TESS VALMORE

There are seven JMDD bouts on this card, Of course Tractorpull doesn’t cover JMD bouts of any kind, however we will list the winner. I just hope that our source for the winner will be accurate. During those bouts I will be down in the bar watching baseball on my Mac laptop

NOLIN/RYAN Ryan was the winner

DADDDARIO/KRUPA Daddario

UPTON/ATKINSON Upton

McMAHON/CUOCO McMahon

CAMERON/KENDRICK Kendrick seemed to get a lot of pre-fight publicity and fortunately she lived up to the hype. After being even at the end of four, Kendrick took the fifth and in the sixth used Cameron’s head for a speed bag until Cameron went down and stayed down

CRUZ/FREGE This bout followed a similar path as the one preceding it. It was tied at the end of two and at the end of four. Frege managed to take the fifth. In the sixth, Frege landed an uppercut right on the button and Cruz went down and out. A rare win for Frege. In honor of her victory, we are awarding Cruz an “I was KOed by Frege” T-shirt

HUDGENS.McCORD Another close fight early. The bout was even at the end of two and even at the end of four. McCord took the fifth by a wide margin. Things weren’t looking good for Hudgens at the beginning of the sixth, however, McCord got careless and walked into a Hudgens hook and straight right that put her on the canvas. McCord managed to regain her feet and finish the round. She, however, hadn’t recovered as the seventh round began. Hudgens floored her again. McCord again got to her feet, but was an easy target for Hudgens, who pounded her until the referee stepped in and stopped the bout

HALE/SHAHI Shahi got off to a good start by taking the first three rounds. Towards the end of the fourth, Hale landed a right-left-right combination that send Shahi to the deck. Hale then took the next two rounds to gain a commanding lead. Shahi managed to gain control once again by taking rounds seven and eight. In the ninth, it was Shahi’s heavier hands that proved decisive as a pair of hooks to the chin left Hale out on the floor.

UPTON/McMAHON Upton

DADDARIO/RYAN Daddario

DENNINGS/WILKINSON This was a bout that Wilkinson dominated from the beginning. She won the first four rounds. Five and six were too close to call but Wilkinson maintained her substantial lead. Round seven was sloppy. Both fighters fouled. Wilkinson managed to foul better and ended Dennoings night with a shot to the liver

VANDERVOORT/GREENE Vandervoort took the first round, but Greene came back to win rounds two and three. Vandervoort got the better of the punching in the fourth and had Greene staggering at the end of the round. Greene was slow off her stool at the beginning of the fifth and Vandervoort went on the offensive finally ending the fight with a right cross./left hook combination

JACOBS\C. BELL Miss Ginny is desperately trying to find someone Bell can beat. Her only win this year was over not a welter but a bantam. Miss Ginny was successful Bell had a one round lead at the end of five, all rounds being close, In the sixth. a right uppercut from Bell dropped Jacobs to her knees and then she pitched forward on her face where she stayed as the count passed her by

LIVELY/YUSTMAN For some reason Yustman just doesn’t seem to be able to get a title fight. She’s been knocking on the door for months however never gets tossed the bouquet. The way this fight went may have something to do with it. This was one of the best Lively performances we have seen, at least for the first six rounds as she has a 4-2 lead. In the seventh Yustman hurt Lively with a left/right combination and had Lively in bad shape at the end of the round. Lively would not recover and in the eighth went down for the count from a series of right hands,

MACK/FISHEL Since coming out of retirement back in 2009 Fishel’s record has been what might be termed so-so and she was certainly the underdog in the bout with Mack. It, however. was a good fight. The bout was even at the end of four. In the fifth Fishel floored Mack to take the lead which she never gave up. Mack would take only one more round as Fishel regained the bantam title once again. Her first since 2007

STRAHOVSKI/THERON This was a bout that should have never been scheduled. The result was a foregone conclusion. The aged and worn out Theron simply wasn’t going to beat the best lightweight going at this moment. That said, this was a much better fight than I expected. After the champ took the first three rounds, Theron rallied to take the next three including s shocking sixth round knockdown. Theron actually had a one point lead going into the final round. In the tenth, Strahovski floored Theron who beat the count but then was beaten into oblivion and the referee wisely stopped the fight. You knew this was going to happen since Theron simply can’t go into late rounds and survive, How long is his going to go on? Theron is on her way to the worst year of her career. It isn’t going to get any better. Theron and Bell should go

DADDARIO/UPTON Upton
