Before: “I have to say that most of my Lookout Boxing fights have been with my dear friend Yvonne Strahovski,” Mary Elizabeth Winstead tells the press. “Missy Peregrym is practically a stranger, though I did fight her back in 2011. So when this holiday card rolled around, I decided I would try fighting Missy again. I will be coming as ‘The Pin-Up Puncher’ and I hope to pin Missy Peregrym up on our ‘Lookout Boxers Defeated Board’ as my latest success boxing success.”

“Gosh, Mary, you and Foxfire have a whole bulletin board devoted to Lookout? We have a whole wall covered with pictures of you and your Foxfire sisters who have fallen to Lookout girls.” An impish Missy Peregrym says when her turn comes. “There’s a whole display of all the times you’ve lost to Vonnie. I am not at all surprised you wanted to try some other Lookout lightweight—even one who stopped you with a TKO2 just a few years back. I am looking forward to adding your picture to our board. Try to smile when I take the picture.”

Mary not looking too pleased about the banter, but she ignores this to ask: “And what are you coming as, Missy? I was hoping you still had one of your gymnast outfits from ‘Stick It’.”

“That would have been a good one,” Missy says, “but I wanted something that would reflect what the fans have been seeing in the past few summers. After all, police officers can be sexy, too.”

“Yes, even you,” Mary says snidely earning her sharp look from the Lookout boxer, “try not to disappoint the fans.”

“I would never do that—which is why I’ll be beating you!” Missy replies with a sickly sweet smile.

On the night of the big Halloween card, Mary makes her way to the ring in her retro red one piece with white polka dots (halter top). She is already wearing her red and white gloves and shadow boxing to show she really is “The Pin-Up Puncher.” It is very crowd pleasing and the fans love it.

Missy appears at the top of ramp in a cloud of blue smoke wearing a police light blue shirt and black pants with a cap. It looks rather conservative, but an instant later she reveals the pants and shirt can be easily removed. She hands the police cap to stablemate Nina Dobrev and then she struts to the ring in a dark blue bikini with gold P.D.. across the front and back. She’s already in her dark blue and gold boxing gloves. She really is a sexy cop and the crowd cheers her loudly to the ring.

“I hear you’re ‘The Pin-Up Puncher’,” Missy tells Mary in the ring. “and I have orders to bring you justice. We got a photo line-up just waiting for you to join.”

Mary isn’t at all flustered: “Sorry, Officer Sexy Missy, but I’m one offender you’re not bringing in. I’m putting YOU up on the Pin-Up Punchers Hall of Shame.”

The crowd laughs, but the referee then takes charge and soon has the fighters instructed and sent to their corners for the bell. It rings and the fight is on!

R1: Missy and Mary close to center ring and then start circling each other with probing shots. Mary then makes a lunge forward trying to fling a right into Missy’s face, but Missy shifts her shoulder to take the right and then flings a right of her own to smash Mary’s jaw and make her spin away. Missy moves crisply to unleash a flurry of punches as Mary tries to regain her footing. Mary struck over the eyes, on the mouth and across the chin. She is weaving badly as Missy shoulders her to the ropes. Mary managing to cover her face but gets her midsection and breasts roasted by Missy’s comprehensive body beatdown. Mary just shuddering under the leather shelling finally thinks to start clinching to break this up. Even so, Mary stuck against the ropes and being pounded for an agonizing amount of time this round. Bell rings to stop the punishment. Mary leans back against the ropes which may be the only things keeping her up. Missy surveys the damage she’s done and then walks briskly to her corner. Mary makes her slow, pained way to her corner, using the top rope to keep herself up. Bad round for the Foxfire lightweight as her Lookout rival wins the round wide.

R2: Foxfire corner people work hard on Mary during the break and she looks bruised, but at least solid on her feet to start the round. Missy on the attack, but this time she finds herself facing strong Winstead jab and much more mobile footwork. Missy having trouble getting her gloves on the now-evasive Mary and she’s taking steady pressure from Mary’s blows to her stomach. Missy slowly getting tipped forward from the belly banging and that brings Mary’s lifting shots into Missy’s face. Missy pulls back with some angry red marks swelling at various points on her face. Missy ducking behind her guard tries to fight Mary off as the Foxfire brunette launches her first serious offensive of the night. Good solid smacking punches from Mary to Missy’s belly and then her breasts. Missy getting some of her jabs onto Mary’s eyebrows and forehead as she comes in, but it doesn’t hold Mary off very well. Mary scores a comeback R2 win on points.

R3: Missy immediately challenges Mary this round as the two clash at midring in a quick flurry of wide, swinging punches. Missy’s bounces off the top of Mary’s finds Missy’s cheekbone in a shot that knocks Missy’s head against her shoulder. Missy reeling from that shot and Mary is on her mercilessly driving Missy back towards the ropes. As she hits the ropes, Missy seems to recover and she jabs furiously to force Mary back. Mary getting hit hard to the face and finally falls back with a little trickle of blood in one nostril. Missy slips away to midring, but Mary quickly in pursuit and they fall into some hot toe to toe action mostly to the body this time. Just short, straight rights and lefts with a few jerking hooks into the underside of tender breasts. Hard, grinding action that rages to the bell. Fighters step back panting hard, sweat just rolling down their hard-used bodies, then both turn away and march to their corners. Judges give it to Mary by a close margin.

R4: This round picks up right where the last one left of as toe to toe body punching in close is the order of the day, but then Mary makes a quick move to her right and heaves in a right that catches Missy square in left eye. Missy shuddering from this one, makes a hasty retreat and Mary is hard after her. Desperate jabbing from Missy as her left eye is suddenly surrounded by angry swelling and Mary is trying to get her glove into that wounded eye again, but Missy’s defenses hold. Mary then goes back to the body hitting Missy’s belly just above the waistband of her trunks again and again. Missy hunching up defensively, but won’t risk that to protect her midsection. Missy using distance to protect her body and she has some success in keeping away from Mary, but Mary winds the round wide at the bell.

R5: Lookout corner now repairs that left eye while Missy tries to steady herself. Once the bell has rung, Missy comes charging out of her corner and challenges Mary Winstead with quick, hard hooks to the belly. Mary doubles up with a gurgle and gets her face worked over, but Mary comes up with an uppercut to the chin that makes Missy stumble back on her tiptoes. Mary tries to shake off Missy’s punches and strike back, but Missy’s defense is hard to penetrate. Mary bobbing, weaving and circling as she looks for openings, but Missy keeping up and countering strongly to keep the Foxfire brunette off-balance. Mary comes in and there is a hot flurry of in close body punching, but this time it is Mary who steps back from the leather storm. She comes back, circling again, but not finding much open. Missy content not to be aggressive again and she takes the round, though it’s close.

R6: Missy going back to Mary’s body to start this round. Mary trying to get at Missy’s body in return, but Missy is moving around a lot and she’s hard to hand on effectively. Mary trying to cut off the ring, but Missy attacks first, this time striking to Mary’s head. Mary faltering for a few moments and gets her belly pounded hard until she can get her jab going again and slowly drives Missy back. Fighters now circling, striking at opportunities, though they aren’t really finding many. Late the round, Missy able to lick Mary’s jaw with a quick right/left and this takes a lot of steam out of Mary’s attack. It is probably what allows Missy to eke out a points win this round.

R7: Mary determined to rally this round and she comes out swinging hard. Missy ducking under the first sweeping right and lefts, but Mary strikes again with a shot to the chin that freezes the Lookout fighter. Then Mary fires a straight right into that left eye and Missy pulls back, but in an orderly retreat. Mary bounding after has trouble as she tries to cut off the ring., Missy jabbing very well, Mary’s face lumping up noticeably , but the Foxfire lightweight keeps coming. Missy taking more punches to the body, but she keeps her face, especially that eye protected to the bell and she’s landing quite a few counters in return. Late in the round, Mary takes one too many shots to the belly and lowers her guard. POW! Mary struck hard to chin. Mary lashes back instinctively and catches Missy upside the head. Both fighters rubbery legged as the bell sounds and they both seems unsteady getting back to their stools.

R8: Missy seems to be the first to recover from last round’s late exchange as she moves briskly off her stool. Mary slow coming out, her guard up and not looking at all aggressive. Missy wastes no time in seizing the momentum. After a few probing shots, Missy senses weakness and charges in going first to the body and then striking hard to the jaw . Mary falls back in disorder as she legs are shaking from that jaw shut. Missy pursuing closely, but Mary manages to steer herself away from the ropes for some time. However, Missy won’t quit and finally cuts off the ring and forces Mary against the strands. Missy leaning in as she powers her shots into Mary’s torso making her whole body tremble with the impacts. Mary gasping, pawing at Missy to get her to back off, finally clinches and referee steps in. Mary not looking good as she tries to stay away from Missy. Missy forcing Mary into fighting in close and Mary’s body is getting hit hard. Only Winstead’s strong legs seem to be keeping her up to the bell. Mary very slow and deliberate returning to her corner. She’s breathing hard and looking wrung-out.

R9: Mary pulls herself together during the break and shows some good defensive jabbing to start this round. Missy studying her opponent, starts striking again and again to that battered midsection. Mary trying to get away, but Missy won’t be shook this time and she hooks harder and harder to belly. Last deep, digging hook bends Mary forward up on her toes and Missy just unloads a flurry of uppercuts into Mary’s chin. Mary goes pinwheeling back, arms waving until she hits the ropes and slides down, landing in a seated position, arms at her sides looking like a puppet whose strings have been cut. Referee moves in to count. Mary seems to hear him and makes an effort to use the ropes to pull herself up, back against the ropes. Just as Mary seems about to stand erect and beat the count, her knees buckle and she is pitched forward landing with her bottom ingloriously pointed skyward just as the referee reaches “…TEN!”
The Winner: Missy Peregrym KO9!

After: Missy wearily raises her right arm in victory as the Lookout Boxing faithful cheer her win. While this is going on Nina Dobrev scampers into the ring to snap some cellphone photos of the fallen Mary Winstead. Mary raises herself up on her elbows and Nina kneels down close to snap some photos of MEW’s banged up face.

“That’s enough, Nina..” Missy Peregrym says clamping a de-gloved hand on Nina’s shoulder.

“Oh, all right, but she deserves something special for giving you that left eye—that's going to be some shiner in the morning,” Nina said standing up.

Missy smiles at Nina : “Yes, but not from you.” Then Missy turns her attention to Mary, who is looking up at her wearily. “Okay, Pin-Up Puncher, on your feet, time you paid for your misdeeds, time to show the fans what happens when you take on the Sexy Cop from Lookout.”

“You better give me a hand, I’m not sure I can make it,” Mary says and Missy helps her to her feet. She takes a firm grip on Mary’s waist with her left arm and they are off around the ring.
Mary stoic as Missy waves like a pageant queen. Nina seen taking still more photos. “I think I will definitely have to get a new wall. I just know these pictures will turn out great.”

Mary just sighs and puts up with it until Missy turns her over to the Foxfire training staff. Then Mary mutters: “I just hate those Lookout girls…When I can fight one again?”

Missy hears this and laughs as she walks away towards her own corner.
