BEFORE: Both these singers have improved a lot since their first meeting back in August 2011 when Mollie King stopped Nadine Coyle inside three rounds. The former Girls Aloud member has firmly dropped the jobber tag and vaulted herself to a flyweight title eliminator where she succumbed to Lily Allen last December whereas The Saturdays babe actually had divisional straps within reach only to get knocked out by Jenna-Louise Coleman back in April. There's no shame in losing to BBU's top pound-for-pound operator but Mollie would like to silence the Irish blonde more than anything else and to do it on her 29th birthday no less!

Round 1:
Neither girl has any connection to Sheffield as Nadine comes from Ulster and Mollie from Greater London so the Bramall Lane crowd just wants to see a solid flyweight dust up and the punches are flying thick & fast early on with Nadine using the longer reach into her advantage and rocking the younger blonde with a steady aerial attack. She pierces Mollie's high guard and sticks her mitts into her cheeks but the birthday girl refuses to buckle and stays in the exchange while getting thumped up the middle wholesale. Coyle gets a little vocal as she tries to drive her foe back to the ropes but eats a flying hook on the temple which makes her a little more wary of the fellow blonde in the closing minute. King's unable to follow up that strike with another one though and both girls clinch each other to see out the clock.

Round 2:
Another feisty start gives Coyle the edge and she rattles King on her heels with a piercing hook on the nose. Mollie yelps in pain but still wants to slam a solid response into her opponent's face only to find the guard and eat another left-right combo on the nose. She wobbles back with her arms dropping low and Nadine crashes into her nose with more thumping menace which dumps the younger blonde butt-in-ropes. Mollie caves in behind a tight earmuff as Nadine launches a gut-checking rally and bends her forward, keeping the high-tempo work rate until King slumps into a yelping dismay. She switches upstairs thereafter and tries to shatter the birthday girl's guard but fails to land that huge punch and must rely on the sheer ammount of strikes to maintain her dominant position for remainder of the round.

Round 3:
Mollie's really upset over her performance until now and she finally secures a hooking breakthrough early in the third when she nails the Irish lass with a hooking route on the chin and follows up with a thumping galore on the midriff. Coyle struggles to stay on top of King in close range and bends forward with a loud gasp when the fellow blonde racks up clean punches on the boobs before swinging wide of the mark again in a desperate effort to tame the Surrey onslaught. Mollie swings back and NAILS Nadine on the nose which spins the older blonde back and a subsequent flurry of birthday leather pounds Coyle back to the ropes and has her gasping for air when Mollie adds more piercing shots on the exposed solar plexus. Coyle slumps into a clinching survival but she can do little about King ravaging her ribcage and almost punching her through the ropes and out of the ring alltogether. The Bramall Lane crowd roars in support and the ref has to haul Mollie off her opponent at the bell as the fight threatens to enter the vicious level any second now.

Round 4:
Hammer & tongs assault in the opening minute leads into Mollie blasting her hooks straight into Nadine's nose again and this time the Irish singer must concede real estate when the birthday girl becomes too efficient and too powerful to shake her off through looping overhand response. Mollie has knocked Jenna Coleman down in her title clash so she's no slouch these days anymore and Nadine just learns this the hard way as the younger blonde pounds her to the ropes thereafter and keeps firing away to the body once the high guard provides the long-awaited safety cushion. There's no stopping King in the final minute as she drills the Irish midsectiont to the point Nadine slumps on soft knees and can only clinch her opponent but still gets tagged on the nose by a not-so-accidental headbutt. Mollie doesn't care about this at all and has to be lectured by the ref after the bell halts her rampant activity.

Round 5:
Coyle looks a little misty-eyed to start the fifth but she jumps into another leather frenzy only to meet a scything cross on the mouth seconds after the bell and wobble into a jug-stuffing uppercut moments later. She screams out in pain but fails to embrace the King follow up which nails her on the temple and sends tripping back to the ropes again. She gets stuck on her heels and dekes the wrong way as Mollie blasts her on the nose with a right cross and adds a left hook on the liver THAT FORCES HER TO TAKE A KNEE on the spot... King shakes her glove in delight and the Irish singer takes a full eight count before nodding back to the ref that she's good to go. However Mollie's all over her after the command and riffles more clean punches over the top to add lumps on that pretty Irish face and keep Nadine firmly under the destructive barrage. Coyle moans her struggles out but fails to connect with her response and when Mollie nails her with an uppercut frenzy, she hits the jelly knees mode again and has the Saturdays blonde rocking her back & forth into the corner. It's a cruel pounding that Coyle's forced to endure and she drops her gloves in the middle of that run which King takes full advanatge of and blasts her on the nose before a right hook sends the gumshield flying out into the stands... AND COYLE SLIDES DOWN ON HER KNEES with eyes closed before coming to a rest face-down at the birthday girl's feet! Take that and smoke some! KO5 Mollie King!!!

AFTER: The Sheffield crowd gives Mollie a standing ovation and she truly smoked Nadine out cold with that last drive. The battle of post-Cheryl Cole era flyweight supremacy ends with The Saturdays girl on top and Charlie Webster admits that she had to earn this honor the hard way after the former Girls Aloud lass dominated the opening six minutes. The music industry lacks a household name in the 110 lbs class after Cheryl deferred to America and Mollie remains the best of the lot after tonight's performance allthough Lily Allen might want to say otherwise really soon!

While Nicola Roberts scored the Upset of The Year over Ellie Goulding earlier tonight, there's no such joy for the Irish singer and Mollie makes sure that Nadine stays down on her face as she plants her foot on her back to pose for the cameras. That's the perfect birthday present for the 29 year old but Mollie's quick to leave Bramall Lane as she makes her way back to London where a special party is scheduled later tonight. No BBU TV reporter was handed the VIP pass for that one but Charlie Webster doesn't sound too downbeat as she labels the first proper fight card in her hometown since 2012 a genuine success! And she's probably right which indicates that BBU will return to Sheffield more often in the foreseeable future.
