Before: Some criticism of Delany for looting the same graveyard she found Becky Demornay in to come up with Sheridan - a dangerous blonde name from the past who hasn't had a fight in years seems perfect for the task at hand. Dana unrepentant, admitting Sheridan's just a tune-up at this point, but that the continued exposure is necessary from a business standpoint. Delany also catching some heat from BLONDE! magazine who haven't missed the auburn haired beauty's appetite for the fair-haired in recent outings. Nicky solid as ever on the scales - she's in shape, she's always had pop, remains to be seen what she's got left after years of inactivity. Nicolette in cream Dr. No style bikini, ponytail, Dana in navy velvet bra and panties, wearing an outrageous diamond necklace for ring instructions, removed for the fight.

During R1: Odd exchange midring - girls standing straight, chests out, trading whistling punches thick to the gut as Delany takes it right at the once feared blonde. Sheridan confused, expected a trickier red head and Double D backs her up under a steady, almost crude assault to the midriff until blonde butt touches ropes. Dana hunkering in close then, putting her head on Nicolette's shoulder, using her legs to drive the blonde into the strands, pushing on the blonde's biceps to open up the body and digging in selected punches to the waistline before laying in to smother the receipt. Shutout Delany - she leaves Nicolette smarting on the ropes at the bell.

R2: Delany committed to the body in this fight, dipping side to side under Sheridan's lefts and rights, coming up with fishhook digs into the firm gut - Sheridan looking pale, backing up, and once again banged to the ropes with red-headed authority. Delany in a wide stance, pure puncher as she keeps her fists tight to her body, leans side to side to rip away at Nicolette's rib cage with biting, spanking shots and SHERIDAN TAKES A KNEE! Badly hurt, mouthbreathing, Nicky takes 8, gets up and covers as Delany stomps away to the bell. Back to back shutouts from Double D as she's got Nicolette hurt to the body.

R3: Rampage continues - Sheridan off her stool still wincing, Delany back on that tight midriff with uncharacteristically brutal, snapping hooks and rising right hands. Nicky's back to the ropes once again - Delany squared up big, palming her right hand on Nicolette to set the sharp hook on the ribs, hook on the jaw combinations. Midway through, Sheridan suffering badly sinks to all fours from the methodical, but non-stop punching to take her second 8. Delany bulling back in, chesting her blonde to a seat at the ropes, palming with the right hand, and going about the task of putting brick to rib with a hard glint in dark eyes. Sheridan grimacing, clutching her right side at the bell - she refuses her corner's suggestion to submit, but this is a career-ending type beating she's taking.

R4: Sheridan finally with some offense, trying to get her fabulous legs into the battle with stick and move early. Delany walks her down, but instead of pressing to the body, doubles up on her own jab and starts falling in on Nicolette's square jaw with crashing right hands. Sheridan's D falls apart as she gets tagged repeatedly - Delany bending in and down, then stepping out at angles as Sheridan starts to reel on the spot after taking hits. Down the stretch, Double D slaps a hook across Nicky's chin, bends into the curling overhand right, misses the follow up hook as Sheridan's already on the way down. Nicky on her backside, all messed up, stares blankly up as the bell saves her from KO.

R5: Delany back inside with that curious straight up, chest and chin out style, just plugging lefts and rights hard into Nicollette's weeping breadbasket. Dana beating Nicky around the ring, but midway through, Sheridan steps back, walks Delany into a gorgeous counter hook and DANA GOES DOWN! Delany stumbling to all fours as Sheridan sidesteps - Nicollette's harsh expression shows no mercy as Dana gets woozily to her feet. All Sheridan to the bell as she muscles Delany to the ropes and issues stern two fisted payback, shoving and slugging with some form of old as Double D has to cover and soak.

R6: Delany on her toes now, not anxious to taste any more Sheridan power, she circles and sticks, making the blonde turn and chase. Damage done to Nicky's legs is apparent - all that body work has made her flat footed and a step slower than she needs to be - Delany easily luring blonde forward, picking her up, and pivoting away this round.

R7: Boxing look continues - Sheridan scoring early with some straight right hands to the center of Dana's chest, but the redhead re-establishes her jab with numbing effect to blonde face. Double starts to set down on punches, jabbing up top, drilling straight rights into the body, then shifting to her back foot as she pulls the calling card hook into that prominent blonde jaw. Sheridan starting to swoon again, not punching back, defense limp and ineffective as Delany's crisp combinations and angles start to dismantle the opposition. Final minute: Girls trade rights, trade lefts and Sheridan's legs buckle as she gets beaten to both punches, Delany with a step to her right, dives in over Nicolette's shoulder with a crashing right cross, follows through with her shoulder into Sheridan's stomach to tilt the blonde onto her back with a crash. Sheridan awake, but can't get off her back, brutal KO7 Dana Delany.

After: Delany not a big puncher, but total commitment to power threw Sheridan off and broke her down badly, stopping her on the 4th trip to the canvas. Risky strategy saw Delany hurt badly in the fifth - only she knows how close she came to being stopped. Rousing performance exactly what DD was hoping for - when you fight a stiff, you want to look sensational, and this was certainly one of Dana's more electrifying performances. Sheridan still double tough and brick-fisted - more work could see her return to form, although she paid a fearful toll tonight in not quitting earlier.
