BEFORE:

"Finally," says Rachelle with a shake of the head, curly auburn hair bouncing. "Over two years I've been waiting for another chance in the FCBA. Well, now I've got it and I'm not going to waste it."

"She's sturdy," says Anna with a nod. "She's tough in there. Likes to work some body. And, she has nothing to lose tonight, obviously. But. She's GOING to lose. Count on that."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "We're back at ringside and that is 'All This and Heaven Too' by Florence + The Machine, and here comes lovely Canadian Rachelle LeFevre!"

McCarthy: "And, let me just say right now how absolutely ridiculous it is that one of Front Street's two REAL fighters is coming out here to fight a girl without an FCBA win...a girl who was on some summer TV series that got cancelled...a girl who's only real claim to fame is her HAIR..."

Cassie: "Says a woman whose only real claim to fame is a bunch of silicone..."

McCarthy: "You LITTLE..."

Tess: "You DO know she was in 'Twilight', right?"

McCarthy: "So was Stewart. And she can't fight, EITHER!"

O'Dell: "Rachelle wasting no time getting down the aisle and into the ring. She's helped off with the robe to reveal a black two-piece and a body that shows how hard she's been working out for this fight. And, that's 'The Pain and the Passion' by Midnight Oil you hear, and that can only mean that 'The Aussie Enforcer', Anna Torv, is on her way to the ring..."

McCarthy: "Like I said, one of Weirdo's two REAL fighters. And she should be on pay-per-view, not in the second spot against a tomato can!"

O'Dell: "Anna down the aisle, taps glove to fist with Mac on the way by the table as usual, and climbs into the ring. She's helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve and we have dueling black bikinis tonight..."

Tess: "Mac, did that ever both you? When a girl came down wearing the same color bikini as you?"

McCarthy: "NEVER. I LOVED it. Because, there was NO WAY any girl was going to look better in a bikini than I did, so it just made my superior body all the more OBVIOUS!"

O'Dell: "Aaaannnnd, we're about ready. It's time for some picks. Tess likes Anna. Mac?

McCarthy: "Torv. Easily."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "And, here we go. LeFevre immediately pressuring Torv, wants to get in close and bang. Kind of wondered what we'd see from the Canadian, Mac, because, in her fight against Pare, we saw some pressure and we saw some ranged boxing, and Rachelle seemed comfortable doing either..."

McCarthy: "The fact that she's pressuring just proves her handlers know the first thing about boxing, because if she tries to box Anna Torv, she has ZERO chance to win. Then again, she's got about ZERO doing this, too..."

O'Dell: "Anna not trying to create space, more than willing to stand and bang, and this is beginning to look like some Allison Mack fights we've seen, with both fighters in a phone booth banging body. LeFevre doing some tying up, some shoving and wrestling around in there. Torv answering in kind."

Tess: "Kind of wondering what Torv's thinking is right here, why she's willing to fight on these terms, because she's not making any effort to renegotiate..."

O'Dell: "She is not. Anna fighting fire with fire here, so to speak, and both fighters getting plenty of work done, no question about that. Coming down the stretch and the two beauties are working up a good sweat and hammering away, doing a bit more upstairs work as we approach the bell. There it is, and that will end the first. Close to Rachelle."

Cassie: "Give LeFevre credit, but I'm not sure she can win a war of attrition with Torv. Looks like we're going to find out, though."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins and it takes us about ten seconds to get back in the phone booth. And we're inside working body just like we were in the first round. Both fighters very, very comfortable with this, clearly, and, again, both are effective on these terms, both getting some grinding work done as they wrestle for position..."

Tess: "And, we clearly heard the Front Street corner in between rounds, and no one suggested that Anna try to work at range. Trainers apparently happy with Torv working this style."

O'Dell: "And, LeFevre happy about it, too, because it's allowing her to get very physical in there, which is something she likes to do. Rachelle a thick, powerfully built lightweight, and there's no doubt she's built to give and take the punishment, punishment like what's being traded back and forth right now..."

McCarthy: "But, let's not forget that Torv can and has worked this way, too. This is why she's a great fighter. She can box with the best lightweights in the FCBA, but, if you want to grind, she can do that, too. Let's not forget, this is a girl our former commissioner had on his list of 'Righetti busters'..."

O'Dell: "Into the final minute of the second frame and we're seeing more good, back-and-forth stuff. Fighters banging inside, working a bit more upstairs this round, but still concentrating on the bodies. Both of those sturdy frames taking some heavy leather, but neither appear to be feeling the effects, at least not yet. There's the bell. Close again. Anna, this time.

Cassie: "19-19, all even. But, if I'm LeFevre's corner, I'm happy so far. Their girl is hanging in tough."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "We're right back to banging as the third begins. The two fighters toe-to-toe in close, hooking body, wrestling around, using shoulders for leverage. Some good foot movement in here, and the hands getting out and back nicely. Both fighters remaining sound defensively. Nothing sloppy about this..."

Cassie: "Absolutely not. This is not one of those situations where the fighters are just winging away in there. This is good stuff. It's just really brutal stuff."

O'Dell: "No question about that. There's a lot of heavy leather banging into flesh on both sides. Rachelle with that light complexion is starting to pink up quite a bit, but she's not backing down a step, hanging right in and giving as good as she gets. Again, there's some work to the head going on here, but it's mainly body stuff..."

McCarthy: "Got to go upstairs some to keep the other girl honest, and, of course, you also want to take some shots up there, see if you can catch her dropping guard."

O'Dell: "Neither girl doing much of that, though. They're keeping the hands up and shipping the damage to the body pretty well. Both determined to wear the other girl down, and, while neither's been able to do it so far, it's still early, and the investment both fighters are making may well pay off. Ten seconds left in the third. And the lightweights dig body right to the bell. A third consecutive close one, this one to Rachelle."

Tess: "And LeFevre back in front, 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Back to work and back in close in the fourth round. Not much change in tactics or results in this one. These rounds so far have been almost exactly alike, with the two fighters grinding it out inside, banging body, wrestling around, tying up. The only difference being that LeFevre is getting more physical as this goes on..."

McCarthy: "And, Torv matching her on that score. Again, Rachelle is not going to out-physical Anna Torv. But, as Scabbo said earlier, give her credit. She's hanging in there and not being backed down."

O'Dell: "She most certainly is not. She's taking everything Torv's giving out and firing back just as much of her own. Same thing, of course, can be said of Anna, but this is more impressive on Rachelle's end, because, of course, she's a girl with one FCBA fight, where Torv is a top ten veteran who's beaten a who's who of FCBA lights."

Tess: "No question this has to be turning some heads, Jenny. And, keep in mind, LeFevre showed some stuff against Pare, too. She's 36 now and might be past making a run at a title or anything like that, but this girl is proving she ought to get more fights."

O'Dell: "Might just be. Because, she's definitely proving she can take the proverbial licking and keep on ticking. Torv's working over that solid body of hers, but Rachelle doing the exact same to her opponent. Twenty seconds left in this one. Good right to the head from Rachelle and Torv responds with one of her own. Fighters tie up. Five seconds. There's the bell. Yet another close one. Rachelle."

Cassie: "And, LeFevre now up 39-37 if we're right. But, with all those close rounds, what's on the judges' cards is anyone's guess."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth begins just like every round so far has, with the two fighters stepping to and having at it. Again, body work being emphasized, as both fighters dig hard, banging the ribs, working the midsection. Everything clean. Nothing low. Nothing on the kidneys. No rack being taken. But, just about everything else being tenderized..."

Tess: "At some point, Mac, does Torv change tactics here? I mean, this is a close fight right now. How much longer does she stand toe-to-toe and fight the fight Rachelle wants?"

McCarthy: "I think Anna's happy with what she's getting done, and, as long as that's the case, she's going to stick with it."

O'Dell: "Certainly appears that way. The two fighters upping the temp a bit as this one goes along. Both have shipped quite a bit of punishment already, but neither showing any ill effects, save the bodies pinking up. Both hanging in tough, not backing up or down, and the legs certainly still look fresh..."

Cassie: "They do. Impressive in both cases, because, as you said, a lot of shell has landed here, and neither of this girls has been slowed by it."

O'Dell: "Thirty seconds to go in the fifth. GOOD right hand from Rachelle and Torv responds with a SOLID combination to the head. Some of the best punches we've seen in this one exchanged just then. Ten seconds left. The fighters clinching. LeFevre tying Torv up around the head. Anna hooking body. Bell. Close yet again. Torv."

Tess: "48-47 at half. This has turned into quite a fight."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Sixth begins with more inside work. The two fighters at each other in a big way to start this one, banging body and then head, working up and back down. Both appearing to think now is the time to redouble the efforts, to increase pressure and try to take control of this thing, but, at the moment, neither able to do so."

Tess: "But both fighters really sitting down on their punches now, getting some serious heat behind them..."

O'Dell: "No question about it! LeFevre SNAPS back Torv's head with a right hook and Anna BLASTS Rachelle with a left-right! LeFevre hooks body and ANNA ROCKS HER WITH A STRAIGHT RIGHT HAND! Rachelle staggered by that right hand and now Torv going all in! Rachelle wobbled back to the ropes and Torv giving her a pounding!"

McCarthy: "Just a matter of time before Torv got her. Can't stand and bang with her all night and get away with it."

O'Dell: "Rachelle hanging on as we come down the stretch. Anna landing some solid punches, shaking the redhead, but LeFevre's legs holding up. Twenty seconds left. Torv pouring it on, looking to finish this thing, but Rachelle going to deny her. Five seconds left. Good hook from Torv, and there's the bell. Anna wide. But."

Cassie: "But, the fight's even at 57 with four rounds to go."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Seventh is the first round to begin differently, as now it's Torv coming forward and LeFevre, still wobbly, giving ground. Anna working that big heavy left hand, popping it into Rachelle's face, snapping her head back, backing her up, and then walking forward into the open canvas. LeFevre countering in spots, but mostly on the defensive..."

McCarthy: "This is great patience from Torv, and it's an example of how to approach this situation. She's using her jab, working to set up her punches. Nothing wild or sloppy...AND THERE IT IS!"

O'Dell: "STRAIGHT RIGHT BY TORV AND DOWN GOES RACHELLE! LeFevre dropped to her back with a right cross! Torv to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Rachelle rolls to her belly, pushes to her hands and knees. Eight. Nine. Redhead on her feet. Referee going to give her the mandatory. Checking Rachelle closely..."

Tess: "Going to allow it to continue..."

O'Dell: "He is, and on comes Anna. Torv immediately to work, again backing Rachelle up with that heavy left hand, using it to set up rights, quickly trapping the redhead on the ropes. Body on sale as Rachelle's in a high guard. Anna buying, working it with heavy hooks then STAGGERING RACHELLE WITH A RIGHT HAND! Straight right split the gloves and LeFevre almost went down! BIG combination Torv on the follow...

Cassie: "It's OVER!"

O'Dell! "Referee stepping in and bundling LeFevre to safety, and your winner by TKO7 is 'The Aussie Enforcer', Anna Torv!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Anna Torv, and, Anna, this thing got VERY physical..."

Anna (nodding): "I expected nothing less, Tess. She's a solid light, lot of power, great body. She's willing to match that against anyone in the FCBA. But. So am I."

Tess: "No question she made a fight of it for awhile, but, eventually..."

Anna: "Right. Sooner or later, I was going to get her, and, it's to her credit that it took so long. She's very sturdy. She can punch and she can TAKE a punch. And she took a LOT of them."

Tess: "What's 2016 going to bring for you?"

Anna: "Only one thing I want. Another shot at the title."
