ESPN BOXING AFTER DARK SPECIAL

BEFORE: "I'm surprised Miranda is actually a FCBA licensed fighter! She fits the ####ty ring girl image much better if you ask me!", Danielle Campbell is quick to dismiss the prospects of her tonight's opponent but meets instant reply suggesting the former iCarly lead cast has plenty of mean intentions left in her and wants to make amends for her recent loss to Michelle Keegan as soon as possible: "Danielle is such a wimp! She's like a pudgy little #### who deserves nothing else than a proper face rearrangement! And I'll rearrange her face alright! Just wait and see!"
Cosgrove's loss to Keegan doesn't look so bad anymore following the English brunette's epic rise to the JMD title just a couple of days ago but several pundits have written her off already and Campbell's Pretty Little Punchers backing should be enough to cause her more than it's share of problems. Still, Miranda tries to pluck her gloves into Dani's face during the introductions and looks as fired up as ever before a potential career-defining fight. "Go and call Jane Levy so she can wipe the Asylum boards with you!", Campbell scolds her just before the bell and it's rather obvious these two girls will never get along...
Miranda Cosgrove wears a pink bikini set with black trim and pink gloves. Raven-black hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Danielle Campbell wears a neon green bikini set and silver gloves. Dark brown hair tied in a loose bun at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.
Round 1:
Both girls waste no time whatsoever to trigger a classic flyweight punchfest and clearly plan to destroy each other as soon as possible; Miranda lands the biggest punch of the opening minute and whacks Danielle on the nose to sink her briefly but that's enough for a head hunting follow up which dissects the guard for good and sends the PLP girl on the run. Miranda's very chaotic in pursuit but Campbell looks a bit spooked after soaking up that big shot and fails to tame the hassling; what's more she wobbles back to the ropes and enables her foe to rush in with more facial leather that leave early bruises and make her scowl in discomfort. Cosgrove gets vocal in her execution and keeps her attacks upstairs, chapter one of the facial rearrangement goes according to iCarly's best selling scripts and Campbell can barely catch her breath at the end of the round.
Round 2:
That was the best start Cosgrove could have hoped for but a sudden change of pace from DC catches her out early in the second round; the PLP brunette ducks underneath a high approach and slams a series on the guts to bend Miranda and dump her into an uppercut follow up. The boot's on the other foot now and Danielle gets all vocal while ripping through the fellow brunette's mitts to snap her head back and send her sagging on the heels. Cosgrove bellows out into a tight earmuff but prevents her raging foe from pounding her back to the ropes and halts the barrage with a wild hook that meets Campbell's right eye on the two minute mark. DC slows down as a result of that shot and settles for a single hand trade off; Cosgrove can't find the precision to fully turn the momentum back into her favor and a late hook on the liver sinks her with a whimper once more but DC runs out of time to make further inroads.
Round 3:
Another mindless bash opens the third round and now Miranda's face gets roughed up as Campbell slices her mitts more effectively and clubs the lips into a visible swelling. Cosgrove aches out and tries to make a run for it; she gets nailed with a hook on the ribcage though and stumbles into the ropes where the PLP brunette lashes out at her from both sides and allthough she misses several of her punches, a nasty left hook finds the eye and a follow up from the right nails Miranda on the chin to sink her behind an earmuff cover. DC shoves her briefly stunned rival butt-in-ropes and works around the elbows for more success; she fails to really hurt the iCarly actress but shuts down any counterpunching response and leaves Cosgrove in a frozen defence simply soaking up as much leather as possible. Even Ariana Grande would be upset over those tactics and there's no wonder DC refuses to let go off her foe after the bell and bumps into her breasts with a late hook that earns her a lecture from the ref!
Round 4:
More mean girls on display; the head hunting dominates the opening minute and while both of them sport several bruises already it's Miranda who manages to knock Danielle about and sink her with a belting hook on the liver area. DC didn't see that coming and while she steps backwards, the iCarly brunette romps into her guts and pounds her back to the turnbuckle afterwards. Campbell refuses to bellow out into a turtle-like defence to follow Miranda's woeful tactics from the previous round but she just can't swing quick enough to tame Cosgrove's barrage and eats a handful of leather in the second minute that renders her lips into a swollen mess and sinks her on soft knees. Miranda's all guns blazing and pounding clear into the open space, snapping Campbell's head back & forth to the point even the loose bun can't take it anymore and results in Danielle's long hair falling down on her back... loud gasps and moans in the dying seconds; Cosgrove gassed out and slumped on her opponent's shoulder and DC just waits for the bell with her face now looking much worse to wear... give these girls a pad on the back for the effort and Miranda has enough bad temper in her to spike the breasts herself sending Campbell into her corner to adjust her bikini... quite frankly DC looks extremely worn out by this terrible round and that's the last thing the PLP crew expected to see...
Round 5:
Campbell's slow to get up for the fifth and Cosgrove duly buries her under a leather frenzy pounding the lacklustre opponent back to the ropes where she avoids the high earmuff and wrenches the guts instead... all Miranda from there on, she spikes the midsection like there's no tomorrow and makes DC groan out in pain... "Just chop her in half!", some people in the audience are happy to see Cosgrove absolutely destroy the other girl but as the raven-haired actress leans forward she crashes into Danielle's chin and has to adjust her stance... a wild swing from DC then nails her on the nose and whips on the heels instantly which suddenly results in Campbell bouncing off the ropes with a loud screams... SHE HOOKS UP ON THE EAR and pulls the plug on Cosgrove who goes all shimmy shake in a flash... a hollow look in the eyes indicates that Cosgrove just got nailed big time and DC adds a bolting uppercut on the jaw TO SEND THE ICARLY'S FAVORITE DOWN.... what a shocking turn of events! Miranda goes down flat on her back and buries her face in the gloves before bursting into spasms... hear those cries now!!! Campbell almost collapses over her as she wanders about into her corner and it looks like she was barely able to see what happened there.... and the count passes Miranda by... the raven-haired girl just never embraced that punch on the ear.... KO5 Danielle Campell!!!
AFTER: Classic come-from-behind victory for DC who doesn't have much presence to even celebrate that success and simply leans over the ropes still looking more mangled up than the girl she just send down for the count... The Pretty Little Punchers snatch the robbery of the month candidate as Miranda was on her way to maul Danielle up very badly indeed and perhaps hand her the Beatdown of the CW!!! It all looked so good but turned sour very quickly! That's a real puzzle for potential future opponents Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande among others... Danielle finally smiles back at her entourage after a lenghty gasping recovery and poor Miranda looks like she's gonna cry any minute now... she refuses to stay in the ring and runs off before the verdict is announced and even the Boxing World Online might not predict another Cosgrove victory anytime soon... because this fight was hers to lose ever since the third round and well, she promptly lost it!
Final result: Danielle Campbell def. Miranda Cosgrove KO5.
