21 September 2015 Missy Hyatt vs Renee Zellweger

Despite the fact that neither fighter in the third match had been seen in the ring for over a decade, both seemed quite eager to have a go at the other. "She's a big pushover," commented Missy Hyatt pre-fight. "I'm showing up as strong as ever, and she's going to come to the fight making sure her hair looks nice, and it's going to last until I hit her once." Zellweger herself was equally dismissive. "Missy is probably the second or third toughest woman named 'Missy' that I know of, but not only is she no good as a fighter, she's actually dense enough to make a career of being a punching bag. I'm sure she's going to be in high demand from anyone who wants to put a mark in the win column."

The setup was free of catastrophes; Hyatt, in a fairly traditional woman wrestler's red one piece, was more interested in showing off her fairly impressive physique than actively antagonizing her rival. Zellweger, wearing a black sports bra and matching skirt -- the first fighter to show up in something resembling athletic wear -- ignored her antics until McGowan brought the two together at the center of the ring. Zellweger unenthusiastically offered to touch gloves, only to see Hyatt pretend to accept, then snub her at the last second with a flourish. Zellweger rolled her eyes, waiting for the fight to start to repay the insult.

Round 1

Hyatt got off to a good start in the opening of the match, showing a solid amount of power as her first attacks thumped her shorter rival. However, this was Hyatt's peak moment in the round. Zellweger began to counter effectively from then on, quickly reversing the few successes Hyatt scored and preventing her from making any big moves. During the break, Hyatt was subject to some speculation that Zellweger was simply out of her reach.

Round 2

Hyatt proved the critics wrong in the second round, surprising an overconfident Zellweger in the first few seconds with a blow that made the blonde actress nearly lose her balance. Zellweger rallied, only to absorb another bomb from Hyatt that put her back where she started. This proved to be the story of the round; Zellweger had it in her to dig herself out, but Hyatt was difficult to dislodge given momentum. On paper, plenty of moves from Zellweger made the score contested, but Hyatt had every reason to look smug between rounds.

Round 3

Zellweger, having absorbed some heavy hits but still looking capable, met Hyatt in the center of the ring at the start of the third round. Hyatt immediately nailed her directly in the nose, cutting short the actress' plans and causing her to bunker up. Hyatt, unfettered, was quite dangerous, moving in to pound Zellweger's tummy and eliciting winces from the shorter blonde. Zellweger, however, was uninterested in being a punching bag, and managed to chase off or frustrate Hyatt periodically. Zellweger left the round with fewer offensive accomplishments this time, but also looking much less damaged.

Round 4

In the start of the fourth round Zellweger, using all of her focus, slipped around Hyatt's opener and tagged the wrestler on the jaw in response. While the blow hardly spelled defeat for Hyatt on its own, Hyatt with momentum denied quickly found herself unable to compete. Zellweger tapped away at the struggling wrestler, never flooring her but keeping her thoroughly under control. The round ended with a panting, worn out Hyatt leaning back against the ropes, absorbing whatever Zellweger had to offer.

Round 5

Hyatt showed little improvement during the break, returning to the fight a battered but vertical mess. Zellweger, going for efficiency, quickly moved to officially end the unofficially decided fight. After a few quick trial swings confirmed what everyone knew, landing despite Hyatt's best efforts, Zellweger leaned in for a hook to the struggling wrestler's jaw. Hyatt stopped, attempted the beginnings of a reply, then tipped over and landed face down. Hands at her sides, cheek to the mat, eyes shut, mouth open, the defeated blonde peacefully slept through the count.

Zellweger allowed Hyatt, still out cold, to be carried off by her two seconds, dismissing her with a playful shooing motion to McGowan's amusement. The victorious actress claimed her hug from the excited hostess before addressing the crowd. "Easy! I tried to warn her, but she really insisted on having her lights punched out. I don't care how tough she thinks she is, class beats no class, period."
