(Girls Friday vs Bronzed Oz Boxing)

Intro:
The next fight on the card is between unbeaten after 2 fights Poppy Drayton vs Zoe Ventoura, whose 1-3 coming into this fight.
Poppy reportedly needs rounds after her demolition of former Girls Friday stablemember Elizabeth Tan after one round and her first fight just lasting five.
Zoe certainly can go the distance as her last two fights have shown but she is eleven years Poppy's senior and hasn't fought in two years.

Coming into the fight, at the press conference both fighters met and Poppy was her friendly self as she shook hands with Zoe and politely spoke to her.
Zoe almost looked confused as she looked at Poppy like "you do know we are fighting" but she nevertheless replied to Poppy as equally politely for the time being.
Poppy was ushered to talk to the assembled media first and she had her trademark smile as she waved to the journalists in front of her.
"I am so looking forward to this, my third fight in my career and it's outside the U.K as I get to fight here in Sydney" says Poppy as she looks excited.
Nearly bouncing in her heels she turns to Zoe and says "I have heard of your wars babe in the ring so it is an honour to get into the ring and fight you"
Putting her hand out, she says "may the best woman on the night win and no hard feelings I hope either way"
Zoe steps up to the podium and shakes Poppy's hand as both women share a smile till Ventoura whispers "in the ring I won't be this friendly OK?"
Poppy nods as the handshake continues and the grip gets harder by both women as she replies "same with me, this is me outside the ring, wait till we are in it"
Zoe nods back as they disengage the handshake and hide the fact that their hands are sore from the tightness of the grip from each other.
Getting her chance to speak; Zoe says "well Poppy seems a good kid, I've seen her in the ring and wow is she good, I admit that but you're not as good as me dear"
Turning to Poppy, she adds "I'm a star of Australian boxing for the past decade, that's with girls like Valance and I don't mean that sister Olympia you have as a stablemate"
Finishing she says "these BBU girls are not as tough as us Aussies and I'm sorry to say Poppy, in fact that's a lie I certainly am not sorry for this, I'm going to hammer you into dust to remind people that the ACB is the rightful home of elite boxing"
Zoe now finished storms up to Poppy for the final stare down photo op and both women who were so friendly at the start of the conference look ready to fight right now as their eyes stare straight into the soul of their opponent.
It takes their coaches to drag both fighters away from each other before the fighting starts.

Fight night in Sydney, Poppy is out first in a black one piece swimsuit with a single white stripe up each side, she has to white gloves and boots to complete her attire.
Taryn Terrell and Eva Caneiro come out with her as she pounds her gloves together on the way down to psyche herself up for this fight.
Climbing into the ring, she goes to each side of the ring to wave to the crowd but gets booed as the crowd came here to fully support Zoe.
Out comes Zoe wearing a white and black striped one piece swimsuit with white gloves and shoes to complete her own stunning look.
She has Nicky Whelan in her corner, who herself gives Taryn Terrell a hard look as both women pride themselves as being top bantamweights and trainers.
Zoe climbs into the ring to a loud cheer from the locals, which does seem to get to Poppy a little as she's used to being liked by a crowd and not booed.
The fighters meet at the ring centre and they seem in good spirits to get started now as they bump chest to chest and the ref pulls them apart as Nicky Whelan and Taryn Terrell can be heard sniping to each other about how unprofessional the others girl is.
The ref goes through his routine and the ladies touch gloves as they seem to have calmed down slightly but are still on edge to start this fight.
Getting their gumshields in their corner, both bang their gloves together till the bell rings to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
Out come the fighters quickly to meet in the centre of the ring, both have high guards and are up on their toes as they trade single jabs to test each other out in the early going.
Neither really afraid of what the other can do but it's still about working out the best way to hurt the other and make them submit to your skill.
Poppy knows she won't bulldoze this girl as easily as she did Elizabeth Tan in her last fight but her speed across the canvas is creating a gulf in class already as Zoe is shipping more cleaner punches to her face then she's dealing out.
Poppy takes a hard right hook to her left cheek to ward her back as she tries to swarm the experienced Aussie, who seems happy to keep her jab out as a shield more than a weapon till she can work out a way to win this.
It's not the most exciting round as single punches continue to be the order of the day on both sides of the ring.
But Poppy is showing the greater work rate of the two and at the bell seems the happier as she returns to her corner and gets a high five off Taryn.
Zoe's trainer Nicky doesn't seem too worried yet as she keeps going over the plan of attack with her fighter to do use her experience to hurt this girl.

Round 2:
Off we go again with the fighters more relaxed and it shows as they start throwing more punches now compared to the first round.
Zoe is trying to come forward to force Poppy against the ropes but the youngster is bounding around her on her toes and clipping her to the cheeks with her jab.
The crowd are more hushed up as they have one fighter whose won tonight and are hoping that this will be the second, if she can get her punches going.
But up to now it's all Poppy as she looks like she's toying with Zoe, anyone who knows Poppy knows that she isn't, it's purely that she is quicker than her opponent and isn't going to risk being hit with a hard punch out of nowhere to end her night.
Instead she's ducking and waiving, while throwing two or three punches at a time to snap the head of Zoe back to the delight of her corner.
The bell rings with Zoe looking pissed off and red marks forming on her face as Nicky tries to calm her down so she can refocus on the fight.

Round 3:
Whether Zoe underestimated Poppy or she's lost a step, she doesn't seem to have her game plan in mind as she begins to throw haymakers at thin air to try and knock out Poppy right now.
Poppy looks lost to what's going on with Zoe but isn't going to turn down some free punches as she mixes up her counter punches.
A right uppercut connects to Zoe's chin from one of the counterpunches and down she goes to her backside, looking slightly embarrassed as she stares up at Poppy.
Getting to her feet at 6, she takes the 7 and 8 count standing, stewing to get back at Poppy, her trainer almost wants to climb into the ring and pull her to one side to calm down.
Instead she has to watch Zoe continue to be outboxed by her opponent and continue to make mistake after mistake due to her temper getting the better of her.
The bell rings and she looks even more miserable than the last round as Nicky almost pulls her down into her stool to give her a telling off.

Round 4:
Zoe seems to have calmed down but Poppy is in full flow now and she continues to stick and move around her with the up most of ease.
Zoe can only land some token shots as Poppy works her way around her, the Aussie looks in real trouble.
Poppy doesn't look to be going for the finishing blow yet as Zoe still has too much energy to simply knock her out now it seems.
But as she keeps chipping away at the chin and body of Zoe, who is visibly slowly down under the amount of punches she is taking.
Poppy starts to come forward now like a shark about to catch a wounded fish in the waters.
Zoe seems to be able to defend herself enough to though to make it too the bell and Zoe looks distraught as she tries to get her fighter ready for the next round.

Round 5:
Poppy seems ready to end this as she slams a huge straight onto the nose of Zoe to snap her back and rock her backwards.
As her head returns to it's original position, blood can be seen running from her nostrils and a cracking right hook to the temple finishes any resistance from the Australian.
The referee begins his count but Zoe is just laying on her side with no strength to get up as she shuts her eyes and rolls to her back, the ref reaches the count of 10 soon enough to deflate the crowd again.

Winner: Poppy Drayton KO Round 5

After:
Poppy looks elated at having won once again in her young career, jumping for joy before she goes over to check on Zoe.
Nicky Whelan shoves her away from her fighter as things look like they are going to become tense in the ring as Taryn Terrell comes in.
The two coaches square up to each other and go nose to nose as they beg the other to start something right now so they can put the other in her place.
The referee probably not expecting to have to do this, gets between the two coaches and orders them to look after their own fighters.
Both women stare for a moment before realising this isn't a good time to settle things when their fighters need them for different reasons.
Poppy looks stunned as she sits on the canvas after having been pushed over and Zoe has a first aider checking over her.
Zoe seems OK to stand after several moments and nods at Poppy before Nicky drags her out the ring while giving her a headache about losing.
Poppy shrugs her shoulders before Taryn lifts her up to wave to the mixed reaction from the crowd and Drayton taps Terrell on the back to say "you better put me down before there's bother"
Taryn gently puts her down before the Girls Friday group leave the ring to go talk to the media in the back but before she gets to the curtain, Ivana Baquero comes out and gives her best friend a mighty hug.
In the back, Zoe doesn't give an interview as she's doing tests to make sure she's OK and the fact Nicky didn't want her fighter to do any interviews afterwards.
Poppy does speak to the media saying "while I have to accept you guys will support your own, I hope that performance has netted me some amazing fans from here"
Talking about the fight, she says "Zoe is a tough girl, I couldn't let my guard drop as she would have dropped me but I used my strengths and hopefully I can return to the U.K for some big fights"
