BEFORE: Ashley Mulheron has caught a nagging Japanese fever so far this season, first her flyweight title quest was brutally ended by then-champion Mikie Hara and later Maria Ozawa added more insult to injury which left the Scottish blonde working her divisional status from the proverbial scratch. Likewise Rhiannon Fish who was knocked out by Shona McGarty before losing the all-important 'Home & Away' grudge fight against fellow Australian Samara Weaving last month. Both girls find themselves in a deep hole but one of them is bound to get out it to salvage something from a difficult 2015 campaign here in O2 Arena tonight.

Ashley Mulheron wears a red bikini and black gloves. Rhiannon Fish wears her lucky charm black, white & yellow schemed bikini and pink gloves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Rhiannon's clearly up for some proper pounding as she tears into the blonde with a hooking barrage that catches Ashley off guard and snaps her head backwards repeatedly in the opening minute. That Weaving disaster must be playing on her mind and it's too much for Mulheron to handle at this stage, the blonde covers up in a deep earmuff instead of perhaps lashing out at the raging brunette who keeps picking her off and drives back to the ropes with more heavy leather. Ashley seeks a clinch to tame the onslaught but gets belted across the tummy and wobbles forward into a piercing uppercut that dissects the guard and nails the aching Scot on the chin. She bounces off the ropes to find another poweful hook on the brow ridge and the opening charge is completed when Fish whips another hook on the left temple TO SEND MULHERON DOWN ON HER SIDE... what a frantic start for the Aussie actress who screams out in delight as the KO demons stack up for the embattled former title challenger... Ashley seems totally shocked by that vicious rampage and even though she beats the count at seven, she remains glued to the ropes and allows Rhiannon to land more clean punches on the cheeks rendering the guard useless... referee has to haul the brunette off her opponent at the bell and that's the best start to the "Road to Recovery" PPV the O2 Arena crowd would have imagined!

Round 2:
Ashley remains lethargic in her movements and falls into a quick hooking barrage again as Rhiannon romps clear to the head hunting galore and whips the Scottish foe on her heels before driving a nasty hook on the liver area that bends Mulheron forward amid a painful scowl... Left cross snaps her head back and a right handed follow up bursts the brow ridge into a visible swelling spinning the hapless blonde back to the ropes in the proccess. Fish pounces on the vulnerable prey and hammers along to disfigure Ashley's face thereafter... heavy leather display shuts Mulheron off cold and leaves her trembling on her feet already! Rhiannon leans on her evern further and shifts into an uppercut series that connects with the chin all too easily and whips Mulheron against the ropes which paves the way for the brunette to embark on some chest muggin' and just dump the lacklustre Scot into more aching dismay. Fish seeks a second knockdown or even an outright stoppage but Ashley somehow hangs on upright despite looking completely out of her depth and the Lioness Club's coach Gina Wild is as shocked as anyone seeing her protegee in such a fine form just weeks after the Weaving horror show.

Round 3:
Mulheron's urged into some kind of response but the close range tangle ends in tears when she loops her punches too wide an falls into a brutal uppercut on the chin that wobbles her on the heels and has Fish thumping the cheeks thereafter. Ashley reels back to the ropes and ducks underneath the hooking put away at the last second but almost trips over her own feet in escape and fails to prevent Rhiannon picking her off in mid range. The pursuit is on and Ashley wanders along the ropes throwing meaningless shots from the back foot as the Aussie finally applies some common sense and slows things down still having the Scottish foe on the run. No need to risk a sudden haymaker turnaround, Mulheron was fighting for the flyweight title earlier this year after all, and despite her lingering advantage, Fish prefers to see out the clock with Ashley still covered up and unable to find her groove.

Round 4:
A hectic clash in close range brings Ashley some much needed success as she snaps Rhiannon's head back having ducked underneath a looping approach. Mulheron's winning mentally was badly hampered by the two Japanese defeats but she's more than qualified to knock the Aussie about and she finally punishes the midriff too shutting Fish down for a clinching respite. A quick bump off follows and the blonde moves on the front leg catching her foe over the top and forcing a retreat. Rhiannon tries to send anything from the back foot but the Scot roars into a jabbing frenzy and bashes her way into the brow ridges ripping chunks of confidence from the brunette's attire. Fish checks out onto the ropes and moans in pain as Ashley keeps working her over until she gasses out briefly in the hectic drill and gets stunned by a late hook on the eye, both girls need a breather after this one but Mulheron's back in contention and looks more animated of the two during the interval.

Round 5:
Forget all the tactics now, both girls drop the defensive ideas and if the O2 Arena needed a classic flyweight war of attrition to start the card, then Ashley and Rhiannon just answer the bell and whoop each other into a roughed up mess come the second minute. It's almost a "one-and-done" affair as even Georgie Thompson begins to wonder if there's any comeback for a fallen girl - whoever that might be is still unknown. The furious display wobbles Fish more often and leaves her with a badly cut brow ridge but she sinks Ashley with a crushing hook on the chin and emerges on top of a late flurry where she simply pounds the blonde back to the ropes and hammers it upstairs to destroy the Scottish guard and shut Mulheron's left eye in the proccess. A very ugly scene there as Ashley screams out in horror while her head cranks backwards like crazy but she somehow hangs on until the bell and Fish just can't put her away despite all the facial punishment. Quite frankly Ashley looks toast here, she almost goes down on her face after getting bumped by the Aussie brunette and groans out during the interval like she's got nothing left in the tank anymore.

Round 6:
Both girls display a lot of damage but Mulheron's on a funereal pace across the canvas and gets smoked by a vicious combo that tears more skin on the swollen shut eye and leaves her at mercy of Rhiannon's brutal execution... Another bursting series between the mitts crashes into Mulheron's face and just pulls the plug on her come the minute mark... Ashley bellows out onto the ropes but has nothing to give anymore and when her arms slide by the waist, Fish hauls in the home run and blasts one cross route on the mangled up face too many... MULHERON GOES DOWN ON HER KNEES and collapses flat on her face slo-motion style moments later... she's down spread eagle there and unable to respond anymore... the count is promptly stopped when the ref realizes the Scottish girl is a no-go... KO6 Rhiannon Fish!!!

AFTER: That was downright gruesome finish to the highly anticipated bout and Rhiannon Fish escapes the negative seasonal record reality by just thumping the otherwise impressive Ashley Mulheron to the canvas. Twelve months ago the result could have been very much different as the Scottish blonde was looking at the flywieght crown but even the Aussie actress proved too much to handle after the Hara/Ozawa disaster. Chelsee Healey served as a mere breakfast snack in the so-called mean time and if the BBU TV rumours are correct, then Emily Atack would like to rip both Mulheron sisters to shreds sooner rather than later. Well, after Ashley's terrible demise here in O2 Arena tonight, those plans might require a change.

No word on Rhiannon's plans for the rest of the year, the brunette bombshell is more concerned by the busted up brow ridge she suffered tonight and looks upset while talking to coach Gina Wild. She was wrestled away from the fallen Mulheron who leaves the ring on a stretcher and is in no shape to endure any post-fight antics. Guess even a wonderful victory over a former title challenger doesn't erase the 'Home & Away' demons Samara Weaving unleashed on her last month? Rhiannon was clearly in the mood to destroy her opponent whoever entered the post-Weaving fray but she'll need to apply these grudge tactics more often if she's destined to remain in the 110 lbs spotlight.

Final result: Rhiannon Fish def. Ashley Mulheron KO6.
