Before: Carey pulls a slender female reporter out of press-row in the Los Angeles kick-off conference, hugging her chest to chest, lifting the poor girl bug-eyed up off the floor and squeezing her out right in front of Gena! Depositing the limp little form on the dais in front of the welterweight champ and drawing her thumb across her throat - Mariah sends a message loud and clear as security rushes in to usher Carey out of the room. Nolin ashen-faced at the display of sheer power and brutality - we've never seen Gena so rattled in prefight. "She's insane," Gena says. "Was that supposed to impress me? So Mariah's got a bearhug - big deal. Remind me about how strong Carey is after I knock her out." Mariah in black bikini, gold ring connections at jug and hip, gold embroidered trim, low curly ponytail, curly bangs. Gena in punching peach bikini. White gloves, both vixens. Carey repeating her throat-slash gesture during ring-instructions, ramping up the fines before the fight's even started.

During R1: Gena creep-steppin' right, bending at the waist - she's making Carey miss over top early. Nolin not super-cute with her feet, but her supple upperbody movement nice to see in a big woman - Nolin with the left hand at her tummy, right at her cheek, slipping punches, sliding 'round Carey's left flank. Gena getting lead right uppercuts into Mariah's paunch - good thumping blows - then stepping away: champ just dialing in, getting range and rhythm. Carey stomping forward, pumping her jab, leaning into hurtling right hands - she's missing over the top for the most part, but late the round - her momentum carries into Gena, driving champ to ropes. Buxom slugging downstairs - Mariah working the Nolin paunch rights and lefts - Carey drops her right (back) foot back, pulls a GONGING hook across Gena's temple and NOLIN'S HURT! Gena suddenly aswoon, upright, swaying at the ropes, hands pushing out in don't-hurt-me gesture as MARIAH SWINGS AWAY! Carey finishing run an awesome sight - big brawny arms belting side to side - hulking jugs sloshing back and forth - teeth bared. Gena's face POUNDED - hands drooping to a useless stack at her tummy - Nolin tilting forward, facing into punches, strong legs refusing to let her down as bell sounds. MARIAH'S STILL PASTING GENA! Carey sloshing away - ref tackling her back - she leaves Gena a staring, staggering mess in a wild-slugging first!

R2: Mariah storms across the ring - Gena showing good presence of mind: ducking; creeping stepping right, easing Carey into muscular clinches around the ribs. Carey bogged down as Gena wrestles her to ropes - fight slows into true big-girl slogging rhythm as blondes lay in mouth on shoulder, working hard to push at one another's rounded arms, reversing each other into ropes, punishing ribs, tummy, jug. Clubbing, clobbering stuff - girls standing flatfooted, laying in with each other, brawny arms writhing to pull and push for position. Fat, pounding, two-way spank out of the hook-up: both women absorbing tremendous, methodical shock as each tightens up stroke, stuffs it in big-girl through 2.

R3: Gena's little creep-step right, bobbing torso a real difference-maker: Nolin can make Carey miss, setting Mariah up for beefy counters. Gena's got that hefty right hand off the step-right - hoisting it thick to pit of Mariah's belly - midway through, Nolin puts the hook on top to clout Carey's chin, putting Mariah wobbly butt. Carey hurt, baby-stepping forward with forlorn expression - she's looking to snuggle as Nolin steps back, helps herself to oncoming Diva-torso. Rich, belting rights and lefts - great muscular strokes from Gena - clap against tummy, ribs, jug - victimizing poor stumbling Mariah. Late the round - Gena able to body up and walk her challenger to ropes: Carey covers up earmuff for the first time tonight as Gena squares away. Big, banging beatdown - Nolin squared away, patiently painting on the shellack - beating Mariah's arms and flanks, punishing Mariah, systematically cudgelling the singer's will to resist. Bell: Nolin nostrils flaring, forcing eye contact; Carey woozily pushing Gena back, staggering around - Mariah soaks up tremendous punishment in the third.

R4: Creep-step right, Gena - loose torso, bobbing slips - Nolin's clearly the more supple, classier vixen in the fray. Carey a come-forward girl: dukes up, chin tucked, eyes blazing - she just keeping trying to find Gena with heavy single jabs and roaring right hands over the top. Nolin walking Mariah into clinches, then muscling her - but finding it difficult to do so: Carey as bull-strong as any girl in the division, writhing and squirming with Nolin as girls struggle to put one another's backs to ropes. Inconclusive round - Nolin defensivly superior, but not doing much with her opportunities: Carey the aggressor, but effectiveness stunted by Gena's lateral movement and upperbody slickness.

R5: Mariah doubles up the jab for maybe the first time in her career, finding Gena in the mouth and straightening champ up. Big booming right takes Nolin on the ear at the minute mark, spilling her wide-eyed to ropes: Gena covers up earmuff, stooping forward and SHOUTING in pain as Mariah carries a thick right hand into the pit of the champion's stomach. Beaming grin Mariah at the sound of Gena's hurt - Carey shifts left to work off Gena's right shoulder, hoisting right hands thick and thumping into the Nolin breadbasket. Gena sobbing, reaching for Carey's hips: Mariah standing tall, bashes her fists down across the Nolin kidneys, nearly bludgeoning champ to her knees before ref's break. Mariah back in, prodding at extended left into Gena's guard/chest, then clapping a beefy right in above Nolin's hip: juicy stuff - Nolin grimacing in hurt. Nolin reaching in to clinch again: Mariah bodies Gena back into ropes, mauling and bumping at G, stuffing punches into her body out of the clinch. Rest of the way big-woman beatdown, Mariah to Gena: Carey very conscientiously beating the biceps of her foe with thick, flat-knuckle clubbing; digging to Gena's flanks in behind the elbows; riding a forearm across Gena's upperback to shove Nolin to all fours (ruled a push - Mariah warned for it). Bell: Mariah helps herself to a clapping chunk of Gena-buttock, sending champ staggering back to her corner numb, chastised in the fifth.

R6: Gena ragged, flatfooted - but serviceable: she might have quit earlier in her career after a round like the fifth, but older, more mature champion Gena's made of sterner stuff. Nolin sticks with what's working - the counter-clockwise lateral creep-step; the big swinging right bolo punch lead to Mariah's belly, and; following the right to the body with a heavy, clouting left hook to chin, tic-toc. Mariah constantly shook and startled, stumbling forward, pawing her jab, just trying to tough things out until she can get on top of Gena. Nolin doing a better job of muscling Carey in the clinches - Carey's legs not as strong as they have been, courtesy Gena's booming body work: it's Gena walking Mariah to ropes for ref's breaks. Midway through, that right to the body, left to the chin combo scores Yahtzee: MARIAH GOES DOWN! Carey shaken by the body shot, paralyzed - chin shot hooks the mouthpiece off her teeth and drops the singer to all fours. Nolin nodding huge, stepping around behind Mariah, putting a foot on Carey's ass and SHOVING CAREY TO HER FACE! Howls of protest from Mariah's corner and fans - Mariah looking disheveled and confused as she props her up on her forearms - Gena bodied back by the ref: it's pandemonium. After 8, Nolin wades on in, stacks Mariah ropeside, squares away and LAPS AT THAT RACK! Oh, the humanity - Gena Lee Nolin standing Mariah up and going at her zoftig juggs with buxom lefts and rights. Great side to side swabbing action to bell leaves Carey blubbering in shock, slumped in the ropes - grinning Gena pulled off from behind from a concerned ref as Gena takes a little extra.

R7: Mariah proving tougher, more stubborn and determined than expected: SHE may very well have quit earlier in her career after a beating like the seventh. Stop and go action as big women fall in together, muscling each other to ropes, mauling with raised elbows, holding-and-hitting. Both girls slopping it to the other's hip/flank out of the clinch, curling punches into one another's back while standing chest to chest. Lot of weight-bearing tactics - both girls leaning on one another's sweaty upperbacks; both beating the other's biceps with short, cudgelling clouts. Another inconclusive round drains both competitors: mouths are open, eyelashes fluttery as big beauties straggle back to corners for TLC.

R8: Krusher corner tells Gena to look for uppercuts as Mariah's leaning in: champ takes it to heart. Nolin still mining gold with her right to Carey's body, left to the chin combo - but now she's easing weight to her right (back) foot on follow through, guiding Mariah in, then picking her up the right uppercut before clinching. Carey groggily taking punches - visibly hurt and shabby after soaking good muscular stroke from Nolin. Gena scoring, then tieing up, walking Mariah to ropes and mauling her until ref's breaks - good greasy GLN beatdown as Carey looks exhausted, shopworn.

R9: Mariah just won't go away! Carey's body and legs very, very strong - she soaks tremendous, beefy whacks from Gena, but answers back, clouting Nolin upside her head to force Gena to ropes. Nolin covering up earmuff, suffering as Mariah lifts right hand after right hand heavy to breadbasket - Gena shuddering as though being battered with sandbags against her body - brutal to watch such systematic abuse. Ponderous, sloshing beatdown by the final minute - Mariah close on Gena, palming her shoulders, shifting to either flank of Gena to get angles on body and back shots. Carey salting it away with shrugging swats against Gena's jugs, and more muscular bludgeoning of Nolin's biceps, beating champ numb and wobbly-butt by the bell. Break: Krusher corner asks Gena if she wants to quit; acts like a splash of cold water, galvanizing champ, bringing her around.

R10: Nolin trudging into Mariah bodying her into her own corner: It's Nolin on Carey, bell to bell. Carey gritting her teeth, slugging up into Nolin's lungs and tummy, but she can't get the champ off her: Gena determined to grind out this final round. Brutal toe-to-toe - Nolin laying in rough with her head, pulling down on Mariah's guard. Nolin short, shrugging and beefy inside - beating relentlessly at Mariah's biceps, chest, chin - shoulder-bumping to reset, then tucking in two-handed to curvy tummy. Both girls landing repeated, possibly unintentional low blows as fatigue takes a toll: both bunching up upon receipt of trunk-taps, lips parted, breathy little gasps and pained winces. Gena puts the leather to Mariah 2 to 1 in a stuffing, panting, sweaty tenth. Comes back UD10 for the winner and STILL welterweight champ - Gena Lee Nolin!

After: Exhausted beauties still jawing, pushing up chest to chest after the announcement - security moving in to separate proud big-girls before extracurriculars can begin. "I worked her over," a battered, shopworn, but pumped Gena Lee boasts in postfight. "I'm just as strong as she is, but I've also got game - I gave her angles and took her breath away. I doubt anyone's ever beaten Mariah Carey the way I did tonight. NEXT!" Nolin at the top of her game, fighting with tremendous confidence: she just might be the most dominant champ in boxing with this performance.
