Sayuki Matsumoto vs. Jennifer Lawrence
(result:Lookout/words:simgrrl)

LIVE FROM TOKYO DOME

Lawrence, the mega-star of three “X-Men” films (the latest “X-Men: Apocalypse” is currently showing in Japan) and her own “Hunger Games” franchise, is on tour promoting her new film, “Bad Blood” - the story of a woman who founds a bio-tech company that skyrockets her to fame with an estimated value in the billions. But then federal agencies began investigating and her integrity is called into question.

“Anyone who's in the public eye,” J-Law quoted as saying, “knows how it feels when people start poking around in your private life. We've all had our share of 'misquotes' or statements from 'friends' supposedly saying something nasty about us in a tabloid that's, well....like, just totally made up! I felt for this woman and I wanted to portray her story on the screen.”

As reported in “Bustle” Taylor Swift recently indoctrinated Jennifer Lawrence into her exclusive friendship club (that includes Selena Gomez, Lorde, Karlie Kloss, Lena Dunham and Cara Delevingne, and several other 'bold face names'). The friendship had taken off from the time J-Law photo bombed the “Bad Blood” singer at the Golden Globes 2014 red carpet. Ever since the news, Japanese “Swifties” can't get enough Jen Lawrence... and she returns their ardor, having made Japan a regular stop on her publicity tours for “X-Men” and “Hunger Games” films since 2015!

Sayuki Matsumoto is an 'actress', a DVD movie idol; a sexy bikini girl; and a race queen model who's acting is known for three films: Chocolate Derringer (2009), Paco and the Magical Book (2008) and The Hands. 2011 was expected to be a big year for Sayuki who in March announced the release her first starring film, “Destroy Vicious.” But those plans ran into several snags, and she signed on with the BBU where she quickly became better known for her fists than for her “body” of work.

Matsumoto's boxing career has been more successful than her film career (see her full record below). In her 14 wins, Sayuki has knocked out 13 opponents with what's been described as “welterweight power” making victims of some “big” names (Kurkova, Arcuri, Mattson, Vandervoort, and Abbie Cornish, twice).

While all three of Sayuki's losses came to Westerners (Kroes, Michalka, & Kerr) twelve of her fourteen victories were over Westerners, so it's not surprising she “feels very comfortable” fighting European and North American women; adding with a sly grin, “...especially their blondes.”

Sayuki continues her successful modeling career, posing for the type of semi-clad gravure photos that made her a staple on newsstands throughout Japan and much of Asia when Jen Lawrence was busy becoming a “role model” for young women on every continent!

TALE OF THE TAPE
Matsumoto: 5'8”, 125#, 36E-24-35, 30 yo, 14-3-1 (w/13 KO's; former BBU L/W Champion)
[u[Lawrence[/u]: 5'9”, 130#, 36C-26-36, 25 yo, 21-12-1 (w/19 KO's)

Attire. Matsumoto is introduced first and bounces down the aisle to the ring wearing an ankle length black leather coat which she slowly removes on the ring apron, then folds and hands to her seconds. She's in a baby blue lace bikini, black gloves and black shoes. As she did her slow, sexy, striptease routine, the men in the audience stood to cheer and applaud her. The women, on the other hand - especially Lawrence's teenage girl fans, sat stone-faced.

But when Lawrence's name is announced, and she stepped out wearing a traditional Japanese 'crane' kimono of bright blue and white, the women and girls all clapped excitedly. Even the men who'd come to ogle Sayuki nodded their approval of her tasteful traditional garb. Jen glides gracefully down the aisle to the ring and, once she's in the ring, she carefully removed the kimono to reveal a modest two-piece white bikini with white gloves/shoes.

During R1: Lawrence - well aware of Matsumoto's punching power - looks to end the fight earlier rather than later and she comes out firing on all cylinders, throwing caution (and cliches) to the wind! But Sayuki's a solid, sturdy, well-trained, boxer...not some slight Asian waif... and she takes the best Lawrence has to give and returns it blow for blow! Their frenetic, back and forth, action has the fans engaged from the get-go and the two fighters don't disappoint their fans who came expecting to see action.
The early edge goes Lawrence's way as, on the attack, she rolls up Matsumoto with a withering body attack that sees the sturdy Japanese woman stacked and jacked in her own corner as J-Law helps herself to some of Sayuki's scrumptious, lush, body! Hard hooks and chopping crosses to the flanks and belly have Matsumoto hanging on in the early going and Lawrence's fans are ecstatic at the prospect of an early end. But once J-Law's adrenaline-fueled onslaught runs its course, it's Sayuki's turn and she hammers Jennifer back on her heels, then drives her stutter-stepping backward across the ring where she pins Lawrence on the ropes and gives her a dose of her own body-bashing medicine for thirty or forty agonizingly long seconds.
The final minute sees both women landing thunderous punches that send shock waves rippling like Tsunami's through their thick bodies. It's in the final ten seconds that the round is finally decided as Lawrence catches Matsumoto with a left hook-right cross combination, then buckles her knees with a straight right as Sayuki's hands drop to her chest. J-Law is winding up for more when the bell rings and she just manages to pull up short as she throws a second right which comes within inches of Sayuki's chin. Jennifer wins round on points (close!)

R2: Matsumoto showing remarkable recuperative powers as she is up standing before the bell looking none the worse for her last second shellacking. Sayuki circling left behind a stiff jab in the first minute, using her legs to keep Lawrence from gaining the angle on her - forcing the blond to chase. Lawrence not as comfortable in pursuit as attack; getting over anxious at times, missing and leaving herself exposed to right hand counters by the wily Japanese.
Second minute, a left hook from Lawrence slides off Matsumoto's sweaty belly and smacks the underside of her left breast, nearly unseating it from her bra. Sayuki, red-faced with anger, unleashes a furious attack on Lawrence's bosom, smashing and bashing her with six or seven consecutive punches that end with J-Law hanging on around Sayuki's neck with both hands while she rests her head on the gravure model's shoulder as she blinks back tears. Shaking her head 'no' J-Law pushes away and cuffs Sayuki in the cheek with a left, taking a short right to the ribs in exchange. The two trade broadsides toe-to-toe for the next thirty seconds before Lawrence is forced to back off wincing.
Last minute of the round sees Lawrence chasing Sayuki with her left in Matsumoto's face to distract her while frequently landing the right which she throws straight from the shoulder. Sayuki appearing unhurt by the punches, nevertheless is being kept too busy ducking and blocking to be able to do much punching of her own, so although Sayuki wins the second round, which, like the first was...close.

R3: Matsumoto's corner (Owner/manager Ayako Hamada and Head Trainer Kei Mizutani) busy instructing her between rounds... once Hamada jabs Sayuki in the belly with her index finger to emphasize one of Kei's points! Lawrence more or less on her own, with just Lohan and J-Law's Japanese entertainment attorney in support. Lohan more interested in posing for Paparazzi at ringside, leaving it to J-Law's Japanese attorney to massage her neck and give her water.
Matsumoto a woman on a mission; charging out of her corner to bull rush J-Law back into her corner, nearly lifting her off her feet. Bodying up, Sayuki hurls lefts and rights into Jen's belly, hammering away with her forehead on Lawrence's chest pinning her like a butterfly on the turnbuckles! Lawrence, red-faced, absorbing a belly beating; hands ear-muffing Sayuki as she tries in vain, to wrestle her way out of the corner. It's only when the referee breaks them that J-Law is able to scamper out into the middle of the ring where she retreats behind her jab trying to catch her breath while Matsumoto stalks her like a lioness with a gazelle!
Jen trying to circle left, getting cut off by the nimble Japanese; again wrapped up in a bearhug and heaved backward onto the ropes where Jen is forced to crouch behind her peek-a-boo gloves as Sayuki batters her flanks with both hands. Girls heads scrubbing at close quarters, Matsumoto's biceps bulging as her flexed arms snap out punch after punch, gutting the American blond and taking her breath away with one cracking blow after another.
J-Law hanging on, having trouble punching back as her counters are constantly being muffled by Sayuki's hulking body leaning into hers and making her take her weight! The Japanese ex-champion not head-hunting, spending all her energy attacking J-Law's mid-section, leaving her - at the bell - limp and breathless draped on the ropes with her bowed knees struggling to keep her upright! Sayuki wins the round (wide); her body attack shocking J-Law who can't find an answer.

R4: More of the same. Matsumoto back on top of Lawrence early, not letting the younger blonde get into any kind of rhythm. Lawrence pounded backward around the ring, driven from one corner to the other as she retreats under the pressure of Sayuki's heavy-handed body attack. Referee no help, as he lets Matsumoto have her way with Lawrence on the ropes for far too long in Lohan's opinion (the Academy brat barking protests at the referee...whenever she's not posing for photographers.)
Jennifer's face a bright red as she's struggling to breathe thanks to Matsumoto's hard, hard, body punching but J-Law scoring with the occasional left hook as she retreats. Last half of the round, Sayuki goes all-in on Lawrence's middle and it pays dividends as J-Law's counter-punching drops off until the final minute sees the blond hunched forward; her butt stuffed in the ropes; her head on Sayuki's shoulder, as Matsumoto chug-chug-chugs uppercuts into Lawrence's soft tummy....then she takes her measure of J-Law's juggs with a brief flurry after the bell!
Lawrence meandering toward her corner, blinded by her tears streaming down, as she cups her aching bosom with trembling, gloved, hands as Sayuki struts around with her arms raised and her own...mostly untouched...bosom heaving excitedly. Sayuki takes the round (close) but she continues to dominate Lawrence's body at close range.

R5: Lawrence fighting back angrily this round, her right hand setting Sayuki back on her heels early, then Jen manages to, finally, get into a rhythm from long range. Once J-Law is out of Matsumoto's “power zone” she finds she can do damage while at the same time giving her belly a rest. Lawrence whipping her right hand around and burying it in Sayuki's left side; her left hook picking up Matsumoto's chin time and again as the busty Japanese beauty tries to protect her left side ribs from harm.
Lawrence a different fighter coming forward behind the firm jab we haven't seen since the opening moments! Time and again, J-Law 'wrong footing' Matsumoto, catching her with the right when she's fixated on the left; hammering that left hook in under the right elbow when Sayuki's overly wary of the overhand right. Lawrence putting on a clinic as she dominates the fight for the first time since the opening minutes! Late: Matsumoto throwing caution to the winds, bulls her way inside, tying up Jen Lawrence's hands as she gets going (hard) to the American's soft midsection!
Last sixty seconds an agonizing time for Lawrence who is once again, hanging on; giving up her body to protect her head. Still, on balance, Jennifer Lawrence wins round on points (close) although Matsumoto's corner looks upbeat and positive in the aftermath!

R6: Shutout Lawrence! Jen has found the key to victory, all she has to do now is turn it in the lock (and not fumble away the opening it gave her!) J-Law once more getting on top of Matsumoto in the opening minute and hammering away with lefts to the body and rights to the head. Whenever there's an opportunity, Matsumoto goes what she's always done best, bash bust...smashing her fists into J-Law's bra whenever she sees an opening. Lawrence reeling with 'hooter hurt', but not letting the pain deflect her from her mission!
A little check hook by Jennifer staggers Matsumoto midway thru the round and J-Law jumps forward to finish! Lawrence hammering lefts and rights into the flesh between Sayuki's waistband and bra; bringing the uppercuts slamming up under those prodigious protruding puppies. Sayuki red-faced, panting, unable to get her breath, as Lawrence bashes her backward across the canvas, then stacks her up in her own corner; wailing away with that brutal right hand to the breadbasket.
Down the stretch, Jennifer Lawrence is “all in” looking for the KO but Matsumoto's a wily old pro and she clinches, tying J-Law up in a tangle of arms and legs as the clock winds down. Jennifer wrestling and squirming, frantically trying to free herself from Sayuki's clutches but the Japanese is a skilled grappler in addition to being a ferocious boxer, and she refuses to give Lawrence the chance to escape her bearhug. Jennifer wins round via shutout; imposing her will as the older Matsumoto fades a bit.

R7: Sayuki's corner (Hamada and Mizutani) scampering around, grabbing bottles of elixir and moist towels infused with magic tonics...anything to resuscitate their fighter. Across the ring, Lohan fires up a blunt while J-Law's entertainment lawyer fumbles with the screw top of her water bottle, accidentally pouring the ice cold liquid down the top of Jen's suit! Lawrence obviously stimulated by the icy liquid - is on her feet at the bell ready to go back and do battle!
Matsumoto clinching early, Lawrence forced to battle on Sayuki's terms; thumping her in the sides with either fist while she tries to wriggle free of the buxom Japanese's smothering embrace. Lawrence well aware Sayuki's massive mammaries are overwhelming her perky puppies, but Jen's not here to trade taa-taa shots and she delivers a couple of kidney shots that force Sayuki to back off!
Lawrence firing on all cylinders as Matsumoto reels back to the ropes in disarray; J-Law hooking her left in under Matsumoto's right as the Asian assassin tries to force a clinch. J-Law chopping her right down over Sayuki's pawing left jab again and again, buckling the Asian's knees! Up the middle comes Lawrence, uppercutting Matsumoto and sending her reeling back against the ropes. Bodying up, J-Law digs a right, left and another right into the mid-section of Matsumoto. Sayuki flailing with both hands, slowly slumping forward as her butt slides down the ropes until she's sitting on the canvas, her head and shoulders cantilevered out over the apron supported by the middle strand.
As Lawrence winds up to punch again, the referee wraps her up and pulls her away, then shoves her toward the far corner before he turns and waves off the rest of the fight as poor Sayuki coughs up a surprising KO7 to Jennifer Lawrence!

After: Lawrence, as you might expect, is excited and bounces around the ring with her arms raised while Hamada and Mizutani drag Matsumoto back to her corner and prop her up on the stool. As soon as Jen Lawrence can get rid of her gloves, she makes a bee-line over to Sayuki's corner to check on her. Lawrence kneels in front of Sayuki, her hand on Matsumoto's shoulder as they talk briefly, then Jen bends over and hugs her awkwardly while Matsumoto is sitting dazed and in shock on her stool.

Later, Lawrence can't say enough good things about her opponent. “Sayuki's a tough out, no doubt about it. She had me hurt several times and it was all I could do to hang on and get thru those early rounds,” she sighed. “I can see why she was the BBU lightweight champion, she's that good and if she were fighting in FCBA, she'd be a perennial top ten contender. She's a light who hits like a welter, it doesn't get much tougher than that.”

Sayuki was equally gracious, praising Lawrence's “guts” and her “fighting spirit” even as she said she wanted a rematch... because she “know I can beat her.”

Two days later, a promoter announced that he was negotiating with Matsumoto and Lawrence to Sumo wrestle in the Tokyo Dome, headlining a card that included Lohan vs. Matsugane in a best of three falls match.
