DAKOTA JOHNSON VS DAISY RIDLEY
Results: Lookout  Writing: Archer
Dakota: 26 YO, 5’7 ½ (1.71 m), 0-3-0 since 2015, Unmanaged
Daisy:  23 YO, 5’7 (1/70 m),  2-0-0 since 2015, Alpha Boxing Club

Before:  Dakota and Daisy both newcomers this year, but the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” star is off to the better start winning her first two bouts against Lucy Mecklenburgh and Lauren German.  Meanwhile Dakota has found herself racking up losses to Jennifer Lawrence, Alexandra Daddario and Gemma Arterton and the frustration is beginning to show on the “Fifty Shades of Grey Star” after repeated press questions in the pre-fight.

“All right I lost three times, but Gemma and Jen are established veterans and even Alexandra had 6 fights before she met me. I like to think I learned a lot more fighting them than ‘cupcakes’ some carefully protected rookies have used to build up their records,” Dakota says with a cool look in Daisy’s direction. “I am here to teach Daisy what I have learned and show her just what happens with she runs into a quality opponent.”

Daisy has developed a red flush in her cheeks and gives Dakota a deep scowl as she takes her turn at the podium. Dakota gives her a tight smile, she seems pleased she’s gotten a rise out of her sister rookie.

“Having taken a look at Ms, Johnson’s previous fights, I will only say that since lost and I won, she should be learning lessons from me! I will not embarrass anyone by discussing the merits of our opponents, I can only fight whoever is in front of me in the ring, but they were not ‘cupcakes’. And Ms Johnson, if I should encounter a ‘quality fighter’ I will pay close attention, but I think she has confused herself her opponents if she thinks she is a ‘quality fighter’—unless ‘quality’ includes the ability to utter snide remarks at a opponent. She’s seems to have learned that rather well.”

The reporters and on lookers chuckle at this. Now it’s Dakota Johnson’s turn to get a red flush in her cheeks and an angry look in her eyes. Security starts edging closer in case things get out of hand, but both young ladies keep their tempers in check for the rest of the press event. However they bump shoulders as they leave the stage and more cold glares are exchanged. Nothing like a grudge match to increase fan interest especially when it involves young and feisty rookies.

Fight night finds Dakota and Daisy exchanging icy hot glares at each other as the referee attempts to keep order. It seems a Twitter War has been raging between the two ladies and their followers and so things have only heated up since their last encounter. Dakota is in a hot red bikini trimmed in white fur with red boots and gloves (white lacings). Daisy has chosen to go with a white bikini with tiny red, green and silver snowflakes. White gloves and boots, red laces. Dakota’s hair pulled back in a simple ponyt ail with a bright red bow. Daisy has opted for more elaborate French braid with a white ribbon woven in. Two keep pushing against each other chest to chest as referee is trying to go through the ring instructions, but he has to keep pushing them apart. Tap of gloves, no one’s surprise, turns into a loud SMACK as the leather comes together amid blazing glares. Referee looks relieved when Dakota and Daisy go back to their corners to await the bell. It rings and the crowd leaps to its collective feet as the boxers surge at each other…

R1:  Mighty collision of two aroused lightweights comes at mid ring as Daisy and Dakota come within striking distance. Opening barrage is a on the wild side as blockbuster punches go sailing over ducking heads or get blocked by turning shoulders. However Daisy manages to clip Dakota on the nose drawing first blood (well, maybe a drop or two, but there is nothing like a bit of scarlet to excite the more bloodthirsty fans, especially early in a fight). Dakota responds with swiping right across Daisy’s mouth and a follow up left that catches her full in the lips causing the British fighters lower lip to split. Pair back off her a moment to assess the damage and then go back at each other aiming at each other’s heads. Nice work from both as hard, smashing shots knock each other’s heads back, but then Daisy shifts to pounding Dakota’s belly. Dakota seems caught off guard by the shift and stumbles back. However the American quickly remembers her jab to block Daisy’s follow-up. Two then shift to a more deliberate circle and poke, until Daisy thrusts forward and lights up Dakota’s breasts with some quick hooks underneath. Dakota backing away, but she’s clearly enraged at the breast beating and charges back at Daisy. More wild punching as Daisy cooler and more effective in mugging American jugs, but Dakota makes Daisy feel her revenge by driving straight rights and lefts into her bra cups. Two are banging away at the bell and have to be pulled apart by ref. Two stand there glaring at each other, bruised chests heaving until referee orders them to their orders. Judges finally decide the round goes (close) to Daisy Ridley.

R2: Things start out more coolly this round. Daisy and Dakota circle each other warily and launch probing punches, but then Daisy makes a quick step forward and clips Dakota across the chin. Dakota goes rubbery kneed and in swoops Daisy to launch more leather at her opponent’s head. Dakota covering her head and lurching blindly bangs into the ropes. Daisy now drums her punches into the American fighter’s belly. Dakota desperately clinching for breaks and breathing space.  Dakota finally works her way off the ropes with the help of a good jab that catches Daisy between the eyes and sends her backing up. Daisy rallies and presses in again, but Dakota using her jab to good defensive effect is able to protect herself from further series damage to the bell. However Daisy Ridley wins the round by a comfortable margin.

R3: Dakota Johnson’s mother Melanie Griffith, a champion back in the 1980’s, suddenly appears in her daughter’s corner and gives the young doctor some stern motherly. Onlookers can’t hear the exact words, but judging by the aggressive way Dakota out it must have been on the order of “Don’t let that bytch bully you! Show her you’re in this fight!” Dakota nods and heads right for Daisy as soon as the bell rings. Dakota shows some good feinting moves as she gets Daisy off balance and strikes her hard in the face, When Daisy raises her guard high to protect her head, Dakota drives hooks into the British fighter’s tummy and ribs. Daisy looking uncomfortable tries to get her jab going, but Dakota managing to keep her upper body moving to dodge the jab whole continuing to strike at Daisy to the body. Late the round she hooks up into Daisy’s breasts and gets her to back away. Steady Dakota Johnson pressure to the bell as she salts away her first round.

R4: Dakota maintains her steady pressure attack this round. Daisy is trying to counter it, but Dakota is proving fairly nimble with a footwork. Now Daisy getting her head bounced around by quick Johnson shots over Daisy’s high guard. Then Dakota heads down for a solid battering of the Ridley torso. Daisy’s bare midsection starting splotch up with bruised, discolored flesh. Daisy then going head hunting again. She’s definitely got Daisy on the retreat, but she hasn’t broken down her defenses entirely, Daisy Ridley bruised and aching, but still glaring at Dakota Johnson who returns the hostility with a glare of her own.

R5: Looks like Daisy was the one to get the lecture of lack of offense, because she comes out swinging in this round. Dakota meets the challenge head-on and the punch rate rapidly climbs as they start to go at it with growing intensity. Legs set and pushing forward as each tries to push the other back. They are getting so close now that their foreheads are touching and they can look each other right in the eye all the while heaving short, hard punches into each other. They finally end of clinching and referee has to pry them apart, but they go right back at it toe to toe and are blazing away to the body at the bell. Referee has to jump in to stop the punching and the two seem reluctant to go back to their corners, but nothing are now showing plenty of bruising esp to the body, Judges add it up and it comes back a DRAW!

R6: Dakota and Daisy struggle to seize the initiative early with another series of rapid-fire body punches, but then Dakota manages to catch Daisy by surprise with a quick one/two to the jaw. Daisy stutter-stepping backwards with her gloves up around her face. Dakota fires a barrage into Daisy’s wide open body, Daisy tipping forward from the belly punches and then gets her face banged by lifting hooks from Dakota. Daisy’s face badly busted up by this, but she pulls back in good order and gets her jab going. Dakota keeps up the chase but can’t find a way around Daisy’s defenses, so she has to settle for winning the round. Daisy’s face marred by swollen lips, cheeks and a hairline cut above her forehead, but she holds her head up high in defiance as she marches back to her corner. Dakota looking frustrated as she heads for hers.

R7: Dakota looking to take Daisy Ridley out this round and she moves in close very quickly aiming for the British fighter’s head with powerful rights and lefts. However Daisy able to turn her shoulders into these would-be blockbusters to blunt them and then ducks down as Dakota heaves a smashing right directly at her face., The shot brushes over Daisy;s hair and a split second later Daisy’s right comes hammering up under Dakota Johnson’s unguarded chin. Dakota thrown back onto her butt with a loud crash as she strikes the canvas. Dakota sits there with a vacant look on her face, but she shakes her head and slowly pulls herself back to her feet barely beating the count. Referee waves Daisy back in and at once Daisy is the hunter and Dakota is the wounded prey. Dakota fights desperately to back away behind her jab, but Daisy circles patiently, firing in her shots to make Dakota’s head ring more as the American is increasingly unable to block the incoming. Then Daisy skillful guides the increasingly woozy Dakota back to the ropes where she gets hung up, unable to keep her gloves up and getting head swatted from side to side. THE REFEREE JUMPS IN! Official cradles the helpless Dakota in his arms and moves her to safety. Weary Daisy Ridley wipes her forehead with her right arm and then raises it in victory.
THE WINNER: DAISY RIDLEY TKO7

After: “I hope this teaches Ms, Johnson some manners,” Daisy  tells the press later. “She should watch her mouth when she questions another  fighter’s ‘quality’. I think I most convincingly proved I was the ‘quality’ fighter of this bout and she was—not. What is this? Her 4th loss. Let that be another ‘lesson’ for her: do not insult Daisy Ridley—or you will regret it! Now I can look on to more rewarding opponents. I am really quite excited about my prospects in 2016.”

Dakota Johnson struggling to cope with this latest setback says. “I had her more than once, but I couldn’t seem to finish her. I am not giving up on myself. I know I can win and one day—soon—I will!”

“You, tell ’em, baby! We’re not going anywhere!” Michelle Griffith calls out.

“Oh, Mother,”: Dakota says sheepishly, but she seems to appreciate when her mother comes over to give her a supportive hug.

Daisy Ridley continues to show steady improvement. She may not be a contender just yet, but that seems quite plausible for the new year. On the other hand, Dakota Johnson slips to 0-4, and clearly needs a good win, but it seems to be an elusive goal for her at this point. Perhaps 2016 will see her fortunes change for the better. Meanwhile, lightweight fans can savor a good fight between two lightweight rookies and look forward to seeing what both can do in the year ahead.
