BEFORE:

"It's nice to get back into the ring," says Lis with a gorgeous smile. "I know I have some other responsibilities at Bazz, but, it's been a year, and that's too long. I'm ready to show everyone what they've been missing."

"If you're expecting me to talk trash about Lis Rohm, you're going to be disappointed," says Brooklyn with a shake of the head. "I have a lot of respect for her. She's physical. She's tough. She's smart. I also like her. I'm not going to enjoy beating her. But I AM going to do it."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Ride of the Valkyrie' you hear and that can only mean..."

Cassie: "ROHM-MY! ROHM-MY! ROHM-MY!"

O'Dell: "That the lovely Elisabeth Rohm of the Bazz Fight Club is on her way to ringside..."

Tess: "And, a lot of folks will tell you that Lis is the brains of the Bazz outfit. I know that's not QUITE true, but she's certainly a big PART of the brain trust."

Cassie: "No question about that. And Decker's right. She's as tough and physical as she is smart. And she's about to show everybody that, at Brooklyn Decker's expense."

McCarthy: "I, personally, can't BELIEVE that DECKER actually showed someone some respect..."

Cassie: "EVERYBODY respects Lis. Even Decker."

O'Dell: "Rohm into the ring and helped off with the robe by the Bazz corner, and she certainly fills out that sea foam green bikini more like a woman of 22 than 42..."

McCarthy: "Every month I say this: 'Nothin' but a number'."

O'Dell: "And, down go the lights..."

Cassie: "Here's the part where Mac says..."

McCarthy: "RIDICULOUS!!!"

O'Dell: "Laser show underway, and that's 'Also Sprach Zarathustra' you hear as 'The 21st Century Goddess', Brooklyn Decker, makes her way very slowly to the ring..."

Tess: "Here's the part where Mac says..."

McCarthy: "She has the biggest EGO of any fighter in the entire FCBA, and, worse, she' has ZERO reason for it, because she's never won a big fight in her LIFE!"

O'Dell: "Decker into the ring, helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that yellow two-piece that immediately gets the crowd buzzing as usual, and it's time for some picks. Tess favors Decker. Mac?"

McCarthy: "This isn't a big fight, so I considered picking Decker to win, but Rohm's no tomato can. Lis!"

O'Dell: "Do I have to ASK, Cassie?"

Cassie: "ROHM-MY! ROHM-MY! ROHM-MY!"

O'Dell: "And, we're underway. Lis wants to go straight to that long left jab, and Decker willing to go there with her. Both of these tall blondes are plenty rangy, and they can both be very effective at long distances where they can extend on their punches. Both working the left quite a bit here early, mostly holding back the rights..."

Tess: "Decker's got the heavier left, that 'Front Street Jab' we talk about, but Lis a little more accurate with hers at the moment..."

O'Dell: "Rohm very slick, and that's no surprise. As we've seen before, you'll struggle to find a slicker boxing lightweight than Lis. Brooke holding her own on these terms, though, not hitting as high a percentage, as Tess pointed out, but she's making up for that with a higher work rate. Rohm now hooking some body off the left, and Decker responding to that in kind as well..."

Cassie: "Rohmmy just trying to get the lay of the land here, I think, and, to be fair, I think that's what Decker's trying to do as well."

O'Dell: "Both fighters do appear to be in the information gathering mode, both moving very well, feinting some, probing for defensive holes that can be exploited. And, frankly, not finding all that many. Twenty seconds left in this first stanza. SHARP exchange right there as both fighters put some punches together, and there's the bell. Decker a bit more effective and she claims the round."

McCarthy: "10-9 for the Queen of Ego after one."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins with more of the same. Both fighters want to work at gunnery range, and both again showing why by doing so effectively. As you might expect, we're seeing more punches put together here in the second. The recon work now done, the two blondes are getting down to business..."

Cassie: "And, this is where Rohmmy's strength is. She's one of the smartest, slickest fighters in the FCBA. She's great at chain work."

O'Dell: "And, you're seeing some of that now, as Rohm sets up punches with other punches, with feints, with footwork, A leading to B leading to C and it's really D she wants to hit you with. Credit to Decker, though, she's handling this pretty well. Getting her left out and back, moving the feet, head and hands..."

McCarthy: "But, Rohm IS getting the better of things by outSMARTING Decker. No surprise there, because Decker isn't the brightest ball on the tree..."

Tess: "It's brightest..."

Cassie: "Worth it, Tess?"

Tess (sighing): "Good point."

O'Dell: "Final 30 seconds ticking away as the blondes engage in good, two-way boxing. Again, the pace picks up as the round comes to an end, with Decker getting more aggressive and Rohm matching that aggression and more. Some sharp punches being tossed back and forth as we approach the bell, and there it is. Close round to Lis.

Tess: "And, we're all even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "At range again as we start the third and Rohm starting to fight a little bit of lead now. She's getting that jab on consistently, starting to preempt Decker with it, following with solid rights that force Brooke to cover up. Lis getting in rhythm, and that is bad news for Decker, as Brooke's getting forced backward now, from heavy flurries by the Valkyrie..."

McCarthy: "Rohm about to put this girl in trouble..."

O'Dell: "RIGHT HAND, DECKER and it's ROHM who's in trouble! That quickly a right-hand counter from Brooke wobble's the Bazz beauty's knees and Decker now pouring on fire. Rohm covering up, behind forced back, working hard to stay off the ropes, but Decker's seen this before and she's not having it. She's bullying Lis backward, trapping her against the cables..."

Cassie: "Lis showing how slick she is defensively, though. She's got the guard up, she's moving the head and shoulders, not going to give Decker an easy target..."

O'Dell: "But, Brooke still finding it plenty. Decker getting off lusty as we come down the stretch, really testing the legs of Lis Rohm, but the Bazz veteran hanging on, countering in spots. She's taking a licking, but she's still ticking. Ten seconds left in the third. SOLID right from Decker, but there's the bell. Brookie wide."

Tess: "And, she's up 29-28 Lis not only stayed alive, she saved points by staying on her feet."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Decker looking to apply some serious pressure as we start the fourth. Rohm going to go the route of the fighting retreat, keeping the guard up, fighting counter here. Brooke slowly taking canvas, keeping Lis on the defensive, but the older woman effective there, scoring well in counter..."

McCarthy: "The key in a situation like Decker's is not to get too aggressive. Plays right into the hands of the other fighter..."

O'Dell: "And, Brooke may be doing a little of that now. She's missing quite a bit and landing a lot of stuff on Rohm's arms and shoulders. Lis very effective defensively, and, more important, scoring with both hands in sharp counters, while minimizing the damage from the more-active Decker. Neither fighter hurt, but both are taking some solid leather in spots..."

Cassie: "Lis just slicker right here, Jenny. She's getting her legs back slowly, and staying right in this round while she does it."

O'Dell: "Coming down the stretch in what's been a close one. Rohm's managed to blunt the Decker momentum at the very least and is looking like she might actually take the points here. Pace picking up in the finals seconds as it has done most of the fight. Good counter, Rohm at the bell, and it's close, but Lis."

Tess: "And, we're even at 38. That was a big, impressive round for Lis."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Into the fifth now and we're back to where we were to start the third. Fighters in boxing stances, popping out jabs, looking to maintain distance. Rohm clearly has the legs back, moving very well, angling up on Decker, trying to keep that heavy left off while getting her own on. Brooke showing some patience now..."

Tess: "She learned something in that last round. Or, in between rounds. Because she heard it from Neve."

O'Dell: "Fighters getting their respective offenses going as this round goes along. Flurry after flurry now, and hard, sharp stuff is landing despite sound defense and THERE'S A RIGHT HAND FROM DECKER that sent Lis stumbling backward! Decker all in again and Rohm once again in some serious trouble..."

Cassie: "Rohmmy needs to take this to the ropes and go pocket..."

O'Dell: "And, that's exactly what she's doing. Decker not getting wild here, setting up her punches, working to create openings in the tight guard of Lis Rohm. The Bazz beauty putting the body on sale, but Brooke not buying. It's all head shots now as she's looking to turn out the lights. Twenty seconds left. Rohm EATS a hard right hand, but fires right back with a nice counter. Ten seconds. Rohm clinches. And there's the bell. Lis escapes again!"

Cassie: "That's my GIRL right there..."

McCarthy: "And, again, she saves points by staying on her feet. 48-47, Decker. Anyone's fight with five to go."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Second half of this one starts with Decker on a mission. Brooke looking to seek and destroy now, working that big left to back Rohm up, just like in the fourth. But, Brooke less wild now, staying pretty sound, working hard to create openings for the right hand and letting it go when she does..."

Cassie: "Rohmmy still effective defensively, Jenny. Not moving as well as she did, but she's showing good hand, head, and shoulder movement, and she's countering in spots."

O'Dell: "Indeed, she is, and she's slowing Brooke's offensive roll a bit with those counters. Decker looking to work Rohm back to the ropes, but Lis doing well to stay off the cables and DOWN SHE GOES! Down goes Rohm after a nasty right hook that sent her crashing in right at Decker's feet..."

Tess: "That one landed right on the button..."

Cassie: "Come ON, Rohmmy. Get UP..."

O'Dell: "Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Rohm actually getting to hands and knees here. I did not think she'd get THAT far after the shot she took. Seven. Eight. Lis to her knees. Nine. TEN! Can't beat it! Rohm can't beat the count, despite a valiant effort, and it's over. You're winner by KO6 is 'The 21st Century Goddess', Brooklyn Decker!"

Tess: "Mac, you want to walk us through the replay of that punch..."

McCarthy: "NO! It was a lucky punch, Decker's overrated, and I'm getting Sceej on the phone right now. I want a FIGHT with that girl!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Brooklyn Decker, and, Brooke, you seemed to be dead set on finishing in that last round..."

Brooklyn (nodding): "Had to. She's a very good fighter, and I had her in trouble in the third and couldn't finish. I had her in trouble in the fifth and couldn't finish. I knew the cards were close. I knew I might not get another chance. Had to get her out of there."

Tess: "What's next for you? I know Bundchen..."

Brooklyn: "I have no comment on Bundchen. My goal in the lightweight championship, and, what's next is whatever moves me closer to that
