Section 4: Celebrities Pick Fantasy Fights For 2011

FANTASY FIGHTS OF THE STARS

Raquel Welch: My top lightweight fights for 2011...

(Raquel Welch is one of those celebrity fighting names who needs no introduction. The queen of the modern-day era who reigned at or near the top of all combative disciplines for 3 decades selects the lightweight fights she'd most like to see in 2011.)

SERINDA SWAN VS BEAU GARRETT: "I've heard that Swan was very quiet and unnerved on the set of TRON whenever Beau was around. I don't doubt it - Beau reminds me of the gorgeous women of the 60s - there's a carefree, sensual aspect to her that most young beauties today lack. Serinda is so brash, so loud and insecure...even if they didn't box, I'd love to see Beau slap Serinda's face and watch as Swan just crawled under a rock somewhere!"

MISSY PEREGRYM VS ERICA DURANCE: "I've enjoyed Erica immensely ever since she turned pro, but I think this Missy kid could be Erica's high-water mark. It's such a physical, muscular fight - I can just imagine how hard-hitting it would be!"

ANNA TORV VS JEN GARNER:
"People forget that Torv was actually brought in to retire Jen Garner, pre Frontstreet. I don't know how much of that personal animosity is left, but technically, this would be the classiest title fight in a good long while."

CASSIDY FREEMAN VS SARAH LANCASTER...or LIS ROHM
"I LOVE hard hitting in fights. Both Lancaster and Freeman could probably fight welterweight, but at lightweight, it would still be a slam-bang, beefy treat! And how hot would Freeman/Rohm be? Hot."

CAMERON DIAZ VS YVONNE STRAHOVSKI
"If Cameron Diaz is ever going to be champ again, 2011's the year. And if Cam's still got the game, Yvonne Strahovski's the litmus test."

DEMI MOORE'S FANTASY BANTAM FIGHTS

(Demi Moore remains one of the fittest women in boxing, and rode her conditioning to a string of apartment and boxing titles in the 80s and early 90s. She's long been a student of the game, and frequently serves in an advisory capacity for a number of young hollywood fighting celebrities.)

ASHLEY GREEN VS KATE HUDSON or KRISTEN STEWART

"I love Ashley's upperbody strength and I'd like to see more of her in 2011. She may have been rushed a bit in 2010, but I think her losses were terrific primers for her. Kate would be a great test of Ashley's will as Li'l Huddie's a stubborn blonde. And Stewart...how Ashley can tolerate Kristen in the FCBA is beyond me. I would've moved on her immediately, if I were Greene. But that's me: a champion through and through: a thoroughbred; an alpha-female. Ashley's just a kid."

HILLARY DUFF VS JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT
"I think Hewitt could be ready to give ground. If a strong young fighter like Duff committed to pushing Jen out of the way - it might take a few fights, but I'm sure Duff could use Jen up the way Jen exhausted Hayek. Then Duff should take her out onto the beach and submit her with arm-triangles and bearhugs!"

OLIVIA WILDE VS RACHEL MCADAMS
"Wilde's power-to-weight ratio reminds me of me: she can ride those legs to a championship. I'd love to see her in with a strong, body-punching movie star like Rachel McAdams. Kate Beckinsale would be great too, but I think Rachel would be such a test for Olivia."

ELISHA CUTHBERT VS MINKA KELLY
"I know they've fought before, but as far as I'm concerned, they should fight every Christmas! I'd actually love to referee that fight. So cute and feisty!"

ELIZA DUSHKU VS JULIE BENZ
"I've been impressed with Benz' 2010 campaign. She and Eliza could put on the classiest show since Hu/Dushku back in the day."

KATIE CASSIDY VS ANNALYNE MCCORD
"I was SO disappointed when McCord lost to Michalka, but Annalyne could definitely get back on her horse by shutting Katie up. I might have to do something about Cassidy myself: Hate her - she's so snarky!"

KATIE CASSIDY VS SUMMER GLAU

"I like this because both girls are poison for the other. Summer's all bendy/sultry; Katie's rigid/snarky - it's a great style contrast between slender girls. I'd love to see Summer slap Katie out, but Cassidy's got a stout straight-punching game and a right hand I'm not sure Glau can handle."

AMY JO JOHNSON'S FANTASY FLYWEIGHT FIGHTS

(Amy Jo Johnson is an unsung small-bodied brawler of the first rank. Currently starring in "Flashpoint", Amy Jo routinely sports the scrappiest ponytail on television.)

KRISTEN BELL VS AMY JO JOHNSON
"I don't know why, but I've always detested Kristen's snarky smartass attitude. I'd fight her topless and bareknuckle if I had to!"

KATIE CASSIDY VS SIENNA MILLER
"Miller's a big star, but these two are built to compete with each other. I love Cassidy's upperbody strength - she could seriously hurt Miller if they got to trading! To me, Katie Cassidy is sort of in the Shannen Doherty mold of flyweights with those broad shoulders, strong arms, and wee, reedy legs!"

KATIE CASSIDY VS NINA DOBREV
"Neens desperately needs a win - but I don't care; I just want to see good fights. I think a desperate Dobrev would make a terrific fight for Katie...this could be really tooth-and-nail!"

ASHLEY TISDALE VS CASSIE SCERBO
"Ashley's the one girl who could upset the Scerbo-Panettiere applecart in 2011. I'd love to see Ash pick them off one by one as they're totally focussed on one another! And then I could scoot in and give them ANOTHER round of beatings while they're hurting! Awesome!"

MILA KUNIS VS NATALIE PORTMAN
"Portman is movie star royalty at 110 and she knows it. So precious. But Mila's really coming on, and there's not enough room for them both in that space. I think Mila could really push Natalie in 2011."

AMANDA SEYFRIED VS LACEY CHABERT
"Nothing like a nice little Mean Girls reunion I always say! If Seyfried's tuff, she can prove it here. I think a LOT of body would get punched!"

MEGAN GALLAGHER'S FANTASY WELTERWEIGHT FIGHT PICKS

(Big Megs Gallagher was a strong-bodied phenom coming out of the China Beach program. She had some good moments, but alas, fought in an era of big-girl doldrums and is rarely spoken of today. Still, she's one of the smartest of the big-bodied set, and she gives us her take on the beefiest division in 2011.)

KATRINA LAW VS JODI LYN O'KEEFE

"Not many girls as mean as Jodi Lyn...Katrina's one of 'em. What I like is both are hungry guest-star types: no pampering here."

BROOKE SHIELDS VS AMANDA RIGHETTI

"I can't believe that Righetti's never fought Brooke. Shields is in the best condition of her life. I KNOW she's stronger than Amanda and I think Brooke can still shock the world if she can get Righetti hurt."

LEELEE SOBIESKI VS MANDY MOORE

"I love that Leelee's a threat to Mandy's star status, given that both are movie stars. Moore should do something about that."

KATHERINE HEIGL VS BRIDGET REGAN

"A lot of people scoffed when Heigl called out Bridgy Regs, but I think Kathy knows exactly what she's doing. Regan can't be beaten with pure smash mouth, and a cagey veteran could be just the type to expose her."

GENA LEE NOLIN VS CAT BELL

"I'd love to see Bell pick up where Theron left off and give Gena a terrific clout on the snout! Bad Gena Lee - bad!"

GENA LEE NOLIN VS BRIDGET REGAN

"Same idea as Heigl/Regan...Nolin would bring enough size and power to the dance, but she'd also have TONS of ring savvy that Bridgy would have no clue about. It's also a nice blonde/brunette tilt, which is great to see at welter again. If Regan chose to fashion herself as a blonde-slayer, just think of the fights she could make: Tori Wilson; Elizabeth Berkley; Stacey Keibler - on and on!"
