Before: Cordial atmosphere between the fighters. Amy Jo saying all the right things—Danes apparently happy just to be here. Not much known about the willowy blonde—word from the gyms is she’s a cutey, not much pop, but has the basics down—Johnson just going to have to feel her way through early. Amy Jo in purple and black diving bikini, Danes in teal camisol over navy bikini bottoms.

R1: Amy Jo setting the pace, cautiously jabbing with the taller Danes, then dipping in low to bounce firm left/rights off the blonde’s tight midriff, Claire not mixing it up, poking the jab, stepping away rather than trading—Johnson the more effective aggressor.

R2-5:  Johnson just a bit better in close, methodical rounds that see both girls execute cautious fight plans. Amy Jo able to jab her way in, gets off 2 and 3 spanking shits to the waist before Danes can leg out. Danes best punch is her jab, but she’s pushing it occasionally, leaving it out there for sharp right hand counters from Johnson. Danes stung in the fourth off a hard Johnson left hook on the teeth, but otherwise it’s Amy Jo carrying Claire, taking no risks, moving her head well underneath Danes’ sluggish right hand.

R6: Johnson hook starting to land with authority—Danes breaking down, getting a little rattled—Amy Jo walking her down and working from the midsection to the head as Claire’s defense starts to wilt. Midway through, Amu Jo ripping the double hook downstairs, comes upstairs as both girls launch hooks and DOWN GOES DANES! And she’s not getting up! Claire on one knee, just can’t beat the count and DOWN GOES DANES! And she’s not getting up! Claire on one knee, just can’t beast the count and Amy JJ struts happily with the KO6.

After: Solid workmanlike effort from Johnson, breaking her girl down, easily avoiding Danes’ few power shots and checking Claire out when the blonde was clearly flagging.
