LUCY HALE VS KRISTIN KREUK
Results: Lookout    Writing: Archer

Lucy: 27 YO, 5’2 (1.57 m), 21-19-0 since 2010, Pretty Little Punchers
Kristin: 35 YO, 5’4 (1.63 m), 43-43-2 since 2001, Hawkeye International

Before: “If there is one thing about HISC fighters: you take on one of us, you take on us all, Lucy has taken on Mish Williams. So now she is has to deal with me, too,” declares Kristin Kreuk at the pre-fight press conference. Her eyes narrow as she looks coldly at Lucy. “She will find out just what a mistake that is. Mish beat her. Now so will I. She can’t beat HISC fighters."

Lucy Hale does not seem impressed: “Kristin, the only reason for fighting me is because Mish beat me and you think I’m vulnerable. So you’re swooping in looking for any easy win.”

Kristin just smirks as she looks over from her seat: “I never said I was doing out of the goodness of my heart. Besides I enjoyed beating you up back in 2012. I thought it would be even better to beat you up now that you are—were—Flyweight Champion.”

“At least you are honest about it,” Lucy says, but adds, “And I’m a lot better fighter than I was in 2012 while you are—older.”

“I am still young enough to kick your spunky ass around the ring,” Kristin growls.

“We’ll see about that,” Lucy says, “but I’ve been known to kick ass too—just ask Mish over there. Hi, Mishy! I see you in the floppy hat and dark glasses!”

Mish Williams removed the dark glasses and steps forward from the crowd of reporters: “Nice to see you again, Hale!  I just thought I would come down here and let you know training Kris for this fight will be my special project. I want to make sure you lose to her, too.”

“I’m scared now,” Lucy says sarcastically.

“You aren’t—but you will be,” Kristin pipes up.

“Yes, you will be scared,” Michelle Williams said.

Lucy looked at them defiantly: “See you in the ring, Kreuk.” She then marches off the platform.

Fight night finds Lucy in an emerald green bikini with black boots and gloves. Bobbed hair hanging loose. She is giving Kristin Kreuk another defiant look. Kristin is in black short shorts and a light blue halter top sports bra. Dark blue gloves and boots. Light blue laces. Hair pulled back in battle braid. Kristin gives Lucy a smirking look of superiority. Michelle Williams watching intently from the HISC corner. Tension is strong, but instructions go briskly and even the glove tap is curt, but nothing more. Fighters go to their corners to await the bell. The bell rings…

R1: Crisp moves to the center ring by both fighters. Circling, making feints and quick moves to slip in punches. Good work from both fighters, but the intensity quickly picks up with Kristin smacking Lucy’s head with her fast rights and lefts. Lucy having to duck and counter to Kristin’s body with her own lefts and right. Then Lucy presses forward, pounding at Kristin’s waistband and then lifting hooks into chin. Kristin shifting ground strikes back hard at Lucy’s body. Lucy getting clouted hard to the chest which brings her attack to a halt. However Lucy shakes off the rack attack and circles before moving back in with a flurry of punches that knock  Kristin’s head back. Kristin struggling to shake off the blows uses a good jab to keep Lucy back to the bell. Judges give it the opening round to Lucy, but it is close.

R2: Lucy comes in bobbing and weaving as she bores in on Kristin. Kristin seems to be having trouble coping with this and then Lucy smashes her hard to the jaw with a leaping right. Kristin goes weak in the legs and stumbles away. Lucy eagerly follows up and keeps Kristin on the run for much of the round, However, late in the stanza, Kristin manages to recover enough to get that effective jab going again and stabilizing her defenses, but it is too late to prevent Lucy from taking her second round by a wide margin this time.

R3: Mish Williams on the warpath between rounds. She cups Kristin’s chin with one hand to make sure the brunette hears her hotly delivered advice on what to do next. Veteran Kristin not used to such treatment, her jaw tightens with suppressed anger, but she nods along with what Mish is telling her. Kristin comes off her stool with renewed determination, pounding her gloves together before heading to meet Lucy. Explosion of rapid fire action. Kristin driving in hard behind a hail of leather that is crashing into Lucy’s body. Lucy fighting back hard, not able to use any fancy moves, but she is willing to battle the HISC fighter toe to toe. Crowd is just loving these petite fighters going at each other full-in. Then Kristin gets some quick shots into Lucy’s jaw. Lucy stumbling back, blinking in shock, and barely able to get her jab up to protect herself from Kristin’s follow-up. Kristin hounds Lucy around the ring, but can’t quite trap her. Lucy panting hard, looking shell-shocked after the bell. Kristin smiles grimly. She looks over at Mish Williams who nods approvingly,

R4: Kristin gain mounting a heavy pressure attack on Lucy and Lucy again struggles against this in toe to toe action. Lucy again having her chest pounded, but she able to keep her head protected and counters hard to Kristin’s midsection. Kristin shifts position late in the round and drives some hard shots into Lucy’s ribs. Lucy shuddering from this fresh attack, turns and counters, but she is now gets shots over her high guard into her forehead, Lucy hangs in, but Kristin takes the round, though by a considerably narrowed margin. Kristin and Lucy exchange fierce looks before turning away to go to their respective corners.

R5: Lucy and Kristin are fired up as they fly off their stools at the opening bell and charge at each other with leaping rights. Both strike hard with Lucy getting her head swivel by terrific shot to her left jaw and Kristin getting her head swiveled by Lucy’s swat to the side of her chin. Lucy and Kristin then stumble passed each other on shaky stems as their brains are seeing stars, but within moments both shake these blows enough to locate each other and go back in punching. It is more to the body and the head this time, but it is leather applied with a steady punishing beat on sweating flesh. Lucy getting some traction by going after Kristin’s solar plexus. Lucy not able to land a direct hit, but she’s getting in enough near-misses to make Kristin protective and this allows Lucy get some stroke uppercuts to bang Kristin’s chin. Kristin jabbing back, but this only making Lucy work harder, she’s still able to find paths to Kristin’s chin. Kristin trying to cover both chin and body, but finally Lucy lands a hard shot to the solar plexus. Kristin shudders noticeable and backs away looking hurt. Lucy tries to follow and gets some desperate jabs into her mouth and nose which discourage the pursuit just long enough to get to the bell. Kristin trying to hide it, but she looks achy and hurting getting back to her corner. Lucy;s lumped up but walking with a firm step to her stool. Judges give it to Lucy Hale—close.

R6: Another between the rounds tactical lecture from Mish to Kristin, Kristin looking sullen, but nodding her head. Looks like Mish wants more action out of Kristin this round because Kristin gets very aggressive on Lucy, trying to bang punches to the head and circling to get at those ribs again. Lucy dueling back with the jab. She’s keeping up with Kristin’s movements and still going toe to toe, but she is watching closely. Kristin makes another circle, trying to get at Lucy’s ribs, but Lucy suddenly hurls a thunderbolt right that gets passed Kristin’s gloves and into the side of her chin. Kristin spins away and lurches into the ropes face first, gloves grasping the ropes. Lucy grabs Kristin’s left shoulder  and spins her around, then brings that crashing right into Kristin’s jaw. KRISTIN KREUK GOES DOWN! Like a puppet whose strings have been cut, Kristin Kreuk sinks into a sitting position against the ropes, arms limp at her sides, chin resting on her collar bone. Mish Williams rushes over and can be heard screaming: “GET UP! GET UP! DON’T LET HER BEAT YOU!” Referee is counting and Kristin does seem to stir and stars to push herself up, but just as count reaches “…SEVEN!”..” Kristin’s chin goes down to her collar bone and she slides back down into her sitting position against the ropes. As the count reaches “….TEN!—YOU’RE OUT!” Kristin topples over and ends up with her cheek resting on the canvas she slumbers peacefully. Mish Williams throws up her hands and storms away leaving lesser HISC corner people to tend the defeated fighter.
THE WINNER: LUCY HALE—KO6.

After: Lucy mobbed by Danielle Campbell, Ashley Benson, Leah Pipes, and Sasha Pieterse. She can barely contain herself when Kristin is brought around. She rushes over, grabs Kristin’s left arm and puts it in a hammerlock behind her back. Kristin still dazed, bleats a protest, but the fired-uo Lucy is not to be denied her walk of shame. Lucy adding a couple of nasty wedgies whenever Kristin gets balky. Kristin weeping in rage before she is finally pushed into the arms of her corner people. Lucy struts back to her corner and welcoming celebration of her PLP teammates.

“It was a really sweet win,” Lucy Hale tells press later, “and it was even sweeter displaying my trophy after I knocked her out. You see Mish blow her cool. Bet Krissy gets sent to bed without her cookies and milk tonight!”

“It was a very disappointing fight for us,” Mish Williams tells press. “Kristin just did not follow my advice properly. She lost. I trust now she will understand the importance of listening to what I tell her.”

No sign of Kristin Kreuk once she’s been whisked back to HISC dressing room and then (presumably) out of the building. Wild rumors sweep social media claiming Mish has subjected Kristin to a “re-education” program involving an hours long breast smother sessions. Others say Kristin and Mish did some apartment house wrestling and Kristin got the worst of it in a series of painfully applied Mish submission holds.Or maybe it was Mish who got the worst of these. The rumour mill can’t seem to agree. HISC spokespeople refuse to discuss it: “We never talk about internal team matters. If Kristin and Michelle have a problem, they are veteran enough to work it out for themselves.”

Post fight drama is taking away from what was a actually a hard-fought, close-run battle between Lucy Hale and a well-established veteran. Looks like Lucy is bouncing back from the loss of her title and her recent loss to Michelle Williams. Could be another title opportunity late this year or early next be coming? She’ll have to beat more than Kristin to get that chance, but it could happen. Meanwhile, Kristin Kreuk remains a dangerous veteran for any rising new star. We don’t think she’ll be in the HISC doghouse for long!
