"Here's my plan -- I'm going for the middleweight title," explained Robyn Lawley. "Yes, there isn't one, and yes, there's a shortage of competition, but I'm not letting those things bother me. I've put the call out, trying to find a good opponent, and I'm glad to say I got a bite! She seems pretty tough, so I'm looking forward to seeing how she holds up once she's stuck in the ring with me for ten rounds."

"I've been testing the waters regarding a boxing career for some time now," Elizabeth Debicki said regarding the upcoming fight. "So I'm hardly going into this blind. But this is a big jump for me. At my height it's quite difficult to find anyone willing to face me, so getting a call for once was a nice surprise! Of course, I'm not going to be able to scare Robyn by towering over her, but that extra inch is worth something, right?"

The setup was unremarkable. Debicki, in gold athletic wear, kept a cool, detached attitude with a small smile. Lawley, in white trunks and bra, seemed slightly agitated, putting her pent up energy into her warm up. The actress and the model touched gloves, with Lawley looking up at Debicki intensely.

Round 1:
The actress and the model each tested the other early on. Debicki, possibly unused to being scheduled for ten rounds, took things slow. Lawley found herself playing the role of the defender as Debicki built up momentum. At the end of the round, the blonde's perplexing confidence proved justified by the result as she walked away in the lead.

Round 2:
Lawley was able to overcome the tall blonde's small reach advantage on and off. In the second round, she was mostly on. The strong model struck Debicki's ribs repeatedly, getting a reaction from the blonde, but not damaging her ability to resist. Debicki's responses, however, were not enough to earn her any space.

Round 3:
The third round was rough on both fighters. After several small skirmishes, the two went head to head, getting cheered on loudly by the audience. Lawley earned a brief triumphant moment as Debicki overcommitted to a strong uppercut, allowing the model to dodge and strike freely up close for a moment. However, Debicki fired back soon enough, giving her shorter rival enough of a pounding that she had to break off the attack. The remainder of the round was less intense, with Lawley gaining an incremental advantage as Debicki cut her losses.

Round 4:
With both fighters proving their ability to hurt the other, the fourth round slowed down slightly as each woman showed slightly more respect for her opponent. However, when Lawley decided to pursue Debicki, the blonde obliged her. The charge turned out to be a mistake for Lawley, as after a short, intense battle, Debicki caught her with a rising hook to the jaw. Lawley was knocked backwards from the forceful blow, landing on her back supported by her elbows. Glaring daggers at Debicki, who was serenely waving and blowing a kiss to a particularly enthusiastic group of fans, Lawley pushed herself upright early in the count. The model did her best to wave the ref aside early on to rejoin the fight, eventually allowing herself to be examined as the blonde watched, amused. Lawley gladly went on the attack again, but was out of time soon enough.

Round 5:
Despite her eagerness to get back up, Lawley showed signs that she might have benefitted from a longer rest as the fifth round played out. Debicki had more opportunities to strike at Lawley as time passed, and while the model fiercely resisted, she could not prevent the blonde from landing strong hits. A death spiral for Lawley appeared imminent, though at the bell, despite having endured a beating from start to finish, she seemed just as determined as ever.

Round 6:
Lawley's predicted death spiral was cancelled early in the sixth round. Shrugging off the effects of the previous rounds, the model proceeded to churn out an acceptable performance against the increasingly frustrated Debicki, who was forced to watch her chances of ending the fight slip away. The blonde persevered, evening the score and pulling ahead in the final minute, but this was not where she wanted to be.

Round 7:
Lawley continued her solid performance in the seventh round, tapping away at Debicki steadily. The blonde fought back well enough until the close of the round, when Lawley made her move. Chasing her rival back after a successful exchange, the model let her have it, softening her up for a moment before leaning into a right cross and sending Debicki stumbling back with a shocked expression on her face. The blonde landed sitting down at a safe distance, giving her head a quick shake. She was up before even half of the count passed, and though Lawley was quick to pounce, the round ended before she could end the match.

Round 8:
With a painful looking knockdown and momentum on Lawley's side, the two fghters' fortunes had entirely reversed. Debicki was fighting to run out the clock, and Lawley mainly allowed her to do so, taking her time and denying the blonde her much needed respite. However, Lawley went on the attack again as the round drew to a close. Now facing a tired, weakened, Debicki, the model's sudden burst of energy overwhelmed her opponent. After Debicki swung wildly at Lawley to chase her off and missed, the model went to work, landing a trio of shots to the blonde's face in an instant. Eyes shut, the blonde wobbled for a moment before landing face down at Lawley's feet, mouth open. Debicki was up a minute later, just in time to hear the result -- KO8 Lawley.

"She's pretty strong!" commented Lawley after the dust settled, probably unnecessarily given the rounds before her win. "About what I expected. OK, maybe a little bit more. But close. Anyway, expect to see me in more fights like this in the future. After a certain complete mess, I want to overcompensate a little."
