BEFORE: Fighting Ingenue hailing Dobrev/Cassidy as one of it's top fights of 2010 - both girls are inclined to agree. "I wanted to get right back in with a top girl after Michalka," competitive Nina says after sub-par outing against "it" girl of the moment, Aly M. "No sulking or moping for me: only fighting!" Cassidy equally eager - starlet with plenty of career momentum these days, looking to equal or better Michalka's achievement on Dobrev. "Young hollywood is really sorting itself out these days," Katie says at podium. "Nina got out of the blocks hot, but she's cooling down. After I give her a good dousing, she'll be well back of the front runners." Intriguing side-note: Cassidy originally scheduled to fight Candice Accola, but Nina D snaked the bout, apparently telling co-star Accola: "I need to get back on track. Besides - she'll be easier for you once I've had her." No word on Accola's real reaction, although her public front is solidly pro-Dobrev.

Nina in two-toned blue bikini; long, loose beach hair; small powder blue gloves. Katie in black lace push up/tie-side black bikini bottoms; small black gloves; brassy blonde hair tied back off her brows/long down her back.

During R1: Both girls double-pumping jabs early - startling each other with face-spank. Katie migrates to Nina's breadbasket right/left/right: Dobrev answering with a right uppercut, then two swinging rights in Katie's left flank PAK! PAK! Rigid, slender-limbed back and forth - girls snarling prettily, gasping when smote - hunting bodies and faces with equal vigor. Frothy batting back and forth tattoos either torso at the bell - Cassidy driving Dobrev back in the frisky exchange.

R2: Nina cleanly outboxes Katie: Cassidy frowning as she's turned, touched up, outworked. Dobrev doubling the jab to Katie's face - startling her: then hooking the body rigid - pivoting left thereafter. Nina employing an innovative slap-chop type right hand against Katie's torso - brunette leaning in and stroking it down the length of ribcage in the front: it's a loud, heavy strike that has Cassidy backing up in wonder.

R3: Girls exchanging rigid/lanky midring: Dobrev's hook clips palm-down across Katie's chin, loosening up her knees. Ditressed blonde steps away: Nina walks her down all ho-ho-ho, I'm big - swinging robust straight-arm left/rights tic-toc against slender blonde flanks. Cassidy uses her legs, gets herself together - she actually outmaneuvers/outboxes Nina the rest of the way. Not enough to win the round, but it's good Cassidy recovery minutes nonetheless.

R4: Katie spruces up Nina's face via doubled-up jab - plowing righty into jug when Dobrev straightens up in alarm. Nina hooking back rangy - slender limb carving across palm-down: Katie leaning away on her right leg to slip - then launching herself forward with lathering rights and lefts. Busy, frisky Cassidy touches Nina up all around the ring: blonde girl flashes dimples, chirps, "Yes!" at the bell. Nina? Frowning.

R5: Girls trading straight rights/wide, clapping hooks...Dobrev rocks Katie in the toe-to-toe. Nina leaning in, driving straight-righty into Katie's breadbasket: blonde girl groaning, body-smote to ropes. Nina steps-to, squares away: she rides her guard on Katie to prop, then lathers away strong left hooks, punctuated by straight right hands. Katie beaten to her left along ropes, visiting two corners before rallying: blonde girl snarling, chugging slender-limbed right/lefts to offending brunette tummy, then slugging randomly up top. Dobrev backs off rather than slug willy-nilly: Nina's round, but feisty Katie proving tough to close out when hurt.

R6: Katie leans away from Dobrev's jab/leans back in with a slicing right to chin: Nina's hurt! Dobrev stepping in fence-post holes, showing face-in-gloves: vengeful blonde girl tans the flanks - straight arms shivering as small gloves bounce off tight chassis. Nina stumbling around, going where Katie beats her: bell to bell punishment has Dobrev sniveling on her stool for break.

R7: Step-and-poke round of meanspirited jabbing - girls targeting offending faces for punishment. Clockwise rotation as small gloves PIK! and PAK! off shiny cheeks, delicate brows: like a couple of crows pecking at each other. Leggy, wide stances - right (back) heels up off canvas - both girls adept at shifting in and out in-stance. Cassidy eventually separating herself - her jab roaming at will to face/breasts/tummy. Dobrev frowning, cranky, scuffed at bell - pouting as Katie gives her a haughty look of blonde supremacy.

R8: Another hard fought, close round of boxing. Nina able to hook of her jab, getting after Katie a bit: Cassidy stepping out, walking around to regroup after being raked Nina's hook. Stepping into Katie, Nina able to deploy that weird, slap-chopping right down the front of Katie's torso: clapping whacks drive Cassidy off, putting a frown on pretty blonde face.

R9: Katie outboxes Nina as girls continue to circle/compete from outside. Cassidy's jab really busting up Nina's left eye: Katie pursing her lips, narrowing her eyes when she lands stiff to her rival's face. Cassidy content to touch Nina up the stick, but deploying the odd right hand in straight drives down into tummy - or carving it palm-down in behind Nina's left elbow whenever brunette shows earmuff. Cassidy able to jab while moving forward or back - tough for Nina to retake initiative at any point.

R10: Girls crouch, sweep in sidearm rights to hips...straighten up into shivering palm-down hooks and KATIE SITS DOWN! Cassidy scooting to her glutes, sitting up all startled and open-mouthed: Dobrev glaring down to force smouldering eye contact. Katie takes her 8, proves tough off the canvas: Dobrev's clean up attempt at the ropes meets a churning buzzsaw of desperate blonde rights and lefts. Nina backing off, drawing Katie to midring: patient step-and-poke evolves as Dobrev seeks to punish Katie rather than stop her; Cassidy accepting terms, looking to close Nina's left eye. It's a mistake for Katie: more urgency needed when you've been knocked down in the 10th round of a close fight: comes back one point duke Nina D on the strength of that knock down.

After: Cassidy's jaw dropping when Nina's hand is raised: blonde girl honestly had herself winning the fight. Dobrev behind going into the 10th - knockdown proves the difference as ingenues otherwise battle one another to a standstill. "I was hurting her all night with my hook," Nina reveals in postfight - swollen left eye all puffy and sore, "so when it came time to find a money punch, that's what I went with. Katie's good, but I'm a stronger puncher - I knew if I could just stand and bang with her, she'd go, and I'd be left standing." BLONDE! Magazine calling it a "Heist" for Dobrev, obviously hoping Katie could build on Michalka's work to run up the score on Neens.
