BEFORE: "I don't necessarily like her attitude," admits Kelly Carlson's promoter Jenny O'Dell. "But this girl has been tearing it up on apartment carpets and deserves a push in the boxing ring as well. Is she the 'hottest blonde in boxing' as she says? I mean, you guys can judge that for yourself. But I think of her as a stronger, sturdier Sarah Carter who can compete in two weight classes. I can't afford to ignore potential like that."

Veteran Lexa Doig brought in by JOD to push her starlet: Lexa given the green light to take Kelly out if possible. "About 2 minutes of listening to Kelly run her mouth the other day was enough to convince me that she needs to be knocked out," smirks deadly Lex. "If I had a dime for every bimbo who thought she was the 'hottest blonde in boxing' - I wouldn't need to fight! Kelly's getting wiped out. Remember: when she's been lying on her back for a few minutes, turn her over - wouldn't want her to burn!"

During R1: Kelly tarting Lexa up: blonde minx showing her quicks, legs, precision early. Doig fronting on Kelly, presenting a sturdy dukes-up front, keeping elbows in: Lexa stepping into position, but getting pre-empted by her quick-mitted foe. Off the front (left) leg, Kelly's bouncing doubled-up hooks off Lexa's ribs CHUP! CHUP! Roaming to either side, Kelly's spitting jabs, chipping away at Lexa's defences up top. Stopping and popping, Kelly's dropping swift, straight, ratatat combos up the middle: Lexa straining to keep her guard in place as blonde puts 'em together classy. Shutout Kelly: she flashes Lexa a searing "I'm just getting started" glare as girls separate.

R2: Lexa a bit more constructive - seeking Kelly out with jabs - trying to counter-pounce with combinations after Kelly's finished getting off. Carlson still dictating - sidestepping brisk - working up and down. Of special note: Kelly getting good, tart spank off those hooks to Lexa's tight little body CHUP! CHUP!

R3: Lexa looking a little concerned: she's getting beaten to punches, picked apart a little here...supple little brunette not used to being out-quicked. Kelly nimble about her brunette...eyes bright, legs springy, punching quick-n'-nifty. Wonderful pattern-punching combos from Kelly: swift, straight rights and lefts up the middle; hooks body and head; sudden lead right hands, followed by clean up hooks. Most of Kelly's work flows off the front leg as she leans forward - but she's capable of easing weight to right leg for left hooks/right uppercuts from that posture. Lexa getting touched up in the exchanges - she's back to her corner a confused beauty.

R4: Lexa commits on the jab - up pretty on her left leg as she finds Kelly's face at last. Blonde poked off her stance: Doig hopping-to with wide, buggy-whip right hands lashed to haughty Carlson ribs. Kelly pursued, hounded: grimacing, she's forced to trade in furious spots toe-to-toe, generally scoured out of her positions. Lexa hopping Kelly down, bringing the fight to her: crowd getting into it as output of both women starts to rise. Bell: Kelly with a cheap hook to Lexa's tits late; Doig right back with a snarl and punches, bringing the ref in.

R5: Kelly changes tack - edging in with left shoulder to Lexa's chest, looking to mix it up inside. Pretty classy stuff at close quarters: Kelly snug to Lexa, touching her hooks...blonde snatching at firm brunette paunch; twitching hooks across perky brunette jugs; clipping little left uppercuts to chin. Doig showing earmuff, leaning in against Kelly's left shoulder: brunette answering back with clubbing, short shots, trying to make Kelly pay. Carlson very impressive here: this is Lexa's fight, but Kelly's playing bump-and-slug, keying off her shoulder, moving her head, nudging and turning Lexa around on the spot. Doig touched-up, looking a little disheveled despite landing tasty clout to Kelly head and shoulders.

R6: Lexa throwing caution to the sea-breeze - hacking repeat right hands at Kelly's head, stampeding her to ropes. Surprise all-out assault breaks through Kelly's guard: she takes hard blows to cheek and chin, knees spasming. Kelly rocked at ropes, but savvy enough to clinch: she's grimacing, left cheek against Lexa's left shoulder as girls squirm before break. Second minute, Kelly in steady retreat under Lexa's free-swinging pressure: blonde finally picks a spot to set, timing Doig for a short, intercepting right hand to chin. Lexa clipped-clean - head swivelling as right hand sails: SHE'S suddenly woozy, stepping in fence post holes. Blonde snarling, letting her hands go: Lexa shredded, punched about her face and chest as Kelly forces Doig to ropes. Lexa slumping, hands crossed at her forehead as she's drooping forward. Kelly DIGGING hooks to Lexa's belly - brutal, tucking punches all snug and pumping. Kelly easing weight to her right leg, arching her back to clip short right uppercuts to Lexa's overhanging face. Doig helpless, just stooping over, taking punches and THE REF STEPS IN! Kelly bleats in triumph, skipping away the TKO6 victrix.

After: Lexa bloodied to the nose, blinking woozy: one moment, she has the blonde ready to go, the next - it's over. "I'm the best fighter from 115 pounds on down," Kelly boasts in postfight - even O'Dell rolling her eyes in the background. "A pound of me equals a pound and-a-half of anyone else. People forget - I gave Carmella Decesare the worst beatings of her career! Kelly Monaco and Shannen Doherty cower when I'm in the room. I'm tuff - I'm fast - and I'm the hottest thing on the beach.
