Liz, unable to procure fights and get respect from American media takes a very risky bout against a hard punching, busy body-worker - just the sort of fighter who can give a counter puncher problems. Unfortunately for Judd, an accurate southpaw slickster with height, reach and savvy had all the answers tonight.

The first minute was all Judd - head down, squared up on Liz at the ropes, hustling punches to the hips and gut of the Brit as Hurley covered and twisted to blunt the incoming. But midway through, that tight, southpaw right uppercut from LIz nearly tore Judd's head off, catching her clean in between her own punching and rendering her numb for the rest of the fight. Hurley went to work with that licking right hook under the elbow, straight lefts on the mouth and that greasy little right uppercut to work Judd from in close, harming her at the ropes to end the first. Ashley never recovered - she staggered out for the second and fell victim to Hurley's slapping right jab and shoulder feints. Dropped by a spearing straight left at the end of the first minute - Judd would beat the count, but have the fight waved off as the ref stepped in to stop the beating.
