Before: Weeks after her humiliating dismissal at the hands if Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey calls out another tough Latina in Daisy Fuentes. Fuentes, a no-nonsense barrio banger gives up nothing to Carey, and this promises to be one of the premiere fights so far this year. Carey wears red jogbra, black spandex shorts against Fuentes in yellow bikini and black spandex shorts.

During R1: Both girls put it all on the line early as they step to one another and begin lobbing haymakers at center ring. Carey shakes off a series of smart Fuentes left hooks to slug the blonde to the ropes with bludgeoning rights to the chest. Fuentes doesn’t know the word clinch, and gets tagged repeatedly trying to slug her way off the ropes. In the final minute, Mariah rocks Fuentes with a left right across the chin, and Daisy’s legs buckle. Mariah bodies up and talks smack after the bell as a pouting Daisy sort of stares back in a daze.

R2: Mariah can’t wait to get back ON TOP OF Daisy, and she flings a series of home run right hands which Fuentes obligingly accepts on her chin without receipt. Fuentes fighting off the ropes again is largely ineffective—only her fighting spirit prevents her from being knocked cold, but she soaks up horrible punishment over these three minutes. Carey taking out all her frustrations, uses her forearm and shoulder to keep Fuentes off balance, and the right hands are starting to mar Fuentes’ beautiful features.

R3: Daisy comes back strong this round, putting her cheek on Mariah’s shoulder and going to the singer’s body with both hands. Carey shuts down and can’t hold off, and Fuentes walks her slowly around the ring as she slugs intermittently. By the final minute, both women are tiring, and Daisy controls Mariah with her hands on Carey’s hips, holding the body in front of her with the left while stuffing short rights into the brunette’s stomach. Carey wanders back to her corner with a bitchy look of her on her shiny face.

R4: The two women stagger out on rubbery legs, each having sustained incredible damage to this point. Fuentes takes control, lifting a right hand from her hip into Mariah’s face, then following with a similar looking left. Carey’s mitts are low, and she paws back with a tired looking left, Fuentes continues to step into pounding single shots from outside, and Mariah seems helpless to stop her. Carey’s form begins to abandon her as she walks into repeated bug shots, and Fuentes goes back to the waltz look, holding Carey by her hips in between punches. Holding Mariah’s waist with her left, Fuentes jerks brutal right hands into the pit of the singer’s belly, and Mariah wants no more of it. She sinks to her knees with tears in her eyes, as Daisy Fuentes staggers away. Bruising KO for Fuentes in 4.

After: These two beautiful women absolutely shelled one another in this fight, clubbing each other to the brink of unconsciousness and back before Carey finally gave it up. Very little to choose between these girls—Fuentes just wanted it that much more in a toe to toe, no frills slugfest.
