BEFORE:

"Thing is, Chriqui can fight," Kristen says without a hint of a smile. "I've watched a lot of tape on her. She knows what she's doing. She beat Shahi five straight rounds at the beginning of their fight. The only question about Emmanuelle has been toughness. Well. How many more opportunities like this do you think she's going to get? I suspect she'll be plenty tough tonight."

"Stewart isn't as good as I am," Chriqui says, hard eyed. "She's gotten everything in the FCBA handed to her because everybody thinks she's some big movie star. Well, tonight the only thing she's going to get handed to her is her a**!"

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "We move from the lights to the flys here, Mac, as Emmanuelle Chriqui comes down the aisle to 'Detroit Rock City.' She's the underdog here, but you think she has a chance..."

McCarthy: "She does. She hasn't been in an FCBA ring many times, but she's been boxing for a decade. Stewart's a newbie. I think Chriqui has a chance to beat her, and I wouldn't be surprised if she does."

O'Dell: "And as 'Helter Skelter' booms from the sound system, here comes the FCBA's biggest Beatles fan, K-Stew! And look at the six-pack on her, Mac! No doubt she's taking Chriqui seriously!"

McCarthy: "She's sitting next to the best body in the FCBA and she's admiring a girl who's built like a 13-year-old boy..."

O'Dell: "And round one underway. Kristen in that upright stance, stalking the older woman. Showing a nice jab. Looking to land off it. Chriqui closing up her own stance, cute stuff here. Looking to counter, show angles to the younger fighter."

McCarthy: "This is what I'm talking about, Jenny. Shoulder rolls, creep steps, nifty stuff looking to confuse Stewart, get her out of position, allow Emmanuelle to counter. This is a good game plan for Chriqui."

O'Dell: "Stewart having the better of it, though. Scoring up top with that jab, landing a hook here and there downstairs. That's the first and K-Stew wins it."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Back to action and Chriqui back to that nifty stuff, Mac. Countering off the shoulder roll, keeping K-Stew off balance showing angles. Stewart's punches being caught on gloves, bouncing harmlessly off shoulders."

McCarthy: "This is classic counter-puncher stuff. Wait for the other girl to commit, then let the hands go. Chriqui having success with both hands here. Landing upstairs and to the body. Keeping Stewart off balance."

O'Dell: "And that's the end of the second, and that was Chriqui's round."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Stewart back stalking here in the third, but, again, Chriqui nifty and shifty. Showing angles, countering beautifully. Stewart not showing any frustration, but she's not able to get anything going."

McCarthy: "Emmanuelle putting punches together nicely here. Good chain stuff. 'A' leads to 'B' and both score points."

O'Dell: "And Chriqui with a nice flurry there! That may have wobbled Stewart a bit! Kristen fires back, but Emmanuelle dodges, blocks, lands a few more. Stewart just a bit unsteady here as the third ends, another good round for Chriqui."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "And we start round four and Kristen CHARGES across the ring and she's right at Emmanuelle! Good hook to the head, nice follow up to the kidney..."

McCarthy: "Chriqui's hurt! That right cross after the hook to the kidney! I saw the knees buckle just a bit!"

O'Dell: "Stewart knows it! She's after the older woman. Emmanuelle in retreat here, legging away as Kristen stalks her. The older woman on the defensive, trying to ride this out. Stewart cutting off the ring. She's got Chriqui on the ropes. Letting loose with a volley of punches. Emmanuelle covering up...RIGHT HOOK! DOWN GOES CHRIQUI!"

McCarthy: "That's IT. This kid always folds up under pressure!"

O'Dell: "Not THIS time, Mac! Chriqui up at eight. Takes the count. Stewart back at her. Emmanuelle tying up. And there's the bell! Big round for K-Stew puts her back in the lead, but Chriqui wouldn't punk!"

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Chriqui more cautious as we begin the fifth stanza. Wary of K-Stew's power. Stewart pressing the attack here. Locating with that jab. Looking to throw rights off of it. Chriqui bobbing and slipping punches well."

McCarthy: "Emmanuelle is a pretty slick defensive fighter. She's got good hands, too. May be opening some eyes here tonight..."

O'Dell: "K-Stew continuing to hound her rival. Looking to put punches together here, but mostly being frustrated by good defensive efforts from Chriqui. End of the fifth. Stewart's round, but Emmanuelle's defensive efforts kept her in it after the knockdown."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Round six and we're seeing a little adjustment on the part of Stewart. She's going downstairs now. Staying away from the head. Working that body..."

McCarthy: "This is a pretty smart way to counter what Chriqui's been doing defensively. I've heard Kristen's one of the brighter women in the FCBA. Must have come up with this herself, because those two clueless wonders she's got in her corner don't know anything about boxing."

O'Dell: "No matter who came up with it, it's working. Stewart landing consistently to the flanks and the belly. Forcing Chriqui to cover up and clinch..."

McCarthy: "THAT one hurt her! Uppercut right under the ribcage!"

O'Dell: "Chriqui clinching here, hanging on as Stewart punches her way free. Kristen forcing Emmanuelle back to the ropes, really working the body as round six comes to an end."

McCarthy: "Time to check the replay of that uppercut. Watch Kristen land the left hook to the right kidney and then follows with the right uppercut under the ribcage on the left side. If she'd have had thirty more seconds, this one might be over, but Chriqui hung on."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Back to live action here, and Stewart on the hunt. May be looking to end this thing right now. Emmanuelle slick, though. Slipping punches, giving Stewart angles, working out of that closed stance..."

McCarthy: "Nice right hand there by Emmanuelle! Good counter! She's timing Stewart pretty well right now."

O'Dell: "Check hook by Chriqui! That got Kristen's attention! Stewart with a left...Chriqui with a hard right counter that rings up the younger girl, and K-Stew covers up. Stewart stung there, Mac."

McCarthy: "Sure was. Emmanuelle following up, bouncing punches off Stewart's gloves then going downstairs for a couple of hooks to the lats as the bell rings. Good round for Chriqui."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "Round eight starts like round four, with Kristen quickly across the ring after Emmanuelle. Chriqui giving ground, looking to counter. K-Stew back to that body, banging home hooks to the flanks with both hands. Chriqui not getting off much here as Stewart continues to chase. Kristen back to the body, working the kidneys...RIGHT HAND STEWART! DOWN GOES CHRIQUI!"

McCarthy: "Set that up with the body work. Got Emmanuelle along the ropes, brought her guard down and landed the right to the jaw."

O'Dell: "Chriqui up at seven. Takes the count. Stewart back at her, working to the body again..."

McCarthy: "Good maturity for a young kid. Not headhunting here, which is what a young fighter naturally wants to do when she's got her rival hurt."

O'Dell: "Stewart lands a good combination to the head there as the round comes to an end. Another good one for 'The Five-Tool Player'."

ROUND NINE:

O'Dell: "And Stewart is back at Chriqui here, driving her back to the ropes. Emmanuelle looking to counter from the pocket now as Kristen looks to end things. Nice left, Chriqui! Caught Stewart clean and got her attention!"

McCarthy: "Kristen needs to be careful here. She's in command on the scorecards. She's won five rounds and has the two knockdowns. She doesn't need the knockout to win."

O'Dell: "Stewart looking to split Chriqui's gloves with that left jab...RIGHT HOOK EMMANUELLE! That hurt Stewart! Chriqui follows up with a left/right as Stewart's now covering up. This is slick pocket stuff by Chriqui. Goes to the body now, then back upstairs as round nine comes to an end."

McCarthy: "Who knew this girl had it in her?"

ROUND TEN:

O'Dell: "Tenth and final underway and Stewart back at Emmanuelle. Chriqui firing back here. The two swapping leather in the center of the ring and Stewart slowly forcing Emmanuelle back. Stewart certainly responds when she's been hurt! Chriqui backed into the ropes, looking to counter, but Stewart smothering her with a steady body attack, hammering away at the ribs and kidneys as Emmanuelle covers up and tries to counter...AND CHRIQUI'S HURT!"

McCarthy: "Left/right combination did it, Jenny! Left hook to the right ear and then a right cross to the chin!"

O'Dell: "Stewart all in here trying to take her rival out. Pounding away with both hands. Emmanuelle doing just enough that the referee is letting this continue. Right hand Stewart! There's a hard left that snaps back Emmanuelle's head. Chriqui out on her feet here, but she won't go! There's the bell! This one is over."

McCarthy: "No doubt about the winner. Going to come back UD10 Kristen Stewart...but Chriqui showed everyone something tonight. She could have folded several times, but she just wouldn't go. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets some more fights out of this."

AFTER:

McCarthy: "No surprise in the decision as Stewart gets it 96-92. Let's go on up to the ring and Jenny O'Dell."

O'Dell: "I'm here with Kristen Stewart and Kristen, you said pre-fight you thought Emmanuelle would be tough tonight..."

Kristen: "I knew she'd give me everything she had. She needed to prove something tonight. And maybe she did. I needed to prove something, too, and I definitely did. I can handle a slick fighter like her. I can come back if I get hurt. I'm ready to take the next step. And I can't wait."
