Lacey Chabert vs. Kristen Bell (At Christkindlmarkt, Bethlehem, PA.)
(Words: Front Street / Results: Lookout!)

BEFORE:

Beautiful blonde Krissy Bell is nearing 70 FCBA fights, and, when you fight that long, you create rivals. Bell has several, and they're elite-level girls. Kunis, Carter, Panettiere, Kreuk. But, Krissy also has a bete noire, and her name is Lacey Chabert. Chabert has tortured Bell, taking four of five from the proud blonde, including ending her first title reign, always seeming to be able to overcome her slick boxing with aggression, physicality, and power. But, on this night, under the big tent at Christkindlmarkt, with the spires of the old Steelworks looming outside, Bell vows it's going to be different.

"I know what everyone is saying," the blonde says, shaking her head. "She's too physical for me. But, she's not. And, I'm going to prove it tonight."

"Krissy doesn't learn, does she?" asks a smiling Lacey. "I keep knocking her down and beating her up and she keeps coming back for more. Well, tonight, she's going to get more of the same. And, who knows? This elf bikini MIGHT result in a wardrobe malfunction...and I might have a little fun."

ROUND ONE:

Bell sets the tone early, and it's about boxing. Krissy has one of the best jabs in the division, and she puts it on display immediately. It's all about touching Lacey, clanging that jab off her forehead, her cheeks, the side of her head. Pop. Pop. Pop. The left continues to land. Chabert wants to come forward, wants to pressure, but she's being slowed by the left, just as the blonde wants. Kristen isn't dominating, but she's managing. Managing Lacey's aggression. Oh, Chabert's getting some work done. She's getting some power punches home, especially to the body, but she can't get in rhythm and she can't sustain pressure. Again, just as the blonde wants. As the round goes on, iKristen's getting the better of things. She's boxing her brunette well, showing the ring generalship, the class, and the slickness that are her strengths. At the bell, it's fairly close, mind, but it's Bell, who walks to her corner with the 10-9 lead.

ROUND TWO:

That managing stuff? That's all over now. This is a much more aggressive Lacey, and the brunette is getting after Kristen in a big way. Bell willing to go to the defensive early, not going to get into a firefight with the power-punching brunette in the second round, because, there are a lot of ways that can go, and not many of them end well for the blonde. Instead, Krissy engages in the classic fighting retreat. She gives ground and counters, moving carefully, staying away from the ropes, keeping Chabert at arm's length as much as possible. But, Lacey doesn't make that easy. The brunette's aggression levels continue to rise as the round goes on. By the final minute, she's getting Bell crowded, working her body hard, making her cover up, getting off lusty. This is the kind of stuff Bell's fans and her corner do not want to see, and they're seeing a lot of it by the bell. 19-19 after two.

ROUND THREE

Chabert Show renewed for a second season. The brunette's rolling now. She's got Bell in retreat and that's exactly what she wants. Lacey's athletic, too. She can move and she can get the ring cut and get square on Bell and rough her up. This is how she's taken four of five from a three-time flyweight champion. Lacey's all over bell by the second minute and then, BOOM! A short right hook out of a crouch by the brunette and things go from bad to worse for the blonde. Krissy's HURT and Lacey's all in. Chabert looking to finish this thing right now, throwing punches with both hands from every imaginable angle. Bell backed into the ropes, guard high, taking. Chabert working body. Working body. Working body. GOING RACK! Lacey's going RACK and the crowd is going crazy. Bell crouching and grabbing, trying to slow this down, but Chabert's punching for glory. Upstairs and back down. Only one thing can stop her now and it does. DING. Bell. End of round three. Chabert wide. Bell wobbly. Lacey leads 29-28.

ROUND FOUR:

Lacey looking arm-weary as this one begins. Chabert threw about three rounds worth of punches in the final minute and a half of the last round, and it's taken a toll. She's still pressuring, but not very busy. Kristen's legs looking a little worse for the wear at the moment as well. Bell can move, but not as well as she'd like. The result is a slow-paced round that sees both fighters doing a lot of feinting and head and shoulder movement, looking to create openings for punches. Some DO fly, and some of those land, but there's simply not as much volume as we've seen in the opening three rounds, or as we normally see in a fight at this weight. This is more of a welterweight pace, but, that being said, there's still some good boxing going on. Both fighters ARE able to get some clean shots home and score some points, and, while nobody's hurt, both girls feel the leather. At the bell, it's a near thing, but Kristen's claimed the round and evened things at 38.

ROUND FIVE:

Things returning to normal for both women. Bell's moving better, Lacey tossing better. Chabert turning up the heat on Krissy, looking to bring the physical. Bell slick and quick, using that jab effectively, slowing Lacey, making her work hard to get to her spots and get the heavy leather on. Bell almost all upstairs, while Chabert works more body than head. Both have a plan, and both work hard to execute it. It's good, two-way stuff for about half the round, but everything changes when Bell feints a jab and drops a perfect right on the brunette's chin. Lacey freezes, almost goes down. Bell immediately goes all in, looking to finish her nemesis immediately. Chabert in desperate trouble, being wobbled again and again, taking serious punishment from the snarling blonde. Soon, Chabert's on the ropes, literally and figuratively as Bell tries to exorcise the demons via an application of heavy leather. Chabert's legs pass every test, however, and, at the bell, she's still standing. Krissy's claimed the round wide, however, and has her first lead of the night, 48-47.

ROUND SIX:

Two schools of thought here, both of which were raised in Bell's corner. Chabert's legs are going to be in question for at least this stanza. You can get back to boxing, touch her up, bank some points, grab control of this thing. Or. You can send in the reserves, try to finish this right now. Wanna guess which one Krissy chooses? She's immediately on the offensive, walking forward on Chabert behind that effective left. Lacey, still a bit buzzed, forced to give ground. She's covering up and looking to counter, looking for the big shot that can change everything. And, it lands. Right on Chabert's chin. It's a short right hook that turns the brunette's legs to spaghetti. Lacey slumps forward onto Krissy, who shoulders her up, slams a brutal combination into that green bikini top, then blasts a right uppie under Chabert's chin. Lacey's head swivels and she ragdolls to the canvas, landing in a heap on her right side at Krissy's feet. Bell leaping in the air, celebrating. Knows it's over. And she's right. Chabert down and out, not moving at all. Count a formality. And your winner by KO6 in demon exorcising fashion is Kristen Bell!

AFTER:

Bell's thinking about it, but Chabert's been helped to her corner and she's surrounded by Mirage troops including Hewitt, arms crossed across her chest, waiting for some action. Bell's got some backup, too, and there are some stares exchanged between the Mirage and Fighting Academy members, but, in the end, with security looming outside, Krissy turns her back on her beaten rival and does the post-fight interview. "I TOLD you she wasn't too physical for me," she says with a grin. "I took what I wanted in there. I beat her up, pounded those jugs she's so proud of, and left her sucking canvas. And, if Hewitt doesn't quit eyeing me over there, I might just do the same to HER!"
