BEFORE: It's been a tough Hollyoaks Special for Ali Bastian thus far, the blonde lost to both Jennifer Metcalfe and Emma Rigby which effectively leaves her battling to avoid the wooden spoon award at the expense of Claire Cooper. Meanwhile Jodi Albert looked very impressive in her last outing where she knocked out Jordan Carver on the German's home soil and her BBU comeback is set to defy more betting odds according to Denise van Outen.

Jodi Albert wears a black bikini set with pink trim and pink gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a high ponytail. Ali Bastian wears a red bikini top, white knickers and white gloves. Blonde hair tied in a loose bun at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Ali shows a lot of courage early on and wants to catch the brunette with a big punch quickly but she fails to work Jodi's guard over and despite throwing plenty of jabs over the top, she struggles to make them count and allows Albert to trigger a steady counter thereafter. Jodi's shots are just that little more accurate and when Ali's head begins to snap around, the brunette moves up a gear and blasts the blonde with a nasty cross hook on the eye that sinks Bastian on her heels and sends her backing into the ropes come the final minute. Jodi's really hungry for some action as if the Carver test wasn't productive enough and Ali fails to shake off the Foxfire heat bellowing out into a high earmuff defence in the dying seconds.

Round 2:
Another feisty start from the blonde is quickly tamed with a vicious cross hook that nails Bastian on the mouth and enables Albert to rip immediate follow up that drops Ali's guard and bends her to the side on the spot. Jodi's fast to bury a couple of low hooks on the ribcage which bully the aching blonde into the turnbuckle but the clinching respite is the only way Ali can bide some time and prevent another troublesome period in this fight. However Jodi shows some core strenght and shakes the blonde off before blasting her on the chin with a piercing uppercut and rocking her foe with more facial onslaught come the final minute. She traps Bastian deep in the corner and methodically dismantles the high guard while Ali sags on her knees and doesn't even throw a proper response looking totally out of depth at the bell.

Round 3:
This is a horrible performance from Bastian now, she slips into a crunching uppercut on the jaw and barely avoids a classic faceplant but the brunette quickly makes sure her opponent is wrapped up in a leather galore and pummels the aching Ali back to the ropes with a flurry of shots before one of the hooks catches her on the ear and half-spins into the turnbuckle. Ali yelps in pain but can't keep her mitts high enough and succumbs to a left/right hooking combo that snaps her head on the spot and paves the way for another crunching uppercut THAT LIFTS BASTIAN OFF HER FEET and sends her tumbling down in a heap moments later.... Albert screams out in delight while Bastian battles the first spasms and takes the full eight count before getting up... that's one rattled blonde out there and Denise van Outen begins to wonder how mentally inferior Ali is tonight since she never looked like having the right mindset to compete with the Foxfire girl to begin with. She's allowed to continue but Albert pins her to the turnbuckle and slams more blows into the midsection to close out a dominant round and quite frankly Ali looks like heading for the exit door already as she slumps on her stool with eyes closed.

Round 4:
Jodi wants to finish the rattled blonde off quickly now and squares up to Bastian before driving her mitts straight into her face to dismantle the high guard and connect Ali to the spasms of defeat. Bastian's footwork is just nowhere to be seen and the proud blonde staggers back on her heels when the brunette keeps harrassing her over the top and eventually pounds back to the familiar trap along the cornerpost. Ali spits out her gumshield in a desperate effort to bide some time but before the ref can separate the girls Jodi still blasts her on the exposed ribcage and gurgles in anger when the bout is briefly stopped to recover Ali's mouthpiece. She throttles the truly cumbersome opponent when the action resumes and settles into a vicious jabbing series straight up the middle to collapse Bastian's guard and just rip her face into a swollen mess.... nothing comes back from the blonde anymore - and in fact that was the case long before this particular drive - so when the brunette shuts her eyes and half-spins her against the turnbuckle, the REF DECIDES TO STEP IN and terminate this one-sided beatdown... TKO4 Jodi Albert!!!

AFTER: That was quick and very effective from Albert who thrives on her new found exposure and looks to be getting better and better with each fight now. The Carver success didn't do her Hollyoaks Special PPV chances any harm and she caught a truly woeful Ali Bastian tonight and duly stopped her in the tracks. Denise van Outen begins to wonder if Ali can actually score any victory in this event since she looks ever more hittable and vulnerable than Claire Cooper. That's the main point of a heated discussion between the BBU TV anchorwoman and her buddy Tom Hilton in the booth as the O2 Arena prepares for the second fight of the night - which simply must provide more fireworks than Ali Bastian's lacklustre flame out in the opener.

Final result: Jodi Albert def. Ali Bastian TKO4.
