BEFORE: Inna comes off a bruising loss to Vanessa White but that was nothing compared to the beatdown Mandy Capristo suffered at the hands of Lacey Banghard back in May. The German singer got absolutely smoked by the buxom glamour model and was lucky to escape the fight without an injury however her mental strenght might have been permanently damaged and according to Charlie Webster this is a perfect opportunty for the Romanian to pour more salt into the blonde's wounds.
The KO Club support should help Capristo to chase the Banghard demons away tonight and she's got both coach Gina Wild and stablemate Jeanette Biedermann in her corner for advice. Biedermann's just days away from flying over to Japan to contest the former flyweight champion Mikie Hara but when the German pride is at stake, she's willing to help her embattled compatriot regardless of her own training regime.
Inna wears a black bikini set and red gloves. Raven-black hair tied in a curled ponytail. Mandy Capristo wears a golden bikini set and black gloves. Blonde hair tied in a high ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.
Round 1:
It's a feisty start from both girls but Inna picks off her opponent better in the opening minute and cracks several clean shots to the cheeks to slow Mandy down and make her cover up down the stretch despite plenty of early aggression from the blonde singer. She whips Inna on the temples but gets caught on the mouth instead and the brunette simply moves into her stride bouncing off the otherwise pretty face far too often to keep the Barnet crowd happy. Mandy misfires in mid distance and has trouble matching Inna's agile approach so there's little surprise the blonde ponytail spins around her neck as the brunette drives all her efforts upstairs and sends Capristo into a hectic escape come the final minute, outworking the German wholesale in the proccess.
Round 2:
Inna looked really good in that opening round but just never found a big punch to sink the blonde on her knees; the same story follows in the second where the Romanian keeps the German subdued in mid distance and beats her punch for punch albeit unable to trap her along the ropes. Mandy struggles to embrace the bubbling opponent and cuts thin air most of the time before clipping the temples a couple of times which only fuels Inna's aggression. Both singers bump off in the middle of the ring after the brunette lashed out with a heavy uppercut and a sudden counter brings Capristo a much needed success when she slams a quick hook on the nose to wobble her opponent backwards however she misplaces the follow up and gets clinched as both girls end up wrestling on the ropes at the bell.
Round 3:
Inna storms out of her stool and blitzes the high guard to snap Mandy's head repeatedly in the opening minute and simply stun her with the uptempo swing. Finally there's a switch on the body too which roots the blonde to the spot and has her groan once the brunette harpoons the liver area. Capristo tries to shut her foe down by locking a clinch but fails to grasp the fast moving brunette and eats a left/right combo over the top instead which is duly followed by a right handed uppercut on the jaw THAT SENDS THE GERMAN TUMBLING TO THE CANVAS... that sucks the life out of Barnet crowd's support as Mandy remains sitting on her heels until the count reaches eight and looks generally shaken by the series that send her down... Inna bunny hops around in the corner before storming back out at the wounded blonde and torches her high guard again bumping Capristo into the ropes and rallying with a leather storm to finish the job.... Mandy caves in butt-in-ropes and looks set to survive the barrage but then gets whooped on the solar plexus and cries out in pain... Inna blasts another left/right combo on the nose and pins the hapless German against the turnbuckle but the clock expires just in time to save Mandy from a looming disaster. And the Romanian's upset over the lucky escape!
Round 4:
Neither Gina Wild nor Jeanette Biedermann can ignite any life into Mandy during the interval and the blonde singer is simply bulldozed with a facial barrage early in the fourth round when Inna hammers along to maul Capristo's face and wrench her butt-in-ropes again. The arms keep getting lower and lower while the aches are getting louder and Inna powers ahead into a series of uppercuts that bounces off the jaw and sends the younger singer into a steep demise... Mandy closes her eyes and is battered into stupor standing while Inna keeps plugging the vicious leather... that's over twenty seconds without a reply from the blonde singer AND THE REF STEPS IN TO SAVE CAPRISTO FROM FURTHER PUNISHMENT... TKO4 Inna!!!
AFTER: That's a genuine upset to begin the card and the KO Club is absolutely silenced seeing how Inna just beat Mandy Capristo like a training sack. The battered blonde is escorted away to the locker room quickly and doesn't seem to know much about her whereabouts. The beatdown Lacey Banghard handed her back in the summer looks to be still bothering her mentally since Inna's aggressive approach was enough to dissect all the promise shown vs Mutya Buena and made Mandy look very mediocre at best. And the Romanian singer just isn't that good of a fighter to turn the highly praised German into a punchbag so easily. Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton are the veterans on the Lioness Club flyweight roster but Mandy just hasn't kicked into any gear this season to make them think about a retirement soon and remains third string at best probably even losing to Jeanette Biedermann down to experience. Things can only improve next year!
