After Georgia Salpa was photographed by the paparazzi during a night out in Manchester, local fighter Holly Peers immediately took offence at her territory being invaded. Peers, who has been chomping at the bit to get back in the ring after her stunning JMD win over Katie Price in December, immediately called out Salpa on Twitter. Whilst Salpa’s visit to Manchester was merely for a hen party, she was not about to be bad mouthed by an English girl, and immediately saw this as an easy opportunity to halt her losing streak of four in a row.

The fight was given added spice by its scheduling immediately before the England vs Ireland rugby match. Both girls engaged in a pre-fight spat over which of them would bring more fans to the fight, and sure enough, by the time of her ringwalk, all of Dublin seemed to have come over from Dublin to support Salpa.

This Lightweight fight is scheduled for ten rounds and is being held at Old Trafford, Manchester. Georgia Salpa enters the ring in a set of red bra and panties with matching gloves. Holly Peers enters the ring in a set of black bra and panties with matching gloves.

Round 1: The crowd is relentlessly loud as the fight starts. The start is cagey, as expected. The first minute sees Peers shooting a few jabs, but nothing gets in. Peers is the aggressor, not that it's really aggressive. The second minute is more of the same. There are lots of feints on both sides. Salpa shoots a right hand, but it's short. Peers moves forward after that, but still nothing lands. Nobody lands a punch that matters.

Round 2: The first half of this round is pretty much the same as the last round, though perhaps Peers is doing just a bit more. Salpa tries to come back on a counter opportunity but Peers makes her miss. Salpa misses another big right hand. A bit more life late in the round, but still no punches are really landing.

Round 3: The fencing continues in the third round, although Peers now looks comfortable, whilst Salpa looks wound up. Peers is poking with her left hand. When Salpa does throw, she's lunging with power shots that Peers is escaping pretty easily. Is this a fight where we have two girls who lost it on the scales?

Round 4: Salpa is struggling horribly with range. Peers starts to move forward with confidence a minute into this round. She is not landing, really, but at least it looks like something. Salpa misses a hook and a right after it. Salpa misses another hook. Peers cleanly lands a jab. Salpa is still just finding nothing. There's a right hand from Salpa, but Peers moves and the rally ends as soon as it started. Salpa landed the best punch of the round, maybe, but Peers still controlled it, for what it's worth.

Round 5: Peers lands some more still. Salpa wakes up in this round, finally. Peers jabbing again, though. Salpa is now looking to the referee for some aid during Peers's clinches, which is fair as it is technically illegal to hold. Peers gauges that Salpa's aggression is increasing, and she ups her own output. Both girls land shots. 30 seconds to go in the round and Salpa gets Peers to the ropes but misses. Easily the best round of the fight and you'd hardly say it was exceptional.

Round 6: Salpa lands a shot, then has Peers oddly off balance and throws an up from under left that gets in, too. Salpa with a little right to the body. Salpa finally really working this round. Peers with a little counter shot. Salpa actually showing a jab, at least showing it, and that's helping her not let Peers dictate the entire fight. Salpa nicks the round.
Round 7: Salpa has definitely picked up the pace. She's digging to the body, or at least trying to dig to the body. Salpa with a right hand, and she's got an opening, but Peers takes it well. The bit of action is all in bursts. Salpa with a combination! Wow, what a fight this is now! Salpa with another round.

Round 8: Salpa STORMS out of the corner with a right hand, but misses badly. Salpa is putting on the pressure. Peers has to respond, and now we've got some actual drama for a moment. Salpa really battering the body now. Peers ducking down in the pocket, and we've got a fight! FINALLY! Salpa is really laying in the body shots. Peers standing her ground, but not sure she really wants to, she just has to right now. I think Salpa is landing the harder blows, but Peers has an argument in this round.

Round 9: Salpa with another good combo to start the round. Peers digging to the body a bit now, too. Both girls are throwing punches in the pocket. Peers lands a good shot upstairs, Salpa goes back to the body. A left hook upstairs from Salpa! Body work from Salpa. Peers with some of her own, but Salpa is just bulling forward. Peers looks over to her corner. She might be gassing out. This is a war of attrition now, and Salpa looks much fresher. Salpa hurts Peers a bit, and Peers just not responding well now.

Round 10: Peers coming out fast in the 10th, hoping to stem the tide and leave it in the ring. She looked a little spent in the 9th, but this is the final three minutes. Salpa being neutralized in the first half of this round. Peers just staying busy and moving around. Salpa misses a wild right. Peers takes this round and that should solidify the win for her.

Denise van Outen:”That’s one for Salpa….Now one for Peers…..and Holly Peers has beaten Georgia Salpa on a split decision…..congratulations Holly. ”

HP:”I don’t know what that first judge was thinking. He really should have been watching the fight instead of my tits.”

DvO:”Georgia came back strongly in the second half. Were you worried that she would catch you. You looked to be struggling in the ninth.”

HP:”We both knew the fight was for ten rounds beforehand. She will no doubt complain that she would have won it over twelve rounds, but ultimately she has to take responsibly for gifting me the early rounds. I couldn’t believe how bad her footwork was.”
