Before:
Despite only being a few days old, tensions between some of the egos within the This is Glamour stable are reported to be showing already. Given the bitter rivalry they displayed during their glamour modelling careers, bringing Lucy Pinder and Keeley Hazell together in the same stable was always likely to be an explosive combination. As the girls vied to be Melinda Messenger’s top fighter, a furious verbal spat between them in the gym is reported to have been resolved for the moment by Pinder’s challenging of Hazell to prove her worth against the BBU’s Sam Cooke. Pinder herself had handed Cooke a third round knockout in 2013, contributing to the latter’s 2-3 record, and the challenge is for Hazell (1-5) to do the same.

For their part, Hazell and Cooke both wanted the fight to go ahead at the earliest opportunity. Having both won the Sun newspaper’s Page 3 Idol contest in separate years, both girls wanted a worldwide audience to judge who has the better curves as well as the opportunity to put the other girl in her place.

This Bantanweight fight is scheduled for ten rounds and is taking place at the MEN arena in Cooke’s home town of Manchester. Cooke has her ringwalk first and removes her gown to reveal her 30F-25-35 figure clothed in only a straw coloured bikini. Hazell is next and theatrically disrobes in front of her rival until her 32F-24-32 figure is left in only a white bikini.

Round 1
Hazell goes on the front foot at the bell and starts throwing tentative crosses, as though she is trying to slap Cooke. Cooke dodges a couple of these before stepping in and throwing a cracking overhead right that backs her rival up against the ropes. Keeley Hazell is in trouble..big trouble…she is backed up and Cooke is trying to finish this right here. Hazell’s head gets flicked back. She is still standing..just. The bell goes and they keep fighting…Incredible drama…A full five seconds after the bell, the pair are still fighting and their corners enter the ring to separate them.

Round 2
The round eventually starts. The delay has probably helped Hazell more as she looked like she was struggling in the first round. She starts the round better and lands a right hand, as she finally remembers she is in a boxing ring and not catfighting outside a nightclub. It’s not long before Cooke has her opponent reeling again with a huge uppercut. What a shot that was. Back comes Hazell and rocks Cooke with a left hook. Suddenly the favourite, Sam Cooke, is looking vulnerable. The fighters clinch in the middle of the ring as the clock ticks down. Cooke seems intent on using her rack to force Hazell back. Hazell is happy to cede ground but to attack Cooke’s ribs.

Round 3
A left hook from Hazell is countered. The opening minute is level. A big, big right hand from Sam Cooke shakes the legs of Keeley Hazell, and she stumbles back towards the ropes. Left hook, right cross from Cooke. Hazell leans her head back out of the ring in order to avoid the shots. The referee steps in to split them at the bell. Both girls want to break one another. The dislike is genuine.

Round 4
All commentators have Cooke leading 2-1 as we enter the fourth. A left jab and then a right hand from the harder working Cooke do not land. She then jumps in with a right. Hazell throws a right hand from behind her guard. It lands a little and the power sends Cooke backwards. A pinging right hand on the counter from Hazell lands at the bell. She is behind but this is anyone’s fight.

Round 5
After Sam Cooke’s whirlwind start, who would have bet on the fight entering a fifth round? Both girls seem reluctant to acknowledge the other’s power. A left jab and a right hand catch the gloves of Hazell. Hazell lands a right which turns Sam Cooke’s legs to jelly. She tumbles into the ropes. She tries to get up but succeeds in only tangling her arms in the bottom rope.

Keeley Hazell wins with a fifth round knockout.

After
Reporter:”Congratulations Keeley…your first win in the BBU. Things looked spicy at the end of Round 1. It looked as though the dislike between you two is genuine.”

KH:”There was an accidental clash of heads at the bell. She swung for my ribs as I was turning away for my corner. Naturally, I wasn’t going to stand for that and hit her back before we were pulled apart."

Reporter:”That is your first win since 2011. Lucy Pinder was here tonight. What do you say to her regarding becoming the captain of This is Glamour?”

KH:”I’m not here to talk about Lucy Pinder, but if she wanted to check me out in the flesh at the expense of her own JMD fight against Celeste Bonin then who am I to complain.”

Reporter:”What is next for Keeley Hazell?”

KH:”Amii Grove has been shooting her mouth off on Twitter. Is she is up to it, let’s see her fists do the talking.”
