BEFORE: Georgia May Foote was bitterly disappointed by losing to Heidi Range in Barnet last month and even the blonde's upset win over Dannii Minogue didn't make her feel any better: "A win is a win and I need that!", she tells Georgie Thompson and vows to beat Fearne Cotton up to finally break her lousy streak which dates back to March 2013 when she last exited the ring as a winner. In fact Thompson supports Georgia's bid as she loathes Fearne's guts herself and openly avoids giving the fellow presenter a chance to speak to the audience which earns her a massive death stare from the 34 year old blonde. Looks like we haven't heard the last of these two yet but Cotton needs to focus on Foote - coming fresh off second place in "Strictly Come Dancing" TV show who's tired of her short-comings and pumps herself up in the Beevers corner under a close scrutiny from head coach Denise Lewis.
Georgia May Foote wears a red basque top, black knickers and white gloves. Long dark brown hair in loose cascades. Fearne Cotton wears a black basque top, matching knickers and silver gloves. Shoulder lenght blonde hair tied in a small braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.
Round 1:
Cotton rips some quick shots to the brunette's body but gets caught upstairs and Foote really means business here from the word go as she buries the blonde under a steady barrage crashing into Fearne's face repeatedly and just making the older girl cease all the real estate before the minute mark. She whoops a brutal cross hooking double which dumps Cotton on the ropes with eyes wide open and before she can even catch her breath Georgia just riffles in with a left/right combo on the nose and finishes the drive with a left hook on the ear... COTTON SLIDES DOWN ON HER SIDE just getting ragdolled to the floor - and that makes Georgie Thompson the happiest person inside the Cardiff Arena judging by the reaction. Not many people expected such a storm from the petite actress but she's really pumped for some punishment and demands Fearne to get up so she can resume where she left off. Cotton looks more shocked than hurt and launches herself back on her feet at seven only to have Georgia punching her over the top immediately after the referee's 'box' call. All the heat aims at the blonde's head which springs back & forth and the comeback plans are shattered in the final minute when Foote bumps into the brow ridges and gives the older opponent a nasty swelling virtually on the fly... Fearne's trapped butt-in-ropes and basically lucky to avoid another meeting with the boards but Foote hits the red mist mode and has to be dragged away by the ref at the bell.
Round 2:
That's not what Fearne expected on her comeback but things only get worse for her when Georgia traps her with a speedy rush and dissects the high guard to thump more leather on the already swollen lips. Cotton's head rocks back and she's shut down completely in the middle of the ring just soaking up relentless leather and unable to escape the heat... Foote seemingly wants to rearrange her face but she finally shows some versatility along the way and belts the blonde across the liver area WHICH SENDS FEARNE DOWN ON HER KNEES with a loud scream.... that was almost too easy for the brunette who struts back to her corner where she teases the fallen reporter to beat the count again... Fearne needs more time to recover and she's gingerly up at nine looking hollow in the eyes but hey, it's Boxing Day PPV and the fans would be disappointed if the ref called it off just like that... Fearne stumbles forward and it's clear that she's dazed by the double knockdown already but Foote doesn't care about this whatsoever and blasts another cross hook on the brow ridge before one last drilling strike on the navel JACK-KNIVES the hapless blonde flat on her face again... and there's no way back from that! KO2 Georgia May Foote in ultra one-sided fashion!!!
AFTER: Georgia yells out in joy and stomps her foot against Fearne's back before the ref shoves her away and signals for the medical crew as the blonde TV presenter looks to be knocked out cold here. That was extremely effective performance from the Coronation Street actress though who really channelled her dark side against a rusty veteran who never got going. Lasting eight rounds vs Range is no mean feat for Georgia who definitely used some endurance skills from the set of "Strictly Come Dancing" but she vows to emerge as a spoiler in the flyweight pack and openly calls out Emilie Ullerup in the ring which sounds like a bad idea given the height difference between the two women. Those plans may still change but for now Georgia's found the winning ways again and she couldn't be more happy about it.
Spare a thought for Fearne though, her reputation might have suffered a terminal damage after tonight's blow out but it would be sad to see her leave BBU on a stretcher and Denise van Outen openly urges FCUK owner Katie Price not to shelve the blonde vixen just yet.
Final result: Georgia May Foote def. Fearne Cotton KO2.
