BOXING AFTER DARK

Before: Former tag team partners now bitter antagonists: it's a story as old as hairpulling itself. "They were good," a BLONDE! mag wrestling-beat correspondent relates. "Sofia was the hammer, Gail was the quarterback and both of them were very strong. They got a lot of good pinfalls on quality girls - Ali Landry, Vanessa Williams, Catherine Zeta Jones - they were very well respected. It'll be interesting to see how Gail does with the gloves and she'd love to post a debut win over Sofia for sure." Vergara in white cashmere crochet bikini (tawdry), white gloves. Gail in black push up bra and panties; mauve cashmere crop top covering arms, scoop front chest (tawdry); black gloves; hair in slick top knot ponytail.

During R1: Gail employing variation of punch-n'-clutch on Sofia - blonde walking brunette into blunt one-twos, clinching quick, muscling Vergara's face into zaftig blonde jugg. Vergara bogging down on the other woman's chest - getting banged up on the way in, then snuggled: cashmere shutout for Gail has her smiling, winking at ringsiders.

R2: O'Grady banging away those intercepting one-twos - Vergara stung, plus she's jug-shy - she's getting halted at a dangerous distance - allowing Gail to clean up heavy hooks. Vergara shaken at the minute mark - put wobbly butt as she blunders into hard right hands, then staggers away from clobbering hooks - Gail hopping over to offense, ponytail tossing. Sofia snarling, but swinging viciously as she's backing up - O'GRADY wanders into a hook, eats a right hand as she's backpedalling; Vergara surges back into the lead. Free swinging brawl staggers along ropes - Sofia pounding away rights and lefts - leather splattering off blonde chassis, chest and skull as O'Grady's made to regret the decision to open up.

R3: Gail regroups - much more disciplined, thoughtful and effective blonde in the third. Vergara hot and bothered, angrily wading in - but no jab, not much head movement: Gail able to track Sofia one-two, then folding her into busty clinches. Time and again, Vergara's picked up hard, then tucked away to jug - O'Grady making glorious use of her generous bosom to frustrate and fatigue her explosive foe. Ref's breaks very heavy lifting indeed - Gail warned for excessive holding as her cashmered arms have to literally be pried away from Sofia's head.

R4,5,6: No change in Vergara - she's getting rung up on the way in, then tucked away to jug: Gail just walking her old partner into breasty confines. Sofia just sick about it - but not adjusting - HER massive jugs jostling about all cranky and frustrated. O'Grady beating Sofia to punches - wearing ballistic brunette down with potshots as well as muscular clinching - peculiar wrestling-minded approach seems to be exquisitely effective against the Colombian Hammer. After six, Sofia's looking shopworn, mouthbreathing, a little wobbly butt: Gail's running away and hiding on all cards.

R7: Vergara frustrations continue - face all shiny from tart blonde combinations - Sofia just not moving her hands when she gets close and not dealing well with Gail's aggressive clinching. O'Grady switching emphasis to Vergara's body as Sofia's coming in slower now, and covering up rather than trying to bang with blonde: Gail working Colombian midsection and ribs with both hands, cleaning up hooks to hulking Vergara hooters as Sofia's form breaks down. Fewer clinches from Gail now - but when she does tie up, she invariably works Sofia's face down into that pushed up cleavage to demoralizing effect.

R8: When Sofia gets off, Gail has to respect it - a little more wide-open trading as Vergara stands and plants. Big, splashy haymakers clout respective knockers and bellies - girls taking turns pulverizing each other as the opponent covers up. O'Grady unable to secure clinches, but she's very effective blocking as well - hunkering down and letting most of Vergara's offense smash off shoulders and guard.

R9: Gail continues to impress - now just taking Sofia apart and vexing her every which way. Punch-n'-clutch still there for blonde - Vergara whining as she's tucked away to jug, walked into ropes for ref's breaks. Stiff combinations picking Sofia up on the way in - exquisite brunette features lumped up nicely by now. Body punching has Vergara tilting forward all cramped; Gail cleaning up hooks on Sofia's jugs - doubling and tripling to part Vergara's lips in outrage.

R10: Sofia STILL dangerous - catches Gail a hook as blonde's stepping out - momentarily unhinging O'Grady's knees as blonde stork-steps around for balance. Gail's crafty clinching bails her out of a tough spot - she ties up, preventing the Vergara finishing run - then starts to have her way with sharp, intercepting one-twos during the second minute. Sofia all busted up, shabby - she's taking hard punches off her face and swaying on the spot - O'Grady really turning the tables and scoring heavily, both hands. Sofia's curvy legs hold her up - but she's a mess late - fielding clobbering weight to her body and head as Gail punches Vergara into stupor at the bell. UD10 wide, Gail O'Grady!

After: Shocking upset as hamhanded Sofia is managed top to bottom by her old partner - O'Grady just working Vergara over like she's read the Colombian's operating manual. We're used to seeing jug in the aftermath of fights: Gail making a conscious decision to get buxom during the course of this fight, really keeping Vergara under threat even during quiet, non-punching moments of the contest. Gail not all that athletic or quick - but delicious judgement shown, good anticipation and farm-girl strength conspiring to disappoint her rival tonight.
