Before: “She looks great for her age,” Claire admits in prefight, but grinning as she says it. “I’m not going to carry Eva guys, if that’s what you’re thinking. I’m in with a smaller woman, an older woman, and I’m gonna take it to her. Eva’s scrappy, but she has no business in being with a Claire Danes, and I’m going to make a statement on her.” Longoria bristling at the idea of being anyone’s public statement—Latina temper showing at the mic. “I’m happy to give up a few pounds to get girls like Claire in the ting.” Eva says. “If Danes WASN’T bigger than me, she’d never dare take this fight—so far as I’m concerned, it’s more of an equalizer than an advantage. Deep down, Claire’s a chickenshit—and I’m going to expose that.”

During R1: Eva batting hooks straight arm against Claire’s flank: Danes absorbing’em. Hooking back at Eva’s head and dropping right hands. Spirited play--Claire not using much defence, going right at Longoria as promised. Longoria eventually coaxed into circling retreat—moving to her left, gloves collected at her mouth, shoulders hunched. Danes walking Eva down with elbows in, hands up and relaxed: Claire forming a blocking guard around her head, leaving her body available. Longoria able to paint away to waist and flank—pelting Claire’s guard up top as blonde walks forward, but gets outworked for points.

R2: Same again—Danes relaxed, stepping forward—covering up to block—looking to counter off the black rather than slipping to counter. Longoria still getting off loose and heavy—nothing’s landing up top, but those little mitts are digging and gouging at Claire’s strong tummy/sturdy ribs. Claire keeping her punches short with the elbows-in delivery—dropping or swatting shots on Eva, scoring up the middle, Blonde right hands in particular scoring well: Claire frequently leading the right, catching Eva’s forehead.

R3,4: Eva jabbing into Claire’s guard, then lashing blonde midsection with juicy licks: Eva getting good spank downstairs, slender limbs delivering with supple elasticity. Danes the more sudden, unpredictable puncher—working up the middle, scoring to Eva’s beautiful face. Claire dipping her left shoulder to lick snatching hooks to Eva’s midsection: Danes getting good snap on the shots, setting down nicely and moving her brunette. rounds about even—Claire coming forward, but Longoria generally initiating the exchanges. Through 4 however,, Eva’s looking the worse for wear as a result of the constant trading.

R5: Claire upping the tempo slightly—doubling up on lead rights, punching back Eva’s head, then stepping into her with hooks as Longoria’s backpedalling. Claire also doubling up on her hook to the body—lingering just long enough to get the extra touch before stepping out behind the raised guard. Longoria still combative—baring her  teeth and slamming back—but her punches are slower, easier to read as Claire’s punishment’s really adding up. Down the stretch, Claire slips in under a Longoria right; hooks the body; hooks the chin: Eva staggers back wide-eyed on he heels as Claire brightens.

R6: Chopping right hand takes Eva hard to jaw: Claire bending in close on follow through, head chest-level on Eva. Longoria tries the right uppercut: Claire says back from it, slipping it, then twists torso-left and ducking forward to slip under Eva’s sweeping hook. Claire steps right, jabbing Eva in her right hip, then leans into an exquisite diamond cutting right hand as Eva’s turning to swing her around. Head-swivel Eva Longoria—right hand sails as she corkscrews down, sprawling prettily to her back. Claire smiling, kissing her right hand as she struts past: Eva badly rocked, lying there mumbling, eyelashes fluttering as head lolls gently side to side, That’s it—Eva can’t get off her back—it’s KO6 Claire Danes.

After: Precision placement and timing on Claire’s right hand gives her one of the most picturesque KO’s of her career—and she’s beaming in postfight. Wolfpack congregated in HISCU corner, hugging Claire and milling around—‘pack clearly reluctant to move on Longoria with concerned HMK fighter collected around the dazed beauty, ready to rumble if need be.
