BEFORE:  This tournament is probably the last opportunity for Hayley McQueen & Jaye Jacobs to make a deep run in the welterweight title picture and they both know it. Hence the nervous looks before the fight which has a true rematch tag written all over it despite McQueen blasting out Jacobs in February 2015. Jaye's experience should never be counted against her even though new prospect Joan Smalls knocked her out earlier this year.

Hayley McQueen wears a navy blue bikini and white gloves. Blonde hair tied in a bun at the back of her head. Jaye Jacobs wears a pink basque top with black trim, pink hotpants and silver gloves. Brown hair tied in a high curly ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Rounds 1 & 2:
Hayley's longer reach gives her the slight edge as she keeps Jaye in mid range struggle; the Foxfire actress would like to clean the blonde out from inside but is wary of the swinging threat and the blonde keeps the high intensity of her attacks to make sure Jaye fails to settle in the fight and has to accept her terms. However McQueen lacks that big punch execution and has Jacobs coming forward despite plenty of clean punches landing on her face. The blonde doesn't seem much interested in the body assault and maintains the head hunting drill until Jaye finally stuffs her up with a piercing hook on the liver late in the second round. That's not enough to make the desired impression though as McQueen responds with her best strike of the fight to smash Jaye on the left temple right at the bell.

Rounds 3 & 4:
Jaye becomes a little faster on her feet and makes the blonde miss most of her efforts before a quick hook on the chin staggers Hayley half-way through the third round. A lenghty clinch follows as McQueen can't find a better way to survive the close range assault from the actress who peppers her midsection and pushes her to the ropes to keep the TV journalist trapped for remainder of the round. Another overhand miss from Hayley marks the start of the fourth and this enables Jacobs to duck underneath the aerial assault and dig her mitts into the midsection again which clearly makes McQueen uncomfortable and angry in the proccess. Jaye's unleashes the swarming body attack to stay on top of the close range dust up and pounds the blonde back to the ropes one more time where she clips the rack to really make Hayley suffer. A single hand response proves insufficient to halt the Jacobs progress who evens the things out after four rounds.

Round 5:
Hayley finally tries to punish Jaye's body but measures the distance all wrong and meets a scything cross on the nose when Jaye jumps into a leather frenzy and pummels her way between the blonde's guard to sink her on jelly knees with another quick slant on the mouth. McQueen swings more shots over the top but Jaye crashes into her solar plexus with a double jabbing combo and lands another uppercut on the jaw that sends the blonde shaking all over the place. Another thumping cross on the mouth does the trick AND SENDS McQUEEN SPINNING DOWN ON THE CANVAS moments later. Jaye screams out in delight and bunny hops in the ring as the blonde rises back to her feet at seven... the actions quickly resumes but Jacobs beats her rival for a right-on-right overhand and NAILS HER ON THE JAW which lifts Hayley off her feet and sends her crashing against a piercing uppercut on the chin one more time... AND DOWN GOES McQUEEN AGAIN... Jaye thrives on the close range assault and she's trulu broken the blonde's defence here which leaves Denise van Outen and the entire Cardiff Arena impressed... However Hayely rises back to her feet for the second time and vows to contnue the fight. Her eyes look a little misty but the ref gives her one last chance and there's still 25 seconds left on the clock when Jacobs storms in and delivers the money shot... she smacks the stranded journalist straight on the mouth and bends her to the side with eyes closed before a belting hook on the breadbasket SENDS HAYLEY SLIDING DOWN ON HER KNEES... and this time she doesn't get up... she bends her head against the canvas and lets the ref count her out. KO5 Jaye Jacobs!!!

AFTER: Booyah! There's your revenge signed, sealed and delivered! That was simply too much brute force from the Foxfire Atlantic actress in the fifth which ultimately settled the fight in her favor after a cagey start to this first round encounter. One rarely fends off three knockdowns in a span of two minutes & change and most certainly NOT in the welterweight division. Hayley's magnificent run in the BBU meets a crushing stumbling block while Jacobs can already look forward to the winner of Tamsin Egerton vs Nicola McLean next!
