Before: Informal eliminator for a date with Liu pits former bantam Wuhrer against the one-shot power of Hatcher, First real test for Wuhrer at this weight--Teri has the punch and classier technique--Wuhrer sturdier on her legs, much more durable and a more consistent worker. Teri in snug red sports bra and aerobics bottoms, curly bobbed hair--Kari in black sports bra, black nylon jogging trunks, shoulder length mahogany curls.

During R1: Hatcher carrying her left at her hi. Lifts the jab up into Kari’s guard, stepping around poised for right crosses--Wuhrer with the high defense, pivoting smartly, staying square to the target. Hatcher methodical early, dropping the right hand to spank loudly across Kari’s abs. then occupying the brunette high with the jab--Kari unable to answer and as her hands start to droop--Teri scorches her chin with the slinging right hand and Wuhrer’s legs rubber up. Wuhrer reaching past Teri’s shoulders, Hatcher stepping back in good order, arms pumping back and forth with a loose, jangly rhythm into Kari’s bra until Wuhrer slums to all fours. Teri whopping it up early, twirling her right hand as Kari takes 8, Hatcher wades in to finish, but Wuhrer’s not done. Vicious spanking exchange at the ropes as Kari holds her ground, starts to back Teri up as the girls trade brawling lefts and rights and TERI’S LEGS LOCK! Now it’s Hatcher hurt as Wuhrer comes forward, paying the dancer back to the body with short lefts and rights to the waist--at the bell, Teri takes the points, Kari finishes the stronger girl.

R2: Teri wary at midring, lifting that backhand jab off her hip, Wuhrer going right at her foe, licking to the slender body as Hatcher gives ground. All Kari in the first minute, staying on her girl, punishing the body with deliberate intent as Hatcher visibly breaks down. Final minute, Teri slings a clouting right hand on the ear, jerking  Kari to the ropes and Hatcher drops that right foot back to crack whip armed hooks, push off into cracking right hands--WUHRER’S HURT! Kari busting up, looks stunned as she covers up, getting shredded at the bell. both girls shaken at the break, vibrating on their stools from the punishment taken.

R3: Hatcher selling out to get Kari in trouble, steps to the right, stuffs a measuring left into Kari’s bra and leans in over Wuhrer’s a wreck, beating the count but reeling, hands at her hips as she stares hollow-eyed at her opponent. Teri staggers forward, reaching with the left to steady Kari for more right hands and a bitter desperate brawling breaks out again as Kari braces her feet wide, slinging blindly left to right while Hatcher leans into hard right hands to the chin. DOWN GOES HATCHER! Teri wobbling to all fours, mouth wide open in shock as she struggles to avoid the stoppage. She’s up, but ruined, leaning helplessly against the ropes with a blank expression. On comes Wuhrer, palming Teri’s shoulders back and going to work, lefts and rights, scrubbing gut, clouting jugs, then heaving Teri back with a shoulder or forearms. Hatcher not built to take it, goes out on her feet, reaching dreamily for Kari, who steps back, digging hard to the body and folding Teri face first to the canvas. Grueling KO#3 Kari Wuhrer.

After: brutal slugfest a crowd pleaser to be sure, setting Wuhrer up nicely for a showdown with Liu, Kari able to soak up some hard shots from Teri--move down in weight probably the difference between getting hurt and being stopped by Hatcher, Disheartening loss for Teri, relegates her to gatekeeper for the time being, while Kari continues to look solid against sub 110 opponents.
