Liu Wen vs. Ming Xi

Liu Wen: 30 years old, 5’10,” 0-3 since 2016, Free Agent

Ming Xi: 30 years old, 5’10,” 0-2 FCBA since 2017, 2-3 BBU since 2017 with 2 KO, Free Agent

Before:

The second match of tonight’s lightweight doubleheader is a match between two Chinese models who are looking to get their first FCBA win in front of a sold-out crowd in Shanghai, China. In addition, should Ming Xi win tonight, she will have defeated the other two of the “big three” Chinese models in Liu Wen and Sui He, who Ming dispatched last year in a BBU bout, and will be able to claim the title of top Chinese celebrity boxer.

In the press conference, Liu Wen and Ming Xi are openly hostile toward each other, and one has to wonder if there is something going on backstage at Victoria’s Secret. Liu Wen is the first to fire a shot, “All due respect to Ming, but she had her chance. She faced a winless Lindsay Ellingson in June and lost to the blonde in only her second match. Fates offered the winner of the fight a possibility of a contract and she choked. It’s now my turn.”

Ming retorts, “At least I actually have wins to my fighting resume, unlike you, Liu. Beyond that, nobody outside of China knows who you are. I’m known around the world.”

Wen laughs at Xi’s comment, “I tried to be nice, but I’ll take the gloves off. Two things. First, the only reason people know you around the globe is that you hit the deck in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in this country in 2017. You embarrassed all of us Chinese models, Ming, and that is why everyone knows you. Not because you are a good fighter, but because you were on the ground just like how you will be after this match. Second, stop clinging to hope. You’re nothing beyond that moment, Ming.”

Ming fires back, “At least Fates Boxing knows about me, and I’m going to prove to him that I have what it takes for the FCBA.”

Wen pauses, “The only reason he knows about you is that you modeled with Emily DiDonato, and we all know that Emily is the darling of Fates inside the ring for a record against easy opponents and is the darling outside the ring for her looks. You are neither, Ming.”

“YOU B*TCH!” Ming screams at Liu and charges her and security has to get involved as the two women curse each other out in Chinese.

Fight night: The announcer gets on the sound system. “And now, the event that you have been waiting for. Introducing first, at 30 years old and 5’10,” from Yongzhou, China, Liu Wen!”

The crowd cheers as she steps out wearing black lingerie and matching gloves, her hair tied up in a bun for the match. Liu waves to the crowd before making her way to the ring where she bounces around, waiting for the announcer to introduce her opponent.

“And her opponent. At 30 years old and 5’10,” hailing from Shanghai, China, - she is the Shanghai Stunner - Ming Xi!”

The crowd goes absolutely berserk as Ming emerges in tan lingerie with white gloves, her hair up in a ponytail for the fight. The crowd starts chanting, “Ming. Ming. Ming,” rooting for the hometown fighter. Ming struts to the ring, showing off her legs and gorgeous body before motioning towards Liu and the ref has to get between the two. After some hurried final instructions, the two women refuse to bump gloves and the ref simply calls for the bell.

Round 1:

Despite not having fought since 2017, Liu Wen hums along by starting out with her jab and working Ming Xi’s body early. Ming not happy and punches back at Liu, trading body blow for body blow. Wen starts tagging Xi in the head though, and Ming is forced to put up her guard, which isn’t that great as Liu starts hammering at it and breaks through on a couple of occasions, getting punches to Ming’s head, much to the Shanghai native’s displeasure. Ming turns to offense and drives a left into Liu’s body, forcing Wen to retreat. Liu takes a moment back and then closes distance to Ming and the two women start pounding each other’s bodies, trading lefts and rights and occasionally going for the other’s head as neither woman possesses a good guard, so the best defense is apparently a good offense. Eventually, the models change to targeting the other’s breasts at the bell AND THEY DON’T STOP. The referee has to step in between the two women and struggles to separate them as they curse out each other. The ref eventually gets the fighters separated and sends the two fighters to their corners as Liu takes the opening round, close.

Round 2:

Ming flies out of her corner to go after Liu and tags her body with a pair of punches that displease Wen. However, Liu slips out of Ming’s attacks and drives a left across Ming’s tits that draws a scowl out of the Shanghai native. Wen quickly pounces and plugs leather into Xi’s body, backing her up into the ropes. Ming hangs on and lands punches on Liu, but Wen keeps on pounding her until Xi decides that she absolutely has to clinch. The two models struggle to punch each other and the ref separates them only for them to go at it in the middle of the ring again. This time Liu Wen starts by sliding in rights and lefts past Ming Xi’s guard and gets all over her ribs and jugs and Ming barely lands anything in return. Wen dekes Xi with a left and fires a right uppercut that staggers Ming but does not drop her and Xi is on the retreat when the bell rings. Wen unquestionably wins this one wide.

Round 3:

Ming decided that she’s had enough from Liu and is like a shot out of a cannon to start the third. She charges at Wen, feints with her left and then clocks Liu with a right to the jaw. Wen is staggered but not down and she comes back with a left to Ming’s body, finding the soft tissue of the Shanghai native’s belly. Ming drops back and Liu follows her and the two exchange another series of blows, but Ming is steadily moving Liu backwards as the round progresses. Neither fighter seems to be able to land major shots on the other, but Ming seems to be making the smaller contacts count, working Liu over well. The bell rings to end a rather uneventful round, but Ming gets the round, close.

Round 4:

Wen and Xi both emerge quickly from their corners and they immediately start trading blows to start the fourth, but Ming gets ahead early after a straight rocks Liu backwards. Wen swings out wildly and Xi casually steps under the blow and lines up a left hook that rocks Liu Wen. Ming quickly drives a short right into Liu’s body and Liu is corralled into the ropes and on comes Ming Xi. Xi chops and hammers Wen and the model is forced to clinch so that she does not get knocked out by Ming’s offense. The referee separates the two models and they go back after it. Liu Wen gets a few shots on Ming’s body and face after the break, but Ming works her way back into control. Liu gets her guard up, but Ming starts to break it down with straights through the guard and then rib shots help expose Wen even more, but the bell rings before Ming can take advantage of breaking down Liu’s guard.

Round 5:

Ming Xi looks dominant as she starts running rings around Liu Wen, tagging her body with shots left and right as Wen is seemingly firing blanks as she can’t seem to find Ming with her punches. Xi closes the distance with Wen and buries leather into Liu’s body. Wen’s guard starts to break down again and Ming starts picking her shots to Wen’s head, rapping off chin shots like they are poker chips at the table. Liu lunges out with a desperation left, but Ming dodges out of the way and slings a left cross that swivels Wen’s head and then Ming swivels it right back with a nasty right hook and DOWN GOES WEN AND THE CROWD CHEERS! Liu twists as she thuds to the ground face-first and Ming rushes to a neutral corner. One. Two. Three. Wen’s legs are moving slightly as Xi looks on intently. Four. Five. Liu moves her arms down to her sides. Six. The crowd is counting with the ref now. Seven. Wen tries to raise herself up. Eight. Wen drops back to the canvas and her gumshield leaves her mouth as she collapses. Nine. Ten. Your winner by KO5, the Shanghai Stunner, Ming Xi!

After:

The crowd goes nuts as Ming gets her arm raised by the ref and a wide smile breaks out on her face. The crowd chants “MING MING MING” as the model gets up on the ringpost and poses, making sure to show off her fit body to the fans. Once Wen is brought around and sitting up, Xi turns around and pushes away Liu’s staff before standing over her fallen foe. Liu Wen looks up, sighs, then speaks, “Just because you have worked for Emily DiDonato that doesn’t mean that Fates will hire you, b*tch.”

Ming pushes Liu over and then stomps on her belly, sending the fallen Chinese model to the ground in pain. Xi then yanks off Liu’s top to the delight of the crowd and then throws Wen out of the ring. Xi then goes back to posing for the cameras, waving Liu’s top around as Wen scurries to the back, covering herself. Ming goes over to the announcer’s desk and grabs a microphone.

“Thank you, Shanghai, for believing in me and cheering during the match.” The crowd roars its approval. “I know that Rosie and Anne were a bit of a bore, so thank you for making it through their match and to ours.” The crowd laughs and Ming continues, “Hopefully there are more opportunities for me to make you proud in the future.” Ming sets down the microphone and gets a standing ovation as Ming Xi gets her first win in the FCBA.
