Nina Dobrev versus Lea Seydoux

BEFORE: Tensions high in the Lookout! Camp prior to the fight as Nina Dobrev is not happy with her multi-fight losing streak and rumors of“organizational differences” between Ms. Dobrev and her management.

However, Nina comes in looking calm and professional to the bout as she addresses the press with poise, “I'm not going to address rumors or speculation. Anything outside of the ring doesn't matter. Once I step into the ring, it's me against whoever my stable puts in front of me. It's my job to win and that is exactly what I've been doing for years now. My record speaks for itself and when I'm finished with Lea here tonight, there won't be much more to say. I am headed back to the top as soon as possible and that starts tonight!”

Lea talking to press in both French and English, beaming at the opportunity presented before her, “I don't think Nina is vulnerable or distracted to me. To me, she looks like the proud Bulgarian she always has been. However, during this PPV, I'm here to represent my country and I am going to make the French people proud! After tonight, they will be celebrating in France and I'll give them plenty of reasons to!”

Nina doesn't seem intimidated in the least by her surroundings and has brought a healthy level of support from Bulgarian fans with her, who have packed the arena so that they almost outnumber the French here in their own country. Almost. The French show up in droves to support their fighter here tonight as it's a true international contest for this PPV and neither fighter has a huge edge in attendance numbers – with both France and Bulgaria loudly cheering for their fighters in this big match.

R1: Lea stalking Nina across the ring as her left hand is jabbing forward with her right palm just hooking across Dobrev's body. Nina circling and changing directions, pivoting as she tries to angle her way inside but keeps getting intercepted by a stiff forward poke from Seydoux when she attempts to. Surprisingly, Lea the aggressor as she steps in with a short, clouting right hand and then kissing Nina's face with her gloves via left hooks in palm-down delivery. Nina keeps getting nicked as she stays low and tries to power her way inside with minimal success.

R2: Similar stuff here in the second as Nina prowls and rotates across the ring, trying to hammer in across Lea's tits or tummy. But, Lea jabbing her foe backwards and catching her with some right/left combinations. Nina keeps using that power, double-jabbing from her crouch to create some openings and managing to slip by Lea's jab. When she does, it's open season with her gloves, just scoring in a flurry of offense across tummy, jugs and torso with gusto! In the final minute, it's Lea backing away from another series of shots across her tummy and then Nina hops forward, putting her weight behind it with a looping right that snaps right into Seydoux's cheek. Lea is wobbly butt as she staggers backwards, retaining the presence of mind to keep her gloves up as she heads towards the ropes for support and Nina charges forward. But, Lea is saved by the bell as time expires before Nina can really follow up!

R3: Lea resumes a more cautious approach in the third, approaching carefully as she keeps her weight back on her feet and continues to stalk Dobrev around the ring. Lea careful and deliberate, keeping note of her footwork, but when she switches over to an offensive mode, she delivers skillfully off the jab with some stunning right-left combinations! Nina continues to try to pick up where she left off last round and weave her way inside, but Lea not backing down when they go toe-to-toe. The two of them ring one another up inside of a phone box, just lathering away at one another and Nina leaves the exchange frowning, finding her foe difficult to take down here in the third when she thought she smelled blood as the ref pulls them apart.

R4: The two of them head back to the center of the ring as Lea comes forward, stalking and cutting off the ring as the two of them jump in aggressively. But, Nina getting the worst of it as she is getting brushed-backwards with a steady diet of right and left jabs. Lea keeping her elbows in tight and guard up high, enabling a more snappy delivery as Nina is jabbed backwards to the ropes, back touching those hated strands for the first time. Nina keeps bobbing in the pocket, however as Seydoux bounds forward, sending in left hooks shoveling forward to dig into Nina's torso. Dobrev groaning, suffering under Lea's body work and Seydoux picks up the pace as Nina tries to tie up Seydoux. Lea clinches with Nina briefly, then tosses her back towards the ropes angrily as she keeps pounding away at her breadbasket. Nina doing her best to fight off of the ropes, but Lea not letting her get off as the round ends with Seydoux doubling her foe over with a right-left combination as Dobrev is left gasping and holding onto the ropes for support as Seydoux struts away confidently.

R5: Nina barreling out of her corner to mount a spirited early rush, just looking to trap Seydoux along the ropes with left and rights aimed for Lea's head. Gloves crashing into her cheeks and forehead, brushing along her head and shoulders to batter her backwards as Seydoux stumbles back in surprise, shooting out the jab to cover her up in retreat. Nina emboldened, pouncing in, just switching over to offense entirely as she just keeps pounding up top, using that Bulgarian power to hammer her foe, swiveling her head as Lea manages to get her gloves up as she pivots to the side a bit and fires out a left hook to her tummy. Nina caught by surprise, frozen for a moment as she suddenly is clipped by a right uppercut across her chin that deposits her to the canvas! DOBREV IS DOWN! Nina on her back, struggling to get up, clearly dazed as her body just won't seem to respond to her commands and slumps back to the mats as the count passes her by, awarding the win to Lea Seydoux via KO5!

AFTER: Lea bounds around the ring with excitement, raising her hands up to the air as she screams out, “VIVE LA FRANCE!” as the France national anthem blares over the loudspeakers. The French contingent, which are numerous and boisterous, cheer loudly as Lea mounts the turnbuckle, pounding her chest with excitement at one of her biggest wins yet in the FCBA. Nina looks distraught and upset at her loss, but is determined not to steal the moment away from the French bantamweight star as the two of them share a hug before Nina leaves the ring. A Lookout! Boxing representative offers to accompany her, but Nina declines as she leaves with one of her best friends and often rivals, Candice Accola. Afterwards, Lea resumes making the most of the moment to celebrate, getting almost literally showered in French champagne as she high fives and takes selfies with French and plenty of international fans who are coming to appreciate her more with each and every win! Lea exits the ring to cheers, and the arena booming as they have transitioned into well-deserved chants of “VIVA LA LEA!”. Hearing this, Lea can't help but simply beam after her triumph here at home!
