Intro:
The final of the New Blood lightweight tournament here in Los Angeles Staples Center, Wallis Day and Vita Sidorkina are looking to earn the trophy now.

Wallis is 24 years old; she stands 5'8 ½ and holds an unbeaten record of 2 win, both are by knockout.

Vita is 24 years old; she stands 5'8 and her record now is 1 win, that by knockout earlier tonight against Ela Kawalec.

Both women are interviewed by Lucy Liu for the FCBA Network in their locker room in the build up to this fight, the biggest of both young women's careers.

Wallis is limbering up with help from her coach Emily Blunt, both women smile as Lucy comes in with Wallis only getting a few marks to the face after her win earlier tonight.

The Brit is asked by Lucy her feelings going into the final, Wallis answers "it's well known I worked to get into the tournament, the winners of these tournaments have found stables, some have even won titles, so this is my time to prove myself to the world"

Emily tells Lucy "she is ready for this moment, born ready I'd say" with Lucy nodding as Emily politely tells her to leave so they can finish getting ready.

Meanwhile Vita is busy getting her hands tapped as Lucy comes into her locker room, her lip still looks a little fat from being busted open in her semi final bout.

She still smiles though as her and her coach Gisele Bundchen welcome Lucy in, with Lucy asking Vita what the tournament means to her.

"It is my chance to show I deserve respect straight away, I have been working hard for years competing in the modeling industry for years to become a top model, now I want to be the best lightweight in the world" says the stunning Russian.

Lucy turns to ask Gisele on her opinion of Vita's chances to beat Wallis, the Brazilian model replies "as I said in the build up about Vita; she has the skills to do big things in the FCBA, that starts tonight"

Fighting time; the trophy sits at the bottom of the aisle, waiting to add another name to past winners Kendall Jenner and Courtney Tailor.

First out comes Wallis first with Emily by her side, Wallis looks a little more nervous this time as she heads down the aisle, Emily telling her to relax as they pass the trophy.

She is wearing a blue sports bra, union jack pattern on her trunks, with red gloves and blue shoes, her blonde hair is short.

Stepping into the ring; Wallis bows to each side of the ring, then heads off to her corner to warm up, Emily continues to give her a pep talk.

Now out comes Vita with Gisele beside her, both stop near the trophy; Gisele points to it as she tells Vita "that will be yours" then head off to the ring.

She is wearing a red sports bra with white trim, matching trunks, red gloves with white thumbs, red shoes, while her hair is in a ponytail.

After she steps into the ring; Vita poses at the center of the ring with hands on her hips, before she heads off to her corner, shadow boxing to warm up.

Both fighters are waved to the center of the ring, as soon as they go there they are nose to nose, seeing that the others will is strong.

When told to touch gloves, they slam them together in a far from loving way, rushing back to their corners to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
Both women come out trading jabs to measure the other up to begin with, Wallis looks to target the lip of her opponent, knowing it's a bullseye for her to aim at.
That seems to be keeping Vita more on the defensive then she was in the first fight she had, Wallis able to keep her on the outside, where she looks most comfortable.
Though Vita does show glimpses of what got her through the semis, she whacks Wallis with several cross punches to the cheeks when the opportunity presents itself.
It is Wallis though working the harder of the two, claiming the center of the ring late in the round with two punches that have the bottom lip of the Russian bleeding again.
Vita is kept behind her guard for most of the round, blocking most of the punches but not landing much back in reply though.
So as the round ends it is Wallis looking to have relaxed the quicker of the two, Emily praising her for the great start.
In the other corner Gisele tells Vita to keep in close to Wallis, that way she can stop her opponent's accuracy that is stopping her doing much.
Round 2:
The early action sees both women looking pumped up as they exchange flurries of punches, before stepping back out to range.
Emily reminds Wallis to keep that range, with her fighter taking notice it seems as she doubles up on the jab to keep Vita on the outside.
That is till Vita times ducking under a straight aimed at her bloody lips, she steps inside the pocket to work, landing three body punches.
Wallis tries to get Vita away from her, the Russian though has listener keenly to her coach and is looking to keep in the face of her opponent, making it hard for her to pick out the busted lip.
It also seems to be making Wallis retreat back, the body punches are something she doesn't want to eat all this fight, with her able to create a gap with a stiff jab that knocks the head back of Sidorkina.
It's Vita though who is being the aggressor, more importantly she looks to be having more success as she has Wallis stuck near the ropes as the cleaner shots come from Vita herself.
The round ends to give Vita a smile, a much better second round for her as she sits down on her stool, Gisele working on the lip, looking happy herself with her prodigies work.
Round 3:
Both women come out strong agsjn like the last round, lashing shots between the mitts of the opponent as they look to judge distances.
Wallis retreating back more as Vita looks to stay in the pocket, the English fighter is countering more with cross punches drilling into the side of her opponents head.
That doesn't stop Vita having success when she times her attacks better, slipping under a right to land one of her own to the body.
With Vita forcing heated exchanges on the inside, till Wallis steps back with a double jab off the nose of Sidorkina to stop any charge from her.
Ending up with Wallis getting her range back, she keeps stinging the face of Vita with rangy punches, forcing her opponent to tighten that guard up and think more.
Gisele not looking too pleased as Wallis dances around her fighter, throwing more punches then Vita is right now.
The round ends with Wallis back on top again, though pundits at ringside are seeing that this could be a real back and force battle if Vita can do what Gisele wants her to.
The Day corner is looking happy enough though, Emily telling her to keep outboxing Vita with her foot speed allowing her to keep the range they want.
Round 4:
Again Wallis starts off sticking and moving, causing problems for Vita as that lip keeps getting tagged to make her wince.
But Vita is still timing her attacks well right now, slipping a straight punch to land an overhand left, that opens up Wallis to two stiff body punches.
As Wallis steps back; Vita is keeping close, forcing her opponent to cover up as she let's her hands go with combinations raining at the English lass.
Most find the gloves of Wallis, a left shoulder nudge though puts Wallis on the ropes, a lack of ring awareness there from the rookie as Vita goes to work on the inside.
The body of Wallis is starting to show red marks as Vita throws in more hooks, Wallis smartly clinches up to stop the assault, the referee needing to break the two up as they grind foreheads.
Once apart from Vita; Wallis is looking happy as she works at range, this time more successful at keeping an over keen Vita back with her punches landing cleanly on the top of the head.
The bell rings with Vita looking more dominant, Gisele washes her down while telling her "keep this workout up babe, those body shots will pay off"
Across the ring Emily is applying some ice to the body of Wallis, urging her to make sure she doesn't let Vita on the inside, with Wallis replying that she knows that, maybe a little frustration showing from the youngster.
Round 5:
Wallis looks to reestablish the range she is comfortable at early in the round, slinging jabs and straights towards the head of her opponent.
Who is keeping her guard tight at the moment, patiently waiting for her chance to strike as she takes most of the punches coming on her gloves.
Then she slides under a straight to land an uppercut, TWO MORE PUNCHES CRASH INTO THE SIDES OF WALLIS'S FACE TO SEND HER DOWN TO HER BACK!
Vita pumps her right fist in the air as she heads to a neutral corner, 1...2...3.. Wallis looks up at the lights, 4...5...6.. Then begins stirring as she turns to her front, 7...8... Getting up to beat the count with a shake of her head.
They are told to continue, Vita racing up the middle to strike Wallis with a straight that knocks sweat from her head, while starting to drive her to the ropes.
When Wallis pulls Vita into a clinch, the momentum of Vita nearly causes them to crash through the ropes, as the referee rushes to separate them.
The English fighter probably hoped for more time to recover as they resume, Vita staying in close with body shots raining in, hoping to open up Wallis for another uppercut.
But when she loads up on one; Wallis pulls her into a clinch to stop it, Gisele urges Vita to break free to end this but the referee is the one to do it.
The round ends with Wallis looking relieved to get a moment to clear her head, Emily not happy with her being caught like that, but is busy fixing up Day to really yell at her.
Across the ring Gisele tells Vita to end this next round, don't look a gift horse in the mouth is the phrase she uses as Vita bangs her gloves together.
Round 6:
Vita comes looking for the knockout straight away, pressing Wallis around the ring as the English fighter can only really fight with single punches right now due to being stuck on the defensive.
Getting inside to land several body shots that make Wallis gasp out, Vita ends up getting her head pushed down into a front headlock, the referee splits them up; warning Wallis about the grappling.
Vita looks to keep in Wallis's face as they continue, but Wallis catches her out with counter punches after sidestepping Sidorkina.
Emily looks a little more relaxed as a left slams across the bloody lips of Vita, with a straight to the top of her head knocking her back out to range.
Where she looks annoyed; Wallis is keeping Vita from getting in tight, controlling the range again as she looks to be recovered judging by her growing into the round.
Though Vita is still managing to cause her a few issues, like when she gets to midrange, she lands a straight to the body, then an overhand left that looks to have put a mouse under the right eye of Day.
But as the round rings, it is a much more even affair then Gisele clearly expected, she tells Vita to be more aware the next round for the counter.
Across the ring Emily looks more relaxed, though she has to work on the swelling forming under Wallis's eye, Wallis stares over at Vita as their eyes lock before the bell.
Round 7:
The action is a little slower to get started as Vita continues to look to rent space on the inside again, she is getting caught though by single shots to the top of her head.
Finally she ducks under one so she can move in closer, a right clips off the forearm of Wallis, the left lands straight into the face of the English lass.
Both let their hands go as Wallis stands her ground, the crowd roar for these two warriors, they each score some good clean power shots that knock the other back.
But they each keep coming back for more, Vita looks to win the exchanges though as she lands two punches under the ribs of her opponent, making her hiss out while retreating back.
Vita starts to drive Wallis backwards, till she gets clinched up by her rival for the trophy, both women take a moment to rest on the other, the referee steps in to separate them.
As the action resumes Vita looks to continue being the aggressor, trying to cut the ring off, SHE THINKS SHE HAS AS SHE STEPS FORWARDS, ONLY TO BE MET BY WALLIS STEPPING FORWARDS WITH A STRAIGHT THAT ROCKS VITA'S HEAD BACK, THE LEFT HOOK LANDS ON THE BUTTON IT SEEMS AS VITA'S GUMSHIELD COMES OUT AS SHE CRUMBLES TO THE CANVAS!
Wallis steps past her looking over at Emily, who is jumping for joy at ringside, 1...2..3...4..5... Vita slightly stirs, 6...7...8.. But not that much as Gisele is screaming for her to get up, 9...10 but it is all over!

Winner Wallis Day KO Round 7

After:
A stunning knockout gives Wallis the New Blood title, she falls to her knees with tears running down her marked up face, this was the goal she set out to achieve last year, well she just got it!

While Gisele with the ringside doctor rush in to check on Vita, who needs smelling salts to help her wake up, she holds her jaw as she is helped up sit up, admitting that she didn't see the hook but definitely felt it.

Vita needs help to get back over to her stool, where she can be cleaned up as blood from her lip has dropped onto her bust.

The winner comes over to her to tell her "good fight babe" before they exchange a touch of gloves in a sign of respect as the crowd applauds the two youngsters for a highly spirited affair.

After getting her gloves taken off; Vita is helped out the ring to the back so more tests can be run on her after that brutal knockout she suffered.

Meanwhile inside the ring Melanie Sykes and the head of the FCBA committee enter the ring, Melanie holds the tiara as Wallis stands in the center of the ring, happily getting it placed on her head, Mel congratulating her fellow English gal on her success.

While the committee member hands Wallis the trophy, she sheds tears as she holds up the gold trophy to the heavens, the crowd cheer her as a future star may very well have been made tonight.

Emily rushes to hug Wallis; who puts the trophy down so they can embrace, both are crying as Emily tells Wallis how proud she is of her.

After the tears are wiped away; Wallis holds the trophy against her bust as photographers stand on the apron to capture this moment, she stands proudly as if this were here destiny.

Then her and Emily leave the ring together, with the next stage of Wallis's career being an important one, can she get management off this tournament? The bigger one for her will be can she become a lightweight champion?
