde upon her. Amanda pumping - jamming her fists into Bethany's tummy; swiping across jug; writhing and wriggling to free up uppercuts or clubbing blows upside head. Sloppy stuff, but Bethany being outworked by larger and larger margins. BJG failing to reverse Amanda into ropes this round: blonde girl able to maintain top position bell to bell, essentially shutting brunette out.

R8: Bethany hooking off the jab, fitting Amanda for good stern chin-clouts early. Seyfried gobbling, walking through it: she applies tummy to the problem, tying up and walking Bethany Joy to ropes. Squirming, mugging stuff: Galeotti groaning with the effort of turrrrning Amanda into ropes: Seyfried wriggling her arms in under Bethany's to return the favour. Fight tumbles along ropes - girls holding and stuffing in body shots until ref's breaks. Once again, Amanda wants to work; Galeotti a little complacent in the clinch.

R9: Same story: Galeotti getting off and banging-with Amanda when the girls swap shoulder to shoulder...soon as they fall in to clinch, Seyfried's the more active beauty. Fight burbles along ropes as girls reverse each other along - each working out of the wrap, but Seyfried the more committed to it. Girls reaching left arms in under opposing rights - working thick little right hands into offending guts and tits: Amanda constantly bulling Beth to ropes and simply out-touching her.

R10: Bethany Joy fits Amanda for a sneaky hook as Seyfried's coming in: blonde wobbled, easily turned into ropes as BJG takes over. Beatdown issued, Bethany to Amanda: systematic veteran takes it to shiny ingenue, working Seyfried over hip to head. Amanda sitting in ropes, suffering: Beth's got her left arm in under Amanda's right - controlling blonde with left shoulder in the chest while right hand roams to body uncontested. Gut check for Seyfried - curvy legs/buns hold her up as she absorbs a fearful, methodical pounding: Bethany Joy cleaning up, but just can't beat the quit out of her blonde. Comes back UD10 wide Amanda Seyfried.

After: BJG pursing lips, making a big show of hating the decision - but one good round can't make up for a bunch of lazy ones. Amanda not cute or classy, but SO competitive and scrappy - just climbing into her elder-sisters spankies and outworking her minute by minute. "It was a great fight!" Seyfried says, face all flushed as she stands hands on hips. "We knew she'd be tough, and she was super-sturdy: every round it was just a job of work to push her down and punish her. I wanted it more though: deep down, I think Bethany's just happy to get on TV, whereas I want way more than that. That's the big difference!"
