Before: You can see Melina on “Providence”, and in the new De Niro flick “15 Minutes”). Kanakaredes a classy boxer puncher who fought her way up the daytime ladder--De Rossi a mirror imagine lanky body finally gets a chance to shin in a 50-50 fight. Blonde has been badly overmatched at time in the past, brunette curls tired back, Portia in red bikini, blonde curls tied back--small gloves for both.

During R1: Explosive start for Portia--she scores a hatchet right hand over a pushing jab from Melina--Greek beauty stumbles to her right and nearly pitches onto her face in the opening seconds. Swishing, slinging barrage of lefts and rights force Kanakaredes ropeside--she’s badly stunned, taking punches on her jaw line as Portia gets her long legs, narrow hips and slender arms all working together. Tactical clinches from Melina slow, but can’t stop the punishment--after referee’s breaks, Portia wades back in, going to Kanakaredes torso with galloping Sharon Stone style alternating uppercuts-Melina shaking at the bell, face blank eyes staring liquidly as the blonde pumps her fist en route to her corner.

R2: Melina jabbing to Portia’s chest, sliding back as the blonde moves in for the kill and Kanakaredes walks the blonde into a beautiful sucker hook on the chin--De Rossi’s turn to do the funky chicken, legs giving way as she staggers to a neutral corner. Kanakaredes more deliberate, measured on follow up--she spears Portia’s face with the jab before diving in with lanky bright hands, finishing off the combinations with a biting left hook that gets the blonde’s head dancing, Portia soaking up horrific connects, hands outstretched, eyes pleading as Melina’s fists crash against bony ribs, setting up a vicious hook on the jaw that drapes Portia sideways over the ropes, AND THE REF JUMPS IN! Portia stunned, barely aware if the stoppage as Melina struts away the TKO2 victor.

After: Heartbreaking disappointment for DeRossi as girls dish out identical beatings--brunette taking it, blonde succumbing to the punishment, Good showing for Melina--prospective bouts against Debra Messing, Angie Harmon could sort out the best of breed between tall, slender beauties.
