BEFORE: Christine Bleakley should be called Mrs. Lampard now as she married the Chelsea legend just before Christmas and who needs honeymoon when you can celebrate the official WAG status with a BBU sanctioned boxing affair? And the Ulster brunette doesn't take it easy whatsoever - which clearly surprises Georgie Thompson and most of the Cardiff Arena crowd - by throwing down the gauntlet to the recent lightweight title challenger, Alaina Huffman.

"Christine would be better off fighting Sarah Jayne Dunn rather than one of the hardest punching women in the division and if she thinks Huffman's a broken fighter after the pounding she took from Doutzen Kroes than she's as stupid as I always suspected", Denise van Outen is a life-long critic of the fellow presenter but even she must admit this is a very interesting fight which perfectly fits the high-profile nature of the entire card.

Alaina Huffman wears a red bikini top, white hotpants and white gloves with the red maple leaf painted on them. Sleek shoulder lenght blonde hair. Christine Bleakley wears a navy blue bikini top, black knickers and blue gloves. Raven-black hair tied in a custom ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Christine's up for some good blonde pounding and splits Alaina's mitts early to connect with her face; the Canadian is clearly surprised that the Ulster rival jumps into such a speedy rush and struggles to embrace the ferocity of it reeling onto the ropes in the proccess. Bleakley maintains the pressure and fires upstairs repeatedly but Huffman is capable of locking down the guard thereafter and prevents the presenter from doing any serious damage. She loops punches from behind the guard but fails to break free from the uneasy position and has the brunette switching on her guts in the final minute which undeniably secures the opening contest into her favor.

Round 2:
More hassling upstairs from the brunette and Alaina remains half-hearted in her approach either looking to outlast the Ulster girl or just being confident in surviving it unscathed. Despite all her efforts Christine bounces off the high guard too often to make an impact and gets clinched briefly before the blonde shoves her away and almost beats for a heavy punch over the top. Bleakley wobbles to her heels but is fortunate that the Canadian doesn't leap into immediate follow up and allows her to circle back into safety. Duck & weave display dominates the final minute and neither of these two experienced women is looking to hurry up whatsoever which suggests this bout can last for quite a while.

Round 3:
Alaina's got a mean punch in her but often takes time before enforcing her presence and for whatever reason Christine refuses to run away with the scorecards during this lean Canadian period. Denise van Outen thinks that Frank pretty much wasted her newlywed wife too much over the Christmas break and that affects her tactics but the hunt for a single haymaker punch in the third round leaves the crowd thirsty for more actual fireworks despite both camps being visibly satisfied with the things are going thus far. Team Canada coach Amanda Tapping and Lioness Club's Gina Wild are both nodding their heads in approval but that's not what the crowd wanted to see anyway.

Round 4:
So just exactly who's afraid of whom more? Alains flicks a couple of hooks upstairs and nearly catches the brunette's temples but wobbles too far forward and gets clobbered on the jugs as the Ulster girl moves on the front leg and smirks a jabbing series across her mouth. Huffman sinks on her knees and that's a rare sight for such a successful fighter but perhaps the Kroes demons have taken their toll on her confidence and Bleakley bumps her off towards the ropes where she keeps firing over the top to shut the blonde down and blast a delightful cross hooking route on the brow ridges to leave the actress moaning and slumped against the turnbuckle. And that's a worrying sight for coach Tapping who doesn't look so relaxed anymore.

Round 5:
Christine ups the tempo trying to finally shake the rusty feeling off this bout and beats the blonde for a right-on-right duell which snaps Alaina's head back on the spot and bellows her out reeling onto the ropes... another cross hook bursts the guard aside and Bleakley delivers the biggest punch of the night slamming a right hook into the blonde's nose... Alaina sinks on her knees with eyes closed and a loud yelp but she can't react in time to prevent the brunette from blasting a right uppercut on the jaw THAT SENDS HER TUMBLING ON HER BACKSIDE moments later... this could be the turning point of a hitherto lethargic show but will the Canadian recover in time to make a name for herself? She's up at eight and stares down a raging brunette who leaps into a jabbing flurry upstairs and shoves the lacklustre Huffman into the ropes pounding away in mindless fashion and giving the younger opponent a fat lip for her trouble. Alaina's shut completely down and must soak up the stinking feeling that she's playing second fiddle to the Ulster WAG which leaves many fans in Cardiff shaking their heads at half-distance.

Round 6:
More pressure from the brunette who blocks an early Canadian charge and it looks like Huffman waited too long to make an impact and doesn't have strenght and stamina neccessary to dominate the high-flying presenter. Christine loops a steady overhand jabbing rush to punish the blonde's temples and spin her head side-to-side before a solid thump on the jugs reels her onto the ropes yet again. This is just a terrible show from the former lightweight title challenger and Bleakley ravages her midsection thereafter taking full advantage of the cumbersome performance. Alaina survives the beating with a late clinch but looks desperately out of breath and shakes her head in frustration trying to understand why she just can't fight back into contention against a solid but not jaw-dropping opponent.

Round 7:
Huffman has nothing to lose anymore as she's fallen way back on the cards and must chase the brunette down to even make this comeback possible.. but she only clips Christine's jugs and puts too much weight forward eating a counter hook on the nose in the proccess which leads into a vicious left/right combo blasting her on the temples again... as durable as the Canadian is, she simply reels on her heels and can't keep her gloves high enough to prevent a close range rush that swivels her head back & forth amid a quick Ulster uppercut supply... Huffman staggers back onto the ropes and gets hammered over the top with Bleakley screaming out while just dissecting the high guard and rocking the blonde into stupor... Alaina sinks on her knees with eyes closed and yelps in pain but offers nothing back and when Bleakley delivers one hook on the nose too many and makes the blonde scream out her loudest yet THE REF CHARGES IN AND HAULS THE ULSTER GIRL OFF HER PREY!!! Denise van Outen thinks this was premature but Huffman looks to be clearly dazes by all the punches she's taken tonight and even coach Tapping doesn't object to the stoppage... TKO7 Christine Bleakley!!!

AFTER: It seems like Christine will have plenty to celebrate on her honeymoon and she's visibly pumped up after stopping one of the most fearsome women in the division. However she refuses to have her names involved in the title picture and indicates that the lightweight is in very good hands with Doutzen Kroes at the wheel. Denise van Outen isn't surprised that her arch nemesis stays away from the Dutch model's radar and predicts a landslide beating Christine would have needed months to recover from: "She's still a tramp but actually has some brains. Kroes would have destroyed her in no time and why bother to risk your health when she's a proud WAG bimbo now?"

Meanwhile it's a shocking result for Team Canada as it's arguably best fighter simply never got going tonight and one must wonder whether reducing Alaina's schedule to just a couple of fights in 2015 hasn't put her once towering stock at risk? There's every chance she recovers from this epic downfall to become a relevant force in the division but for now both Alaina and coach Amanda Tapping are simply lost for words and look at each other in silence trying to figure out what exactly just happened.

Final result: Christine Bleakley def. Alaina Huffman TKO7.
