BEFORE:

"It's great to get an opportunity here at Asylum," says Emily with a gorgeous smile. "I'm ready to move up to the main roster, and, beating Leven tonight will give me JUST the push I need."

"Clearly, Ms. Ratajkowski thinks she's going to use me as some sort of stepping stone," says Leven with a smile of her own. "Only, I'll be the one doing the stepping, over her prone body."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Love Somebody' by Maroon 5, and here comes the star of that video, the lovely Emily Ratajkowski!"

McCarthy: "Wasn't she in that 'Blurred Lines' video? Why isn't she coming to the ring to that song?"

Tess: "Because she hates them both, the song and the video."

McCarthy: "That's OK. I like this song better, anyway. That Adam Levine is so DREAMY..."

O'Dell (sighing): "And, before Mac goes all 'Tiger Beat' on us, let's turn our attention to the ring. Emily climbing in and being helped off with the robe by the Equipo Secundario corner crew. And that lacy purple number doesn't leave a lot to the imagination..."

McCarthy: "Yes, I'm going to have to agree, it's kind of shameless...where are you GOING Walmart..."

Tess: "I'm moving away so that I'm not struck when the LIGHTNING BOLT hits..."

McCarthy: "What are you talking about?"

Cassie: "Well, I think what Tess is saying is, when it's an upset when someone actually shows up in public WITH clothes on, that person probably shouldn't criticize what someone else is wearing..."

McCarthy: "What? I..."

Tess: "Wait for it.."

McCarthy: "SHUT UP, SCABBO! And you, too, Walmart!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys, while you listen to 'Stray Heart' by Green Day in the background and watch 'The Houston Solution', Leven Rambin, make her way to the ring."

Cassie: "No question a big fight for Rambin tonight. She's had a good year thus far, but she's still on the bottom of Front Street's bantamweight pecking order."

O'Dell: "Rambin into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. There's that bubblegum pink two-piece Tess hates..."

Tess: "That color is AWFUL..."

O'Dell: "And, we're ready for some picks. Tess favors Leven. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Well, Ratajkowski actually HAS an FCBA win, and Rambin's just another one of Weirdo's failed experiments. Emily."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess."

O'Dell: "And, we're underway. Two rangy bantams, so, no surprise that we get to gunnery range right away and Rambin wasting no time getting punches put together. She's backing up Emily immediately. Ratajkowski taking heaving fire. Giving ground here. Rambin stepping in behind the jab, getting off with plenty behind it."

McCarthy: "Ratajkowski needs to get the head and feet moving a bit more. Rambin's got the range."

O'Dell: "No question about it, Mac, and she's all OVER Emily. Ratajkowski not hurt, but she's being backed up, forced to cover up as the blonde is in an early zone here. Leven not getting too aggressive, staying very sound, but she is giving it to Emily in a big way. Brunette backed to the ropes now..."

Cassie: "These last thirty seconds will not be fun for Ratajkowski."

O'Dell: "It doesn't look that way. Rambin with flurry after flurry now, lighting the brunette up. Emily countering in spots, but being suppressed pretty well by the accurate fire from the blonde. BIG combination from Rambin forces Ratajkowski to cover up. And there's the bell! Dominant opener for Leven."

Tess: "Nice way to start. Grab the first wide and lead 10-9."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second underway and an immediate adjustment from Emily. She's using a step right to get off square, angling Rambin, and it's working pretty well. Leven no longer able to land almost at will, and, instead, we settle down into two-way ranged boxing. Ratajkowski got quite the talking to in the corner between rounds, Mac..."

McCarthy: "That's what you have a corner for. She's an inexperienced fighter and she was just not in the right spots in that first round."

O'Dell: "Doing a much better job of being there now. Emily athletic, moves very well. Both fighters showing good footwork here in the second. Both setting up right hands with the jab, putting punches together well. Neither girl able to grab control this time around. It's good, back and forth stuff."

Cassie: "And, this is just what Emily needed. She just wanted to settle this down after the first."

O'Dell: "And, she's done that. Ratajkowski holding her own very well in the second round. She's getting off in combination, finding the range, and punching with Rambin. Plenty of action in this second round. Both fighters busy. Both pretty accurate. Lots of scoring done right to the bell. Close one. To Emily."

Tess: "And, we're even at 19 after two."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Settling in now in the third. Both fighters boxing, playing angles, using the left jab to set up the right hand. Both showing good defense, moving the hands and feet. Lot of length between these two, especially for this weight, and they're using it. This really is pretty good stuff from both fighters."

Cassie: "And, it's important for both, too. Ratajkowski looking to take a step forward with every fight at this point in her career, and Rambin, of course, wants to show she's doing the same thing."

O'Dell: "And, both are looking plenty good right now. Brunette a bit more aggressive in this stanza, and the blonde answering that aggression. We're seeing a bit higher work rate as the round goes on. It's good, even, two-way stuff, though, just like what we saw in the second. Not much in it at the moment."

McCarthy: "I think Scabbo's half right. I'm impressed with Ratajkowski. She might have a future in the FCBA. Rambin's just a failed Dancing Hooker."

O'Dell: "Coming into the final seconds now. Leven a GOOD right hand that backed Emily up, but Ratajkowski right back at her with a solid combination. We're getting pretty close to it being ON in the final ten seconds as we get a HUGE exchange in which both girls land heavy shot to the bell. Rambin close."

Tess: "And, that puts her back in the lead, 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Pattern looking pretty set now. Both fighters very comfortable with ranged boxing and neither going to make a change unless she's forced to. Lots of subtle movement from both fighters now. Head bobs, little feints with hands and feet, lots of things designed to create openings. And, again, good stuff, ladies."

Tess: "This is as good as either of these girls have looked, I think. Management for both of them has to be happy with what they're seeing."

O'Dell: "Of course, the management of only one is going to be happy with the result. And, just what that will be is certainly in the balance as we roll through round three. Neither woman gaining control of the fight. Both working hard and staying on the offensive. Both landing a good percentage, Mac..."

McCarthy: "Definitely accurate punching. No slop here. Good, technical boxing."

O'Dell: "And, as we roll into the last 30 seconds, the work rate picks up again. Veteran move by both fighters, trying to grab this round right at the end. BIG exchange that sent sweat flying and then ANOTHER big exchange as we go to the bell. Not much in it at all, ladies, but Ratajkowski claims the thing close."

Cassie: "And, we're even again at 38."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth round starts just like the last three have, and settles quickly into some good, technical stuff. Emily bobbing the head, landing a good left, following up with a solid right. Leven doubling up on the left hand, moving the feet AND LANDING A BIG RIGHT HAND! A BOOMING right from Rambin and Emily's knees do a shimmy!"

Tess: "No IDEA how she didn't go down! That thing landed just about flush!"

O'Dell: "And now Rambin all over Emily like Lawrence Taylor's 'pack of crazed dogs'. She's rocking the brunette, wobbling her with punch after punch. Referee not going to watch much of this. Ratajkowski stumbling back into the ropes, putting up the earmuff, going to try to ride this out. Leven winging away with both hands to try to find the 'off' button."

Cassie: "And, if she lands one more big one, it's not going to matter, because the referee's going to stop if FOR her."

O'Dell: "Emily countering here and there, keeping the guard high, rolling with the punches, hanging on here. Thirty seconds to go. Leven still blitzing away, but Emily shipping and staying on her feet. Ten seconds left in this one. Rambin one more good right hand, but Emily going to survive. There's the bell. Rambin wide."

McCarthy: "And, she's up 48-47, but she might be sorry she couldn't finish right then."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Rambin right at Ratajkowski now, going big here early trying to finish. Emily playing defense, backing and countering. Rambin a little sloppy right now, and Emily making her pay in the counter. Ratajkowski still a little wobbly, but she's got some sting in those punches and the blonde is feeling them."

McCarthy: "Levin missing more than she's landing right now. Too aggressive."

O'Dell: "No question about it, and she's beginning to realize same. Blonde going back to boxing now, setting range with the left and then working the right. Emily responding in kind. She's solidifying her front and getting back to even terms. More impressive stuff from the brunette, don't you think, ladies?"

Tess: "Definitely. She looked close to done a few minutes ago, and she's recovered very well and gotten back to work."

O'Dell: "And, she's not just working, but working effectively, as is Rambin. Back to that two-way stuff we've seen for much of the fight. Ratajkowski landing a sharp right hand there, and Rambin responding with a good flurry. Emily flurries back, landing another good right and there's the bell. Close. But the brunette grabbed the round."

Cassie: "And, she's evened the fight again at 57."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Boxing continuing on even terms here in the seventh, and, again, good stuff from both fighters, both doing some of the best work they've done in their short FCBA careers. Rambin very smooth, very accurate. Ratajkowski moving very well. Showing excellent feet. Great athleticism. Great fight so far, Mac..."

McCarthy: "Well, it's not McCarthy/Spears or anything like that, but it's not bad."

O'Dell: "And, it's also every even. Cards knotted coming into this round, and the round itself very close as we hit the half way point. Not very much in this thing at all. Neither fighter has been able to pull into a solid lead, though Rambin's shown signs of doing it a couple of times and DOWN SHE GOES! RAMBIN GOES DOWN AFTER A RIGHT HAND FROM EMILY!"

Cassie: "Beautiful punch! Perfectly timed off the jab and sent Rambin right to her back!"

O'Dell: "Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Leven rolls to her hands and knees at seven. Eight. Nine. Rambin beats it! Referee going to give her the mandatory, looking in the eyes the entire time. And, he waives Emily forward. Ratajkowski immediately swinging for the fences! She drives Leven back to the ropes and lets her have it with both hands. And, now Rambin is where Emily was a couple of rounds ago, taking heavy shot and hanging on. Referee again looking in closely, but the bell will arrive before he does. That's the end of the seventh. 10-8 Ratajkowski."

Tess: "And, she's grabbed a 67-65 lead with three rounds to go."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "And, now it's Ratajkowski looking to clean up or at least consolidate coming off a big round. Rambin backing and covering early, using the long left jab to slow down Emily and get some space. The brunette not getting sloppy like Rambin briefly did. She's staying sound, getting punches set up."

Tess: "Rambin doing an excellent job with the defense-and-counter tactics, just like Ratajkowski did in the sixth."

O'Dell: "Is, indeed. She's denying the clean up, though Emily's still pressing to consolidate. Brunette continues working forward. Rambin giving canvas, circling, staying away from the ropes. Ratajkowski not getting frustrated. Just keeps working. She's having the better of things at the moment, and that's a big deal at this point in the fight."

Cassie: "Definitely is, with Emily up on the cards."

O'Dell: "Smart, veteran stuff from Ratajkowski in the late going of the eighth. She's stopped pressing. She's going to get back to the arm-length boxing we've seen quite a bit of. Rambin responding in kind and the two-way battle resumes. Twenty seconds remaining in the eighth. Good flurry Rambin followed by a good one from Emily and there's the bell. Ratajkowski's round."

McCarthy: "And, she's now up 77-74 with just two to go."

ROUND NINE:

O'Dell: "Back to work in the ninth, and it's becoming clear the blonde is going to need something big here. Just winning the last couple of rounds probably won't be enough, though there have been several close rounds, so we can't be exactly sure what's on the cards. What we can be sure of is that her corner has told her she's behind."

Cassie: "And, in no uncertain terms between rounds."

O'Dell: "Rambin working hard for sure, but she's continuing to box. Not really upping the pressure. Not looking to close. Ratajkowski fine playing this game. She's continuing to hold her own in the exchanges, move the feet, head and hands well. Yet another close round as we roll into the final minute and RAMBIN DROPS EMILY WITH A LEFT HOOK!"

Tess: "Three-punch combination, Jenny, and she stepped in for the third one and BLASTED Ratajkowski with it!"

O'Dell: "Emily dropped to her left side. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Brunette to her hands and knees. Eight. Nine. She beats it. And, the referee now gives Emily the mandatory while looking closely. And, he waives Leven forward. Rambin after Ratajkowski immediately. Knows she's running low on time to finish. She's blazing away as Emily keeps the guard high, retreats into the ropes. Ten seconds left. Good right hand, Rambin, but there's the bell. Emily survives it!"

McCarthy: "And, she's STILL up 85-84 going into the tenth."

ROUND TEN:

O'Dell: "Rambin right to the offensive now. She knows she's got to have this one, and she's going after it in a big way. Brunette giving ground, trying to jab back, create some time and space, but Leven not giving any of either. She's banging forward, forcing Emily back, battering away at the brunette, who's still looking wobbly."

McCarthy: "All she's got to do is stay on her feet and it's no worse than OT."

O'Dell: "If our cards are right, anyway. Ratajkowski backed to the ropes. Rambin getting the range down and getting some heavy shot on target. Emily sliding along the ropes to her left, away from Leven's power, keeping the guard up high, looking to counter. Landing a nice right hand there, but not slowing Rambin down."

Cassie: "Ratajkowski's got to watch herself, she's going to get trapped in the corner..."

O'Dell: "And she IS trapped in the corner and now Rambin going to TOWN. Leven with a BOMBARDMENT of the brunette, pounding away with both hands. Emily taking fire from everywhere. Referee looking in closely as Rambin wobbles the brunette with a right hook and HE"S SEEN ENOUGH! Ref leaping in between the fighters, bundling Ratajkowski to safety, and your winner by TKO10 in comeback fashion is 'The Houston Solution', Leven Rambin!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Leven Rambin, and, Leven, that was tough in there."

Leven (nodding): "She can FIGHT. Her record isn't great, because she's been fighting bigger girls, but, if she stays here at bantam where she belongs, she's going to win a lot of fights."

Tess: "In the corner before the ninth, they told you that you were behind..."

Leven: "They didn't have to tell me. I knew it. But, I also knew I could win it. I had six minutes. And I only needed five."
