Before:  Demi Lovato seems strangely amused to find to find Priyanka Chopra a good 3 inches bigger than she is: “I keep thinking Dani Fishel once telling me ‘The bigger they are than you, the better it looks when their butts bounce off the canvas when you knock them out.’ No offense to your rear end, Ms. Chopra,  I do think I have the power to knock you out. I’ll be honest, I need a win, being a ‘guest boxer’ for Foxfire Atlantic is not same as being managed. If I can’t find a place with either Foxfire outfit, I need to attract the attention of some other group. I am hoping this fight will accomplish that by beating the latest  ‘HISC Hottie’. It’s going to be interesting fighting someone from India. I hope she finds me interesting, too.”

Priyanka just nods politely at the younger American boxer and then takes the podium: “I am certain you will find me most interesting , Ms. Lovato. I may be 1-2 so far in this federation, but I assure you, I have seen many a butt bounce off the canvas from my punching. India is a very large country and a good many of us in the film community love to box. I did very well in Bollywood and I expect to do well with the help of the HISC staff. The one thing they want is winning results and I am determined to give them one in this fight. You will feel the ring floor on your back, Ms. Lovato, and I can only hope there will be a nice bounce when you do.”

Demi gives Priyanka a defiant sneer. Priyanka just smiles confidently.

In the ring, Demi arrives in a silver one piece with black trim, silver gloves and boots with black laces. Bobbed hair swinging loose.  Priyanka in navy blue one piece, gold trim. Gold gloves and boots, navy laces, hair in ponytail secured by golden scrunchy.  Priyanka making sure the size difference is obvious as she crowds in on Demi, who just stands there, hands on hips looking unintimidated, while the referee recites the rules. No further incidents as the fighters go to their corners. The bell sounds.

R1: Definite rush from both fighters to assure dominance in this fight. Priyanka’s got just enough more reach to bang Demi’s head back with driving rights and left to the face. Demi retreats, regroups and then comes back in striking hard at Priyanka’s body. Priyanka feeling those punches, but digging in to drive her own leather up into Demi’s ample chest. Demi grunting as she shifts around, trying to get at Priyanka from an angle, but the Indian boxer keeping up with her. Demi and Priyanka battle it out in close right down to the bell. Priyanka’s body work noted by judges who give her the round by a close margin.

R2:  The battle in close resumes in this second round as the two ladies get right back at it. Demi grinding it in, just driving her arms like pistons as she hammers Priyanka to the body while trying to ignore Priyanka strong counters to the body. Demi’s all-effort to put pressure on the older Priyanka shows results as she starts pushing the Indian boxer back step by hard-fought step. Demi adds some tasty licks off Priyanka’s chin that whips the black-haired beauty’s head around and forces her to retreat she more. Priyanka jabbing hard but she can’t seem to discourage the American, who winds the round, but it’s another close one.

R3: Fighting resumes in close for a third round, but this time Priyanka Chopra strikes first and starts showing some interest in striking at Demi Lovato’s head. Strong right cross/left hook combinations quickly have the smaller fighter on the defensive. Priyanka then hammering Deni to the Demi with deep, meaty hooks that put shudder after shudder into Demi’s body. Priyanka suddenly shifts gears at the two minute mark and feints to the belly, but then sends crashing right uppercut into Demi’s chin. DEMI LOVATO GOES DOWN! Demi on her butt looking dazed as she tries to regain her senses. Priyanka in neutral corner looks hopeful, but Demi is able to beat the count and resume the fight. Demi very cautious after this and gives Priyanka little chance to follow up, but the knockdown assures the Indian beauty a wide win on the cards.

R4:  Demi makes a determined effort to put R3 behind and again sets off a close-range slugfest with Priyanka. Demi again hammering Priyanka to the body, but Priyanka trying to be a more mobile target as she fires back with her own body shots. Hard, grinding action as the two continue to battle for control. Priyanka the first to work in some quick rights and lefts to the head which keep Demi off balance. Demi not backing off much but those head shots are having some effect with her punching accuracy. Priyanka takes a close round, but Demi looks defiant as they turn to their corners.

R5:  Priyanka ready for more close in action, but Demi spends the opening minute making the Indian veteran chase her. Priyanka starts looking frustrated at this and starts lunging after the elusive American. Suddenly, Demi does a reversal and comes pounding in as Priyanka’s guard has been considerably loosened by the pursuit. Demi going after Priyanka’s jaw with hard punching. Priyanka trying to evade but she gets banged hard several times and goes face in gloves. This allows Demi to shift leather into pounding Priyanka’s midsection making her legs tremble, though she remains upright to the bell. Priyanka on rubbery legs getting back to her corner. Demi looking fired up and ready to get back at it.

R6: Demi does, indeed, get right back at it as she swoops in a sluggish and uncertain Priyanka. She drives the Indian boxer back with a fierce body attack that doubles Priyanka over. Then a quick smashing uppercut to the chin AND PRIYANKA CHOPRA FALLS TO HER KNEES! Priyanka looking distressed, struggles to rise as the referee resumes his count and finally manages it. Referee seems to only take a quick look before waving Demi back in. Priyanka gamely tries to use her jab, but she is quickly punched to the ropes and flounders against them. Demi ruthlessly punching at the helpless Priyanka’s head as ringsiders cry out in alarm. THE REFEREE JUMPS IN. Priyanka’s legs finally give out and she sinks into the official’s sheltering arms as Demi raises her arms in triumph.

THE WINNER: DEMI LOVATO TKO6!

After: “I admit she had me worried,” a grinning Demi tells the press, “I could see she was taller and she was tough, but I’d worked on my pressure game. It worked: I broke her down and finished her. Really, that referee should never have let the fight go on. I’m  here to win not seriously hurt someone. My knockdown? I told you she was tough, but so am I. I did go down but I shook it off to win. What’s next? I have no idea. I just hope the right people were watching. I still could use regular management. I hope this helps get me into a good stable.

Priyanka seems more annoyed than discouraged: “I had that girl and I let her get away. She got me to get careless in the 5th Round and I paid the price. I am fine now, but I am more determined than ever to succeed in this fed!”

Close fight for much of the way, but Priyanka Chopra unable to capitalize on that R3 knockdown. Demi Lovato recovered from that trip to the canvas and took command of the fight as the rounds went out. Good win for her which will hopefully bring her additional fights and perhaps even more supportive management.
