BEFORE:

"I know everyone thinks I'm a failure," says Beau with a shake of the head. "A flash in the pan who got a bunch of fights a few years ago and couldn't seal the deal. Well, if an inexperienced fighter losing to girls like Nichols, Cole, and Theron makes her a failure, there are a lot of failures in the FCBA. I can fight. And I'm back to prove it."

"She's better than people think," says Anna with a nod. "She's got a lot of length and some power. She can box. She's no one to sleep on. But, I have no intention of doing any sleeping tonight. I can't promise I won't PUT someone to sleep, though. Can't promise that at all."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside, and that's 'Cold' by Crossfade, and here comes the star of that video, the gorgeous Beau Garrett..."

Cassie: "And, look, Mac, she has THREE FCBA wins!"

McCarthy: "Ridiculous! Torv ought to be on pay-per-view fighting top contenders instead of sitting in second position at this bush-league event against a girl who burned out back when Obama was president!"

Tess: "Um...Obama is STILL president..."

McCarthy: "Nice try, Walmart! I know Trump's president now!"

Tess: "To quote Dr. Frasier Crane, 'What color is the sky in your world?'"

McCarthy: "Frasier Crane wasn't a DOCTOR, he was an ACTOR! He starred in 'Hulk Hogan's Heroes'!"

Tess: "I...I actually don't know where to start..."

Cassie: "There can't even be a bingo square for that one..."

O'Dell(sighing): "Garrett into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal a lacey maroon number that gets the crowd buzzing, and that's 'The Pain and The Passion' you hear, and that means 'The Aussie Enforcer', Anna Torv, is on her way to the ring..."

McCarthy: "Finally, a REAL fighter!"

O'Dell: "Torv down the aisle to bump glove to fist with Mac on her way by. Anna into the ring, helped off with the robe to reveal that black two-piece she likes, and it's time for some picks. Tess favors Anna. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Torv easily."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "It's unanimous. Let's see if the ladies are right. Garrett right to the long, long left off the bell. Torv a tall girl, doesn't give up length most of the time, but she is here..."

Cassie: "Got to wonder if Uncle Wiz booked this specifically because Anna's scheduled against Palicki as soon as Adrianne's back in fighting shape after that shoulder issue..."

O'Dell: "Palicki even taller than Garrett..."

McCarthy: "And a LOT better than Garrett, too. Let's not forget THAT..."

O'Dell: "Beau getting the left working, making Anna respect the long poke. Torv willing to hang outside, feel out the taller girl, probe those defenses. Lot of feeling out by both fighters in the early going..."

Tess: "What's the thinking that goes into that, Mac? Sometimes fights will start like this, with tactical stuff, feeling out, and, other times one girl goes right after the other..."

McCarthy: "A lot goes into it. Depends on who the girl is, the style, how you want to fight. Right here, I'm not surprised. Torv wants look for ways around that length and Garrett has to be wary of Anna's power."

O'Dell: "Coming down the stretch now. Garrett effective with the left. Making Torv work hard to slip past and get off. Ten seconds to go. Good exchange there as we approach the bell. First big two-way flurry of the fight and that's it. Bell sounds. First in the books. Beau's round."

Tess: "And it can't hurt the underdog to take a 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Back to work in the second and more tactical stuff from both fighters. Garrett wants long range with that left jab and she's working hard to keep Torv out on the end of it and set up the odd right hand. Anna moving head, feet, and shoulders, dipping past the jab to get off quickly before Beau can create distance again."

McCarthy: "Torv very patient right now. She's showing a lot of caution here, a lot of respect for Garrett's power. Maybe too much..."

Cassie: "Unless, of course, this is more than just a fight and is also a dry run for Palicki..."

McCarthy: "Weirdo and Campbell aren't that smart..."

O'Dell: "Heading for the halfway point of the round. Lots of activity from both fighters. The odd long exchange, but mostly it's a war of movement and positioning as both fighters work to get to their spots and get off when they do so..."

Tess: "Garrett showing plenty of patience, too. Not rushing anything. Showing Torv respect, but not shying away from exchanging with her."

O'Dell: "She is not. Beau willing to stand firm and work the gloves and the feet to get the distance she wants when Anna slips past her defenses. This is good stuff from both fighters right to the bell. Close round. Torv."

Tess: "And, that means we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third begins with the pattern set. Garrett wants to use all 5'10" of her length, create distance with the left jab, leave Anna just out of punching range. Torv wants to navigate the defenses carefully, working her way past the jab and getting off quickly before Beau can re-establish geometry..."

Cassie: "Since the folks at home haven't seen Beau for awhile, they may have forgotten how athletic she is, but you're seeing that now. She moves extremely well."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. You can see how she works angles and spacing with her feet, always making Torv work hard to get into position and limiting her when she does manage to do it. Anna still patient, taking the openings as they come."

McCarthy: "Torv may need to turn up the aggression here at some point..."

O'Dell: "Showing no signs of that at the moment. Sticking with the tactical war of movement. And that suits Beau just fine. Garrett more than willing to work on these terms. Both fighters staying busy. Both working hard and getting leather home, but neither landing any power shots as the bell rings to end the third. Close. Garrett."

Tess: "29-28, Beau after three."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Fourth starts like the third ended. Garrett making with the long left poke. Torv carefully working her way past the defenses, getting to her spots and scoring with both hands when she does so. Beau restoring distance quickly, working the feet and the left. Plenty of angling from both fighters..."

Tess: "Garrett kind of does remind you of Palicki..."

McCarthy: "WHAT?"

Tess: "Calm down, Mac. Obviously, she doesn't have Adrianne's experience or the skill Palicki's developed with that experience, and she doesn't have Adrianne's power, but few fighters do..."

McCarthy: "That's better..."

Tess: "But, the styles are similar. You see a lot of what Palicki does in what Garrett does..."

O'Dell: "Definitely a similar look, but, as you mention, Garrett hasn't shown the one-punch power Palicki has. She's showing some of the other tools, though, and making good use of them right now. She's not letting Torv get in rhythm or get physical..."

McCarthy: "And, this is why I'm saying Anna needs to get more aggressive."

O'Dell: "Torv staying patient, though. She's finding spots to get her offense going. Beau managing those opportunities well with the left hand and with her feet. Doing a great job of managing spacing and distance, of controlling pace. Final seconds tick off, and there's the bell. Close again to Garrett."

Cassie: "Beau a bit of a lead now, 39-37."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth begins with the same pattern we've seen. Garrett working for space, Torv looking not to close but to slip inside the defenses where she can work. Torv getting a bit more of what she wants now, finding ways past the glove consistently..."

McCarthy: "She's beginning to solve the defense now, just as I expected."

O'Dell : "Anna landing a good one-two, backing Garrett up a step. Beau quickly adjusting distance, back to the jab, but Torv right back at her. Anna finding the range now, getting where she wants to be and getting leather home..."

Cassie: "Anna getting in rhythm right now, and that's bad news for whomever is in front of her."

O'Dell: "And, right now, that happens to be Beau. Garrett game. Working hard. But getting backed up and touched up right now. Not hurt, but in retreat as Torv gets rolling. She's finding holes and making excellet use of them, putting punches together extremely well as we head into the final seconds. Garrett tying up now and Torv banging free at the bell. Good round for Anna."

Tess: "And she's cut the lead to 48-47 at the half."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Sixth begins with Anna Torv continuing to roll. The Aussie's getting past Garrett again and again now, working in combination, forcing Beau to retreat. Garrett's game, but not able to find much of an answer. She's banging back hard, but coming out second best in these exchanges..."

McCarthy: "THIS is why I keep saying Torv's the best fighter Weirdo has. What you're seeing here is what one of the best lights in the world can do."

O'Dell: "And she's doing a lot right now. She's landing punches in bunches, touching up Garrett again and again, forcing her out of her defenses, making her retreat, and ROCKING HER WITH A RIGHT HAND! Torv shook Garrett's legs with that one!"

Tess: "Set it up with a double-tap jab and just banged it right on target!"

O'Dell: "Garrett giving ground, backing toward the ropes, guard high, taking heavy fire and DOWN SHE GOES! Anna with another straight right sends Beau to her back!"

Cassie: "I don't know if she's getting up from that one..."

O'Dell: "Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Garrett still on her back staring up at the referee. Seven. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's over! That quickly, it's over! And your winner by KO6 is 'The Aussie Enforcer', Anna Torv!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I've got our winner, Anna Torv, and, Anna, seems like you had to work hard against that length early."

Anna: "She's slick and athletic, and long, like you point out. I wanted to find ways past her rather than just force my way in. She can hit, so why take chances?"

Tess: "Those tactics you used could be effective against another tall light who comes to mind..."

Anna(smiling): "You never know."
