BEFORE:

"My fans keep saying," says Olivia with a smile and a shake of the head, "You ought to be fighting in the FCBA. And, I keep telling them, 'Look, the first time someone signs a contract to fight me, I'll get in the ring'. Well. Stewart signed the contract. So, let's do this!"

"She's actually my kind of girl," says Kristen with a nod. "She smart. She's a great actress. And she doesn't take any crap. So, tonight isn't personal. It's a job. I'll get it done and I'll go back to liking her."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'The Underdog' by Spoon..."

McCarthy: "Spoon. Seriously? SPOON! I can not BELIEVE how bad the music is around here! I'll ask again. Where does Weirdo GET this stuff, and why doesn't he play any GOOD music???"

O'Dell (sighing): "And, here we go again..."

McCarthy: "What's next, Fork? Are we going to hear the greatest hits of FORK next month? How about SPORK? When do we get to hear some music from SPORK? I'm sure THEY'VE done a terrible song! And, of course, there's always KNIFE..."

O'Dell: "If I HAD a knife, I'd use it to cut off my EARS so I wouldn't have to LISTEN to this again. Now, can we concentrate on the ring, where the lovely Olivia Thirlby is climbing in to be helped off with the robe? Thirlby looking quite fetching in that black number..."

Tess: "We say it all the time, but, there's no question she's in top shape for this fight..."

McCarthy: "Nowhere NEAR Playmate material, but even SHE has a better body than her opponent..."

O'Dell: "Aaaaannnnnnddddd that's 'Helter Skelter' by four pretty famous lads from Liverpool you hear, and that can only mean the FCBA's biggest Beatles fan, 'The Five-Tool Player', Kristen Stewart, is on her way to the ring!"

Cassie: "K-Stew sitting right on top of the Front Street flyweight division, and, with Leighton Meester now not far behind, she needs a win tonight to stay there..."

Tess: "No doubt about that, BFF."

O'Dell: "Stewart into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that lime green two piece she likes. And, we're about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess favors Kristen. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Typical. Dancing. Hooker. Opponent. No. FCBA. Wins. Stewart."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Here we go. Stewart wants to get to work with that jab right off the bat, but Thirlby's using a high guard and counter clockwise turn, she's making Kristen turn with and going counter-puncher here. Stewart having to work hard to get square and get that left on and Olivia doing a good job of scoring in counter."

Cassie: "This is what we saw from Thirlby on the video of her fights from lower levels."

O'Dell: "It is, indeed. Smart, slick stuff from the pretty brunette. She's boxing pretty well here early, holding her own with Stewart, who's, of course, an excellent boxer herself. Kristen slowing the pace a little, trying to get into some sort of rhythm here, but Olivia not allowing that. It's a very disruptive style Thirlby fights, isn't it, Mac?"

McCarthy: "What we're seeing now...yes. It's a little unorthodox. She has the head kind of tucked, she's got the mitts high, she's picking off punches and countering."

O'Dell: "Kind of letting Stewart set her offense up for her, and that's why Kristen's slowing the pace, being more deliberate, more careful, trying not to give Olivia as many openings, but, the slower pace working to Thirlby's advantage right now. Final seconds ticking away in the first. Not a whole lot in it, but Thirlby's round."

Tess: "Good way for a girl in her first FCBA fight to start."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second underway and a lot of passivity from Stewart right now. Kristen moving the feet, bobbing the head, not doing much in the way of punching. Olivia willing to play this defensive game. She's waiting Kristen out, popping out the odd jab here and there, staying in a defensive posture."

McCarthy: "These kinds of fighters can drive you absolutely crazy if you're an aggressive fighter like me."

O'Dell: "Stewart not looking like she's being driven crazy, but she's getting nothing done here. She's probing with the left hand, but not finding any holes in Olivia's defenses. Thirlby moving the feet, turning, giving a little ground, playing the geometry game very, very well. Stewart trying to solve the problem..."

Tess: "But, looking stumped right now, Jenny."

O'Dell: "Sure is and there's a big flurry from Thirlby! Surprised Stewart, who gives some ground here and Olivia all buzz sawing all of a sudden! She throws Kristen right onto the defensive, backing her up with a blizzard of punches, flurry after quick flurry here right to the bell! That was some good stuff right there, and Thirlby takes a close round and wins it going away with the late rally."

Cassie: "Well, people said she was smart coming in. And, she's all of that."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third begins with Kristen coming forward. Stewart a little tactical change. She's being more aggressive here, getting the left out, dropping the right behind, not worrying about counters. Thirlby giving ground, but making sure to continue the lateral movement while she's doing so."

Cassie: "Nice adjustment from K-Stew. She's got Thirlby on the back foot, making the counters less effective."

O'Dell: "Stewart putting her offense together for the first time. She's landing hard, accurate stuff and THERE'S A SOLID RIGHT HAND that wobbles Olivia! Thirlby's knees do a shimmy and now Stewart going to work with both hands. She is LIGHTING Olivia up in big way, driving her back against the ropes."

Tess: "Still about a minute to go here. And it's going to be a long minute for Olivia."

O'Dell: "That it might, but Thirlby showing that excellent defense on the ropes. She's moving the head and shoulders, rolling with, picking punches off, jabbing back in spots. Stewart scoring plenty, but she's not able to find the switch. Five seconds to go, and there's the bell. It's Kristen wide, but Olivia lives to fight the fourth."

McCarthy: "And, she's still ahead, 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Fourth round sees that aggressive Stewart back again. She's moving forward looking to consolidate. Thirlby seems to have the legs back, holding ground and countering with solid right hands. Stewart flurrying right back and we're seeing some good, two-way stuff for the first time here, as both ladies are scoring well..."

Cassie: "This is more of the way I thought this might play out, with Stewart pushing pace and Thirlby countering."

O'Dell: "And, those are the terms we've settled on, at least for the moment. Action-packed stuff, as flurry is met with flurry. Both girls playing good defense, but both showing plenty of accuracy on the offensive side. No surprise from Kristen, that's her game, but credit to Thirlby who's getting it done in her first FCBA action."

Tess: "Can't help but like what she's doing. She's holding her own with a top ten fighter."

O'Dell: "That she is, both in the fight itself and here in this round. We're coming down the stretch in a fast-paced fourth. Stewart a SOLID one-two and Thirlby a NASTY right-hand counter. Fifteen seconds left. Stewart lands a left to the head and a hook to the body and Thirlby counters with a big flurry to the bell! Great round. Close. Olivia again."

McCarthy: "And, the kid is up 39-37 after four."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "We move to the fifth and Stewart again coming forward behind that left jab. Thirlby again going counter in this situation, retaliating smartly as Kristen tries to push pace and get punches put together. Stewart determined to grab canvas here, and slowly doing so. Got some reach working for her and that accurate left hand..."

McCarthy: "Thirlby doing exactly what she should be doing. Holding as best she can, giving when she has to, staying with the counter-punch."

O'Dell: "SOLID right hand counter Olivia and there's a BLISTERING FLURRY FOR STEWART AND THIRLBY'S HURT! Kristen a three-punch combination and the middle punch, a straight right hand, the one that did the damage. Olivia wobbled and now Stewart all in looking to finish. She's backing the older woman up, battering her into the ropes."

Cassie: "Olivia playing defense well, just like she did in the third. Keeping that guard high, moving the head and shoulders."

O'Dell: "Stewart able to find chinks in the armor this time. She's having some stuff blocked, but she's also landing solid shot and THERE'S A RIGHT HAND! Thirlby almost going down. Managing to stay on her feet, but the ref isn't going to watch much more of this. Fortunately, time running out here in the fifth. Ten seconds. Stewart a final flurry and there's the bell. Kristen wide."

Tess: "But, Olivia still up 48-47."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Stewart after Thirlby now. Kristen looking to finish while the finishing is good, so to speak. She's got the left jab working, stepping forward, forcing Olivia back. Thirlby trying a back and circling, looking to buy time with space, but Kristen not having it. She continues to close, drop hard right hands, very aggressive stuff right now..."

Cassie: "Stewart's proven to be one of Front Street's best finishers."

O'Dell: "Thirlby trying to stay off the ropes, here, doesn't want to be cornered. Kristen doing a great job of moving the feet. Stewart very athletic, as we've seen, and she's cutting the ring, closing Thirlby's escape routes, banging away at her with heavy stuff. Olivia covering up and DOWN SHE GOES! Stewart catches Thirlby with a right hook and Olivia dropped face-first to the canvas."

McCarthy: "Left jab set that up. Caught her flush and opened her for the right."

O'Dell: "Count at three. Four. Five. Olivia pushing up to hands and knees. Count at six. Seven. Eight. Thirlby shaking the head, trying to clear it. Nine. TEN! It's over! Olivia can't get off the knees and it's over! And your winner by KO6 in clinical fashion is 'The Five-Tool Player', Kristen Stewart!"

Tess: "Result no surprise, but you've got to give Thirlby credit. She didn't look out of her depth in there."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Kristen Stewart, and, K-Stew, she's pretty tricky, isn't she?"

Kristen (nodding): "Good defensively. Very good counter-puncher. A girl like her, she can cause problems. But, like I've said before, I'm a problem solver."

Tess: "What's next for you?"

Kristen: "I'm open to whatever management wants to do, whatever opportunities I get. We've got a lot of 2016 left. Who knows what might happen?"
