BEFORE: These are two of the most experienced flyweights around the league but curiously enough, they never fought each other despite making their BBU debut over five years ago. With the divisional title picture favoring the younger girls, it's perhaps the last chance salloon for both Nikki Sanderson and Heidi Range to make a significant impact. Of course they both know Samia Ghadie's back in the UK after a lenghty spell overseas but BBU TV's Kate Abdo reckons the notorious Coronation Street babe won't spoil the fellow veterans' party tonight even though her recent twitter outburst aimed at Heidi in particular suggests otherwise.

The Cardiff Arena hosts tonight's fight and a strong presence from both Kear's Kats & Lioness Club stables indicates it's not exactly a mere ranking contest between the two BBU stalwarts. Nikki looks all bitchy during the introductions and vows to rearrange the blonde's face while Heidi seems a little nervous which is strange considering she's won seven of her last nine fights!

Nikki Sanderson wears a navy blue bikini set and white gloves. Long reddish hair tied in a custom ponytail. Heidi Range wears a red bikini set and black gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a bun at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Nikki wants to set the pace early on but struggles to dissect Heidi's high guard and gets picked off in response as the singer shows superior accuracy and thumps the redhead up the middle. However the actress is determined to make her shots count and accepts the close range slugging allthough she emerges the worse to wear after Range slams a quick one-two combo on the cheeks and wobbles her on the heels. A seamless hook to the boobs makes Nikki wince in pain and she eats more Sugababes leather thereafter with Heidi upping the work rate and pounding the redhead back to the ropes in the final minute. Nikki really struggles to handle the blonde's leather rush and reverts into blatant clinching in order to simply survive the one-sided punchfest but still gets wreched against the turnbuckle when Range nails her with a chin-busting uppercut right at the bell.

Round 2:
Heidi keeps her foot on the gas and hassles the redhead with more overhand jabbing; Nikki quickly changes her plans after the horrible opening round but fails to make the mid distance concept work and eats more precise hooks from the blonde. Lioness Club's coach Mel B. urges Heidi to make the most of the exceptional start to this fight but the singer just can't land that huge punch to really dent Nikki's title hopes tonight. However the sheer ammount of punches landing on the redhead's face still make the difference and shut Sandersos out in another dismal clinching galore come the final minute. Heidi thumps some extra beef on the breadbasket to slump her foe into aching spasms before signing off the action with another vicious uppercut to the jaw.

Round 3:
Range keeps beating the crap out of Sanderson in the third and that's not what Kate Abdo and most of the Cardiff Arena crowd had in mind; the redhead lands a couple of solid hooks on the temples at first but then wilts under the jabbing pressure as the singer leans on the front (left) leg and delivers more punches to the boobs that clearly make the actress uncomfortable. Nikki swings wide of the mark in a hectic close range response again and gets belted on the navel before a swift move upstairs has Heidi rocking the younger opponent amid more painful yelps. Sanderson lands a somewhat lucky shot on the mouth but that's as far as she goes with the Merseyside blonde blasting immediate payback and leaving visible lumps on the redhead's face. Nikki caves is behind a tight earmuff but is shoved butt-in-ropes regardless and fumes at the bell when she realizes that's three in a row for the ex-Sugababes member.

Round 4:
Coach Gail Kim is known for her short fuse and she gives Sanderson an earful during the interval. Heidi's nervous pre-fight attire has caught the Kats entourage flat-footed but Nikki finally shows glimpses of hope in the fourth when she beats the singer for the initial punch and tears a little gash under her eye in the proccess. A spirited jabbing rally reels Heidi back for the first time tonight and her response finally meets a stubborn high guard defense. Nikki ignites more speed into her action and bullies the older girl back to the corner however Heidi ducks underneath a clubbing overhand and locks a tight clinch to take some time off the clock. Sanderson groans straight into the blonde's ear trying to shake her off and harpoons a couple of hooks to the ribcage which slump the singer on her heels; the round ends with Nikki on top after another clubbing series upstairs dissects the guard and leaves Range yelping in pain.

Round 5:
Sanderson looks to build on that impressive fourth round and takes control of the close range dust up when the singer slips forward and meets a crunching uppercut on the jaw. Heidi winces in more discomfort as the redhead channels her inner JMD alter ego and bursts the blonde's cleavage with a truck load of uppercuts. Those really get to the singer who staggers back to the ropes and seeks an escape route before Nikki NAILS her with a big left hand on the brow ridge and slumps on her heels on the spot. A sudden left/right combo shatters the guard alltogether and Nikki keeps rocking the blonde's head until the lips develop a visible swelling and Heidi just gurgles her troubles and drops her gloves by her breasts. "Get in, there!!', coach Gail Kim demands instant knockdown but Sanderson bounces off the top of the blonde's forehead and when Range slumps forward, she actually manages to lock a clinch to deny the actress the ultimate prize.

Round 6:
The blonde holds onto the lead at half-distance but the momentum is with the redhead now and a desperate jabbing rush blows straight into Range's face when she jars her hand against Sanderson's hip and eats a swift hook on the swollen lips instead. Nikki bumps the aching blonde on her heels with a classic clash of jugs and scythes her across the nose with a brutal cross hook that makes the singer look vulnerable again. A right-on-right tangle tears more skin under Heidi's eyes and the bruising nature of Nikki's punches begins to wear the Merseyside lass out. She jumps into mid distance defense but Sanderson's all over her again and clubs more punches up the middle to expose the guard before an uppercut combo finds the jaw and wobbles Range into a standstill. A quick left hook on the temple meets no resistance anymore AND SENDS HEIDI CRASHING DOWN ON HER LEFT SIDE moments later. Huge roar from coach Gail Kim contradicts dead silence in the Lioness Club camp and Mel B. is simply annoyed by the fellow singer's momentum fumble. Heidi's up at seven but her looks battled-weary and flashes all kinds of red on her face. Nikki screams out at her and vows to really blow her away now but the hectic chase inside the final thirty seconds proves fruitless as the spooked singer avoids another haymaker that would have stopped her quest for good according to Kate Abdo. Nikki needs to calm down not to lose her focus and provide another momentum shift in this bout however Range's aching presence suggests she's got nothing left in the tank and the knockdown broke her resilience after all.

Round 7:
The Lioness cutmen work to stop the small bleeding from one of the cuts under Heidi's left eye but Nikki quickly opens the wound again to start the seventh as she goes all-in over the top and slumps the blonde's defense on the spot. Range doesn't have the legs to escape the phone booth-like punishment and aches her heart out again before Sanderson connects with more uppercuts on the jaw that close the blonde's eyes and knock her head about. Ugh! Heidi's almost in tears now as she gets pummelled back to the ropes and when her gloves drop one more time, Nikki blasts her across the lips and punches the gumshield flying into the stands! Heidi's legs give way at this point and her eyes bawl out to the orbit but the actress still manages to land one crisp punch to the mouth and that really blows the doors off the singer... RANGE CRASHES DOWN in the corner and slowly slumps on her left side with eyes closed... The ref waves it off on the spot as it's obvious the Merseyside singer won't beat the count anytime soon. KO7 Nikki Sanderson!!!

AFTER: Redhead is beaming with confidence shouting repeatedly at the buzzing Cardiff audience: "That's what I'm talking about! Look at that blonde tramp all WRECKED there!!!" Indeed, Heidi's been knocked out badly and struggles to regain her whereabouts leading Mel B. to lift her numb body off the canvas as both Nikki and Gail Kim gloat over in the opposite corner: "Yeah, take that trash out! She's done!"

While Heidi's title ambitions might have taken a fatal blow tonight, she's still being targeted by Samia Ghadie for a gruesome rematch and just minutes after the conclusion of this fight, the Manchester babe is active on twitter hurling insults at the former Sugababes singer. The Beever's Babes were always judged as the most notoriously obnoxious stable around BBU and Kate Abdo thinks Samia is simply jealous of Nikki's epic KO success tonight.

However Sanderson dismisses Ghadie's attention-seeking efforts and vows to emerge in the title picture through a different path which she explains to Kate Abdo: "Look, I've just beat the crap out of Heidi frickin' Range and I don't need that slughead Ghadie getting in MY way! Everyone goes gaga over Jenna Coleman and Maria Ozawa lately but I plan to take down someone like Ivana Baquero or Lorna Fitzgerald proper! These youngsters deserve a beating and I'm the person to do it! Then we can talk about Samia 'The Bytch' Ghadie and all these tramps I've been dealing with for the past half-decade or so. With Heidi down and out here tonight, I still have Gemma Merna on my hit list but I don't know if beating her gets me to the title fight so I'll stick with Baquero. Do you know if she speaks English at all?" (laughs).
