Before: Krakowski the blonde rite of passage for up and coming Larue, importance of the test not lost on Eva: “I expect a tough 10 rounds from Jane. I’m just going to discourage her, show her my class. I have to resist the temptation to dominate her inside—not because I can’t, but because that’s the only chance she has. If I fight smart, Jane’s going to be overmatched.” Krakowski studying tape of the Giselle Fernandez fight sees plenty she can work with—Jane not entering this fight with a journeywoman’s mentality. During R1: Jane pouncing, gets on top and drives Larue ropeside with some thudding short right hands between the breasts, Jane poking her head up between Eva’s high guard, busies herself downstairs, going body with lefts and rights—Larue trusting her tummy to take the abuse while she maintains the high defence. Hopping in with that Trinidad left, Larue bats Jane to the ropes with hooks to the jaw, breaking Krakowski down badly and leaving her helpless. Eva squaring up, lets her hands go, snapping lefts and rights into Jane’s available head—Eva jerking the fists back to her chest on follow through so she’s always set to punch—AND KRAKOWSKI GOES OUT! Jane busted up, hands falling to her lap, head lolling forward as she sits on the middle strand—ref pushes the berserk brunette away and cradles the blonde before Krakowski can hit the deck. Stunning KO1 Eva Larue.

After: Larue displaying shattering power in combination, simply blew Jane K away in a fight that leaves pundits and fans in shock. Krakowski normally very durable, simply couldn’t take the withering barrage and Eva’s stock is sent soarinjg. Larue becoming comfortable with prime time exposure, starting to show the ability that made her such a formidable daytime presence throughout the 90s.
