BEFORE:

"You know what's funny," asks Carrie with that lovely smile. "Everybody talks about Ricci being poison for Front Street because she finished off Seyfried and sent her packing. Well. They forget that somebody STARTED Seyfried on her way out the door, and that somebody was ME. And, now, Christina's got Meester with one foot out the door. And, tonight, Carrie Underwood's going to finish the job."

"Here's the thing," says Leighton without a hint of a smile. "I'm not Amanda Seyfried. And Carrie's about to find that out in the ugliest way possible."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Good Girl', and here comes the Good Girl herself, the pride of Gemini Boxing, Carrie Underwood..."

McCarthy: "And, Weirdo must have been drinking more of that swill he likes than normal when he signed this, because, not only does Carrie have FCBA wins, she's beaten Rimes, who, as we know, beat his little pet Dennings. And, she's beaten Shakira AND his former Dancing Hooker Seyfried, and she's coming off a win over Jessica Simpson. This girl may not be great, but she's a REAL fighter."

O'Dell: "Carrie helped off with the robe by the Gemini corner crew to reveal a hunter green number we've seen before, and that's 'Somebody To Love' you hear banging through the arena, and the lady who teamed up with Robin Thicke on that song, 'The Marco Island Mauler', Leighton Meester, is on her way to the ring..."

McCarthy: "And, take a good look at her, because this might be the last time you see her at Asylum. After Underwood beats her tonight, she'll be out the door like Seyfried, Spears, and all the other failed Front Street flys!"

Cassie: "Funny. I saw Jamie Lynn Spears right here in this arena today, so I don't think she went 'out the door'..."

McCarthy: "You know what I MEAN, Scabbo..."

Tess: "We RARELY know what you mean, Mac..."

McCarthy: "Shut up, Walmart!"

O'Dell: "Drink up boys and check out Leighton as she climbs into the ring and is helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that pink and red number she likes. Time for some picks. Tess favors Leighton. Mac..."

McCarthy: "Like I said. Underwood will beat her and send her packing."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "There's the bell. Both fighters want to box and both are making with the jab as we get underway. All about range-finding right now, as blonde and brunette work for position, angling, moving the feet, trying to get the geometry right. Both busy. Getting the gloves out and back quickly."

McCarthy: "Underwood dipping that left shoulder, getting underneath Meester's left, then going left-right.."

O'Dell: "Leighton wants a bit more distance as she has some reach in this one, being a couple of inches taller. Carrie wants to slip just inside the guard and work there, so we're getting quite a bit of tactical movement and nice spurts of action when each girl gets where she wants to be..."

Tess: "Underwood a little more aggressive right now, Jenny..."

O'Dell: "She is, and a bit more effective, too. Meester having moments, but Carrie getting more work done. She's able to get to her spots and get leather home, landing a high percentage. Meester maybe getting harder stuff on target, but Carrie more than making up for that in volume. Final seconds tick off and that's the end of the first. Underwood."

Cassie: "10-9, Carrie after one."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second round sees more boxing effort from both fighters. Underwood showing a bit more movement than Leighton, making up for the Meester's slight reach advantage with good feet. She's constantly moving, not circling or dancing, but sliding, bouncing, dipping inside the Meester guard to get off..."

Cassie: "Similar styles, really. Both like to work off the left, box at range. Neither interested in changing that up at the moment."

O'Dell: "And, that's likely because both are having success with it. Both fighters scoring, and neither being forced to the defensive. Both able to get what they want in spots, like the first round. Carrie not getting as much as she did then, but still getting her share."

Tess: "Might be because Leighton's a bit more active this round. Wasn't as busy in the first."

O'Dell: "She definitely is, and it's making a bit of a difference, as she's getting more scoring shots home. Carrie still landing the higher percentage, though, getting better geometry more often. We're coming down the stretch now and the two fighters exchanging and exchanging again. Both scoring in those flurries and in one more at the bell. Close. Carrie."

McCarthy: "20-18, Underwood, and Meester is staring at that 3-0 hole unless she can get something done in the third."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third begins with Meester zeroing in with the left. She's getting it on target early now, slowing Carrie, leaving her at range where Leighton can follow with right hands. Underwood still trying to slip past, but not having much success..."

Cassie: "Meester not just pre-empting Carrie with that jab right now, she's controlling her with it..."

O'Dell: "Carrie able to work in counter only at the moment. Leighton taking over lead in a big way, forcing Underwood to the defensive. Carrie giving some ground now, looking to slip and dip, but mostly unable to do that."

Tess: "Leighton's got that jab lasered in at the moment, Jenny."

O'Dell: "Sure does, and it's turned the momentum of the fight. It's Meester taking charge as we head down the stretch. Carrie fighting back hard, but she's being out-hit and suppressed by the brunette. Leighton on a roll right to the bell. Meester solid."

McCarthy: "Still 29-28 for Underwood, though."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Meester right back to the left. Finding range perfectly with it now. Carrie being forced to cover up as Leighton flurries with both hands. Underwood counters, then Meester with another combo..."

Cassie: "Meester is a typical Front Street fighter, big for the weight, hits above the weight. And she's using that size and power right now."

O'Dell: "Yes, she is, and she's backing Carrie up with the hard right hands coming off the jab. Underwood trying to hang in, trying to get off square, but Meester's got the range and the blonde's getting the worst of things as a result."

McCarthy: "She's got to get outside Meester's jab..."

O'Dell: "But, Leighton not allowing that. Keeping the geometry in her favor. The blonde being forced to the defensive again and again while the brunette fights lead. Underwood countering when she can, but it's Meester in control bell to bell."

Tess: "All even at 38 now."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Meester continuing to fight lead as we begin the fifth. Leighton in rhythm now, stepping to Carrie, backing her up. Underwood trying to get off square, but can't seem to do it. Meester lining her up with that left, dropping the right hand hard..."

Tess: "Carrie scoring in counter, but can't get off the defensive."

O'Dell: "Leighton getting a bit more aggressive as this round goes on, forcing Underwood out of her prepared defenses, making her take leather. Carrie fighting back in counter, but can't hold canvas and THERE'S A RIGHT HAND AND MEESTER'S HURT! A blistering right hand counter!"

McCarthy: "TOLD you! TOLD you Meester would lose and be on her way out!"

O'Dell: "Underwood all in now, winging away at Meester, driving her back to the ropes and hammering away with both hands. Carrie all about finishing now and she may have Leighton ready to go. Meester in the earmuff, jabbing back in spots, but taking a beating. Carrie stepping into everything, shakes Meester with a right hand but there's the bell! Underwood wide and Meester unsteady on the way back to her corner."

Cassie: "48-47, Carrie back in the lead."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Underwood on the offensive to start the second half. She's stepping forward behind the jab, banging away with right hands, looking to consolidate against the brunette. Meester giving a little ground grudgingly, banging back in counter. It's a fighting retreat as Leighton seems to be getting the legs back under her."

McCarthy: "Underwood wants to keep pushing here until Meester firms up the defenses completely. Don't want to give up on the offensive too quickly."

O'Dell: "And Carrie is absolutely not doing that. She's staying after Meester, getting a lot of work done. Leighton holding ground now, firing back hard, and we're getting some of the best two-way exchanges of the fight as a result. Meester backs Carrie up a step, but Underwood right back forward to land a solid combination."

Cassie: "Carrie staying very busy, but she's no longer pushing forward. Don't want to walk into anything by being overly aggressive."

O'Dell: "Underwood back to dipping and slipping. She's getting more of the angles she wants now. Leighton landing solid shot in return, though. It's good back and forth stuff between the blonde and the brunette as we head down the stretch. Final seconds ticking off. Good right hand by Underwood and there's the bell. Carrie's round."

Tess: "58-56 now for Underwood with four to go."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Meester back to the left jab in the seventh. Underwood's adjusted some and is able to dip and slip it again, step in and get off. Leighton, though, getting it on target at other times, and, when she does, she follows on with solid right hands that back Carrie up."

Cassie: "Underwood very slick with what she's doing right now. Varying her movement, ducking, sliding, looking for any hole in the defenses to slip through."

O'Dell: "Slides under a left and RIGHT INTO A RIGHT HOOK! Underwood ducked a left jab and stepped forward and Leighton DRILLED her with the hook! Carrie stumbles backward and now it's Meester all in. Leighton backing Underwood up with heavy fire. Carrie giving ground, keeping the guard up..."

McCarthy: "Meester needs to get more aggressive. She has to go all in to finish this. She's behind."

O'Dell: "Leighton deliberate, slowly working Carrie backward, pinning her to the ropes, thumping some body to try to bring the guard down. Carrie not having it, crouching to protect it as best she can. Leighton back up top, then right back down again, keeping up a steady pressure. Carrie jabbing in spots, doing just enough to keep the referee from thinking about stopping this. Ten seconds left. Leighton jabbing, good right off the left, and there's the bell. Meester wide, but Carrie still standing..."

Tess: "And still on top, 67-66."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "Meester now looking to consolidate just like Underwood did not so long ago. Leighton coming forward, forcing Carrie back. Underwood very defensive right now, looking to time a counter here and there, but mostly keeping the guard high and giving ground..."

McCarthy: "This is what Meester should have done last round, get after this kid."

O'Dell: "She's after Carrie now, sitting down on her punches, still taking care to set them up, but getting off lusty, no question of that. Underwood's legs coming back. She's moving better, working hard to stay off the ropes, countering a bit more as the round goes on and DOWN SHE GOES! Right hand, Meester and DOWN GOES UNDERWOOD!"

Cassie: "Set it up with a double-tap left jab."

O'Dell: "Did indeed, and Carrie dropped to her rear end by the follow on right. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Underwood getting to her feet. Seven. And she beats it. Referee going to give her the mandatory and waive Leighton forward with about 25 seconds left. Meester on Underwood immediately, banging hard rights home off stiff left jabs. Carrie backing immediately into the ropes and going into the ear muff. Meester hammering away with ten seconds left. Five seconds. Bell. Underwood survives again, but this time it's a 10-8 round for Leighton."

Tess: "And Meester has her first lead, 76-75."

ROUND NINE:

O'Dell: "Meester right back after Underwood now. She's walking through Carrie, thumping her backward with heavy leather. The blonde taking, giving ground, slide-stepping right away from power, trying to circle and stay off the ropes..."

McCarthy: "Underwood may be all done. It doesn't look like she has enough left to challenge Meester..."

O'Dell: "Leighton getting more aggressive, continuing to back Underwood up. Carrie giving, circling, looking to score in counter, but she's doing most everything off the back foot. Meester a SOLID right that backs up Carrie. Leighton forcing the blonde into the ropes now, going to work body as Carrie keeps the guard high..."

Cassie: "This is what I said about Meester. Front Street fighter. Big for the weight. Punches above the weight. And she's putting that on Underwood right now."

O'Dell: "She is, indeed. Carrie back in the ropes taking, leaning away from the heavy leather being thrown by Meester. Leighton upstairs then down, down and back up, getting power into just about everything. Underwood covering up, jabbing back, trying to time a counter. Final seconds of the ninth slip into history, and there's the bell. Meester wide."

Tess: "86-84. If we're right, Carrie needs something big in the final round."

ROUND TEN:

O'Dell: "Three minutes left in this one and it's Underwood going on the offensive early in the tenth. Carrie back to dipping and slipping, sliding inside. Leighton's jab and banging now, committing, taking some chances. Meester firing right back and we're seeing some short-range firefights for the first time tonight..."

McCarthy: "Meester is NUTS for being in there. She needs to jab and move, create distance, run clock. She has the lead. Why is she standing there banging?"

O'Dell: "Underwood working a bit of body, then going right back upstairs. She's very busy right now, pouring all her reserves into the battle..."

Tess: "And showing she has plenty left now that she's got the legs back..."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. Meester holding ground, digging some body of her own. Both fighters getting off some SOLID shot and neither willing to give an inch. Crowd getting into this as a slugfest is devloping in a BIG way. Coming down the stretch and they're on their feet as the two flys just keep trading bombs..."

Cassie: "Plenty of sweat flying right now, Jenny..."

O'Dell: "Twenty seconds left and what a flurry here! Both women land big right hands and neither blinks. Good left hook Carrie. Straight right from Leighton. Underwood a NASTY one two. Meester a hard right. Five seconds and a blizzard of leather flying right to the bell..."

McCarthy: "Oh, FOR..."

O'Dell: "And there's one of those hugs Mac hates, but I get it. Great fight that goes down to the wire. Underwood got that one close, I think, but..."

Tess: "If we're right, it's going to be a one-point decision for Meester..."

O'Dell: "Decision being announced and it's unanimous, 95-94 for your winner, 'The Marco Island Mauler', Leighton Meester!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Leighton Meester, and, Leighton, tough one tonight..."

Leighton: "Sure was. Got myself in a hole a couple of times and I had to dig out of that, but, I knew if I could get my power on her, I'd beat her."

Tess: "Big win in a lot of ways?"

Leighton: "They're all big. I'm in a four-fighter division here and every girl in it is younger than me. You've got to earn your spots here, and the way to do that is to beat people. So, yes, it was big, and the next one will be just as big, or bigger. That's the way it is around here."
