BBU MODEL BATTLE

(This Is Glamour vs Tech Unlimited Europe)

Now that she has hit a bit of form, and her work with the lads’ mag magazines has dried up, Melissa Debling was keen to get back in the ring again. This is Glamour management tried to suggest a number of jobber opponents- girls that would make Melissa look good but were ultimately only in it for the money. Melissa was undeterred however. She had got into this sport in order to right some of the slights that had been hurled her way over the years in the dog eat dog world of glamour modelling. Her eyes were firmly fixed on Kayleigh Pearson, a girl who had got the better of her in a number of Sexiest Model polls over the years. It was obviously a case of heart-over-head for the Ramsgate native as her prospective opponent is 5-1 in her last six fights with the only crumb of comfort being the loss she suffered to Lily Collins in her last outing. Debling, for her part, is 3-1 since the start of 2015.

Debling enters the ring in tan shorts and a pink bikini halter with matching gloves. Pearson enters the ring on a blue one piece swimming costume with matching gloves. This Flyweight fight is scheduled for ten rounds.

Round 1: Debling goes on the attack right away, and drops Pearson hard! Pearson does get up, but goes down again not long after. She does manage to survive the last 40 seconds or so, but here's a fight where we're starting with a 10-7.

Round 2: Pearson looking to land a game changer, which is about the only choice she has. Pearson may have hurt her knee, but she's fighting. Pearson certainly doing better this round, though, and the knee is not bothering her down the stretch, or at least not visibly. Debling's also, you know, a large girl, and not exactly lean on the top decks and she might wear out.

Round 3: Debling has gone to single shots. Pearson, on the other hand, is picking up the activity, landing shots, targeting the boobs, and going to work. Pearson throwing, Debling connects with a counter shot that pushes Pearson back momentarily, but Pearson’s working and moving in this round, and she's winning it.

Round 4: Debling coming out quicker this round, looking to do some damage. 10 rounds looks like a long time for both girls at the moment. Pearson with a couple of left hands. A hard body shot from Pearson really hurts Debling.

Round 5: This has turned into a fun fight. And pretty brutal. Pearson landing again early in the fifth. Debling with another right hand. Pearson looking tired. Her mouth's been open most of the fight, but she looks really exhausted at the moment. It's been a lot of work to stay in this fight. Hard right from Debling hurts Pearson. Better round for Debling, or worse round for Pearson, I don't know. It's a war of attrition right now.

Round 6: Tough round again for both girls. Pearson getting the worst of it again, and it's showing on her face. Debling has found a nice second wind and may be ready to put this thing away.

Round 7: Pearson cut on an accidental headbutt, and it's just more punishment for her overall. Debling going for the finish this round, beating up on Pearson pretty badly. Referee could step in at any time. And instead of it being stopped too soon, she gets her head demolished on three free shots from Debling.

Melissa Debling wins with a seventh round knockout.

After:
That was an impressive performance from Debling, Kent’s very own pocket rocket, against an albeit ring rusty opponent who nevertheless has an impressive record. Pearson’s timing seemed awry, as you might expect for a fighter that has just fought once over the previous twelve months. Debling’s recent win over America Ferrera, by contrast, showed that when she is fit, moving her 32F rack about the ring is not as problematic as you might think. The tabloids will no doubt call this an upset, but Pearson was comprehensively outboxed tonight. Given the effect training for a fight has on a boxer’s chest measurements, it will be interesting to see if Debling schedules another fight, so risking a drop in bra size, or if she goes back to glamour modelling for a few months.
