BEFORE: Jodi Gordon stopped Georgia Salpa on her debut last December but still took her fair share of pounding back then and Yasmin Verheijen - coming off a three fight winning streak - vows to annihilate the Aussie model to maintain her high-flying BBU career start. The Dutch beauty pageant wasn't originally scheduled to make the trip Down Under but decided to support Girls Friday Jessica Michibata's bid to take down Krystal Forscutt and the "Green & Gold Magazine" helped to fill out the entire card which oficially opens the BBU beach boxing season.

Jodi remains focused and shows no emotions during the introductions while the smile on Yasmin's face couldn't have been any bigger as she nods to Lioness coach Melanie Brown who tries to fuel some competitive spirit into her protegee; it would be a lethal mistake to underestimate the Aussie model who's still a great mystery for the UK-based pundits & experts.

Jodi Gordon wears a pink & blue schemed bikini and black gloves. Dark brown hair tied in a long ponytail. Yasmin Verheijen wears an orange bikini set and golden gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Apparently Yasmin doesn't rate her opponent all that high and tries to square up to her with her gloves way too low for comfort which meets instant punishment as Jodi rips a flurry of leather upstairs to smack the Dutch ponytail around and gain immediate advantage. Verheijen gets stuck in the thick sand and fails to escape in time with Jodi landing more clean punches up the middle and making the local crowd cheer in visible delight. Before Yasmin finally manages to lock her foe in a tight clinch, she already sports a nasty shiner under the left eye but the worse is still to come - Gordon bumps her off with some jug power and beats her for a left hook on the mouth which dumps the aching Dutch brunette on the ropes where Jodi cleans out her breadbasket to run away with the opening round. The late high earmuff came to the rescue extremely too late and no wonder Lioness coach Mel B. is FURIOUS with her protegee during the interval.

Round 2:
More hits coming from Gordon who dominates the close range battle - Kate Abdo believes the dark-haired model must have trained a lot on the loose surface and it shows thus far. Yasmin's smile is all gone by the minute mark when she realizes that Jodi's not gonna roll out the red carpet but the Aussie punches make even more damage to the pageant's face down the stretch. The Gold Coast crowd cheers their favorite who traps the European guest along the ropes and hammers in a series of jabs to the rack - that clearly catches Verheijen by surprise - before a scything hook across the lips snaps the younger brunette's head back & forth with only the bell coming to the rescue. Mel B. is boiling with anger and looks like she'd want to step into the ring herself but she has to focus on the coaching duties instead.

Round 3:
Yasmin opens the round well picking the older brunette off in mid distance but Jodi quickly restores the home advantage by enforcing the close range and peppering the pageant's midsection. Verheijen gets stuck in the sand again and clearly struggles with her movement which enables Gordon to punish her to the body and completely shut down come the second minute. Verheijen tries some one punch success from the back foot but fails to make it count and gets pummelled back to the ropes down the stretch where Gordon rips more unanswered shots on the ribcage sinking the Dutch girl on soft knees at the bell.

Round 4:
This is not what Mel B. expected after an otherwise excellent start to Yasmin's BBU career but Jodi simply avoids all the pre-fight punishment talk and dishes out one herself instead. She adds further bruises to the younger brunette's face after a quick switch upstairs exposes the mediocre Dutch guard but Yasmin manages to briefly halt the rout when she clinches her foe and bumps her off to center of the ring. Gordon's full of confidence now though and leaps into immediate counter which beats Verheijen's hooking ideas and bursts her lips into a swollen mess on the spot. A one-two follow up on the boobs staggers Yasmin for good and she fails to embrace the subsequent hook on the liver... Ugh! Verheijen shouts in pain and wobbles forward with Jodi crashing into her chest again and making sure the girl stays hurt... the Dutch squeals vanish amid a rampant applause from the crowd which hits the rev limiter when Gordon blasts another hook on the mouth and adds a quick left on the ear TO SEND YASMIN CRASHING DOWN ON HER KNEES just past the two minute mark. "Welcome to Gold Coast, bytch!", Jodi dwells on the knockdown reality before struting back to her corner and the count reaches eight when the aching pageant finally regains the upright stance. She looks shocked more than anything else and it's clear the Georgia Salpa Boxing Day PPV victory was no fluke for the Aussie model. The remainder of the round has the Dutch pageant in constant retreat and the smile is now on her opponent's face; however Gordon prefers to stick more one punch assault rather than blow Verheijen to bits on the spot, she still pounds her back to the turnbuckle and enjoys hammering a late jabbing series on the guts which leaves the Lioness fighter yelping for respite at the bell.

Round 5:
Girls Friday's coach Lauren Berlingeri has joined Mel B. in Verheijen's corner but Kate Abdo believes the fight has reached the point of no return and Jodi shows the younger brunette no respect whatsoever anymore picking her off upstairs in the center of the ring before driving another punishing hook on the liver area. Yasmin wobbles forward with eyes closed and bumps her chin against the model's shoulder but that only enables Gordon to wrap her up in a tummy ravaging series that dumps Verheijen on very wobbly knees come the one minute mark. A quick switch on the boobs gains the separation Jodi needs to blast a left/right cross on the mouth... Yasmin's head swivels to the side and her arms drop by the tummy so the follow up uppercut on the chin lifts her off the sand AND SENDS CRASHING FLAT ON HER BACK moments later... Gordon immediately twerks her booty and suggests the Dutch brunette is no more but she still has to obey to the ref who shoves her into the neutral corner and starts the count... Yasmin sits up at six but can only roll onto all fours at eight and has no strenght left in her to make a full recovery... she slides down on her elbow and spits out some sand from her mouth while looking up to see Jodi standing over her and shaking her right glove way above her head. KO5 Jodi Gordon!!!

AFTER: That's the perfect start for the ACB entourage but also a massive cold shower for Yasmin's prospects - some trigger-happy BBU pundits predicted her challenging the Malika Menard-owned lightweight record of 11 consecutive wins but joining Jessica Michibata on a Gold Coast surfing trip blew straight into her face and probably send Mel B. and Kate Garraway back to the drawing board. "Can you imagine Zoe Salmon crashing the twitter party now?", Kate Abdo reminds everyone about the circumstances of Verheijen's arrival in the Lioness stable but despite tonight's painful defeat, she shouldn't be ruled out from serious divisional contention so quickly. After all, even the current champion, Yasmin's Dutch compatriot Douzten Kroes, has suffered three defeats early in her career.

On the other hand Jodi Gordon slowly but surely builds her own stock among the female celebrity boxing audience. Jennifer Hawkins and Krystal Forscutt have made a lot of noise before and the 30 year old brunette is destined for more prime-time exposure really soon according to Kate Abdo. By the time we see her in the ring again, she probably won't be opening the card anymore but threaten the Main Event billing instead. Looking at her beaming smile while her hand is raised in the air one simply cannot blame "Green & Gold Magazine" for preaching her into future stardom.

Final result: Jodi Gordon def. Yasmin Verheijen KO5.
